They’re all superb. Gentlemen, Black love and 1965. On another level. Syncopated soul grunge (or something). Looks like the crowd didn’t deserve them lol. Actually congregation is a master piece too. An interesting one to listen too is “up in it” it’s an early one that hits hard like grungy punk rock but you can see their love of soul music beginning to emerge. Fucking awesome.
This video just exemplifies Dulli as a man of brutally honest levels of integrity who doesn't fuck around. It shows in his music too, he could've probably sold the Whigs out to be one of the biggest bands of the 90s, but he chose to be himself. Saw these guys in Melbourne last night. I'm still feeling emotional about what I experienced. The soul in their music just does things that other mammoth 90s rock acts didn't even come close to. Devilish Sexy Slithery Soul meets Alt. Rock.
I think the downvotes are from the guy who got kicked out. My favorite song of theirs! Met Greg a couple times now. He's such a nice guy and one of the best songwriters alive.
he's my dad lol, he was in the airforce during the Kosovo war, he think this song sucked, and wanted to get up on the stage, he actually came back in after he got kicked out, hes 45 now and still never regrets it, he would do it again lol. I love my old man, he def didnt downvote lol
So proud to say my band recorded a record with John Curley is such a prince of a man, and he is the antithesis to Greg Dulli's brutal sharp, and often breathtakingly Beautiful lyrics. Shoutout to my hometown Cincinnati boys, the fucking great Afghan (Somewhat gratuitous Greg would dig this) Motherfucking Whigs!! P.s> Au Revoir Dogface collarboy!
sorry mixed the albums up!there will b never another album as great as "gentlemen"when we 2 parted ,wow, one of d d best songs ever, thanks 4 d correction.respect afghan, twilight and gutter fans
You guys should seriously check out the Gutter Twins, Greg's new project with Mark Lanegan (ex-Screaming Trees). They are touring this summer - they are fucking amazing. Go see them.

Faded is Greg Dulli's Purple Rain. A Masterpiece of emotions.
good point.
Or When We Two Parted
Agreed. Simply a masterpiece! But another masterpiece of his is Omertà/Vampire Lanois. And they have to be played in sequence with each other!!
except better
@@user-wo5tc9ux7u I'm pretty sure Greg Dulli would disagree since Purple Rain is his favorite album of all time. :-)
I listen to this when I'm drinking and feeling melancholy. I cry my eyes out. Beautiful!
So do I ...
As do I❤ let's keep our heads up! 🤟🏾✊🏾✌🏾
We all do. ❤️
black love is one of my most listened albums EVER

Omfg...Afghan Whigs & Deftones. Something this musically amazing could've only happened in the 90's. R.I.P. 90's....
I come back and back to this for years and years.
this is the greatest Whigs video of all time. hands down!
The live version of My Curse, with Marcy on vocals, is much better in my opinion
Imagine watching this and then getting to see Deftones straight after. Got to be one of the greatest back to back festival sets ever
Man,AFGHAN WIGHS and DEFTONES!!!!I'd like to see that concert damnit!
this is my all-time favorite afghan whigs song ever!
one of the biggest bands of the 90s...even far from the mainstream, has the best written songs in rock
Duli knows no shame! There are bands....and then there's the Whigs!!!!!
Love it.
Au revoir!
Total class.
we were there,.. the weather after AW turned so bad, that the Deftones were basically rain-stormed off stage..crazy. i feel old ...but happy :)
I saw them perform this at Reading 1998, just before the Deftones also! Incredible stuff. Love Greg. ❤
Such a truly unique band and sound. A hidden gem.
One of the greatest songs and performances ever.

This along with 'Then she did...' by Jane's in Milan are still my favourite live videos of all time. Oh and the Prince Superbowl half time show.

Anyway, everyone there was lucky to have witnessed this; even those that didn't realise it.
God I love this.
Thanks, Whigs-----Loved It.....Grady Lark
