No you are not going mad! This is last night's content reuploaded. I pulled it after realising I was competing directly with the PS5 reveal - but here it is for you again, back in your feed!
Do you have no faith in your fans? I went to watch this immediately after the PS5 reveal and was disappointed that the video was pulled.
It's not that I have no faith in my fans, it is that I have no faith in the algorithm and was concerned would not end up appearing in non subs suggestions. Although I may have already buggered it now!
@@TopHatGamingManChannel Did you delete your old video though ? its usually worse if you did rather than set to private
The mad story of how top hat tried to take on Sony head to head.
@@Evergladez fight! fight! fight! fight!
Another bizarre thing about this game is that Cody is able to do the whole Fist of the North Star "You're already dead" thing.
Nani?
@@partridgestorm Omai wa mou shinderou
Final Fight 4 coming in the future? Hopefully Capcom get inspired by SoR4!
This guy knows what's up.
Well considering how SFV is setting up a side plot of someone trying to take over Metro City again and Cody and Mike trying to flush them out, there is hope.
@@TheSwordsman100 Yes, all in all, it is the perfect momentum for FF4. New Ff vs SR war!
@TripleDoubleNoTAS Does not matter. Fans does not need to beg for it. With the success of sor4 its no brainer. Moreover, streetwise is nothing that made ff successful. Different game. We need awesome 2D sequal. Come on Capcom!
@TripleDoubleNoTAS
The only thing Capcom kept from Streetwise is Cody's last name and brother and it was only in a the profile section where they also have profiles for multiple non canon characters. Everything thing else from it they have ignored or outright contradicted with SFV. So it is only broad strokes at best. (Heck the SF wiki doesn't treat it as canon) As for the title itself since Streetwise did not use the title FF4 it is still up to grab. Just like how there were multiple Sonic the Hedgehog games that could be thought as the 4th entry but the title didn't got to them.
Nine out of ten British housewives can't tell the difference between Final Fight Revenge and a dead crab.
While I appreciate Capcom revisiting final fight as a fighting game, I wish they left it up to Arc system works like they did with the Sengoku Basara fighting game! Which would also be a great game for you to cover!
Arc System Works couldn't do even do much with Double Dragon.
Lmao@7:40 El Gado looks like he's doing something else to Poison😅😅😅I always wanted to play this game.
Can you look at Primal Rage🦍🔥🦖
.... & its cancelled sequel that does have a prototype or 2 around.
The funny thing is how Poison's moveset from SF4 is based on her version of this game, and the same for Haggar on MvsC3.
Cody was just comming in Alpha 3 and is very different, and also Hugo, even with 2nd Impact already released.
Those graphics are shocking.
Hard to believe that Soul Calibur released on Dreamcast not too long after this.
I like obscure fighting games and have yet to try this one out. Some other obscure fighting games I absolutely adore are Art of Fighting 3 (basically 2D tekken with fireballs), Tobal No 1, and Last Bronx. Eventually, I'll play every fighting game made. As of right now, there's still a list to tackle!
I remember actually really wanting this game and being mad that it was only released in Japan, i finally got to play it a few years ago and....yea, i'm actually glad it never left Japan, lol. Literally the only thing i liked about FF Revenge was the music, that's it. This game and Street Wise are what put the Final Fight series in the grave for good.
Welp, time to rewatch it.
Yeaaaaaaaahh
Hmm, River City Ransom could use some attention.
I gotta say this game actually looks really fun. I could see some people hanging out, winner stays on style, and having a great time.
Now that's more sensible timing 😉👍
Hah!
I have this games and have played it, yet still occasionally forget that it exists.
Fighting Force for the PS1... I believe it was based on the Streets of Rage games.
It was going to be Streets of Rage 3D. But Sega wouldn't allow the developers to release on multiple consoles. So they just called Fighting Force.
"time to go *DEEP* yeaaahhhh" sounded very sexual haha.
How could they mess this up?
>>Outsourced their work to Americans
Oh. That's how.
Thanks for making these videos. SFIIturbo Revival is now one of my all time favorites now.
I would honestly love a Final Fight Revenge 2 using a Street Fighter 5 esque ending, many of my favourite Street Fighter characters do happen to be from Final Fight, Rolento, Cody and Lucia are all characters I really enjoy. I doubt it would ever happen but it would be fun.
I like how some of the FF characters ended up in other Capcom fighting game, love the FF stage in USF4....
That tumbnail of Poison blowing a lolley is EPIC 😅🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🌶🔥
I love Star Gladiator! It was one of the first games I ever played on the PSX. The sequel Plasma Sword was the first game I bought along with my Dreamcast. I'd love to see a Star Gladiator video if it's possible
i knew very little about this odd title, thank you for enlightenig me and many others mate
Capcom was very slow in the transition to 3D graphics, this game is a good proof, they almost were left behind technologically during the 5th generation of consoles, luckily they caught up for the 6th.
You mean, they had Rival Schools......and THIS is how they did Final Fight???
any game with poison eating a popsicle in it, is not a complete failure......
speaking of streetwise, i know it is a long shot but BEATDOWN on ps2, released around the same time, was a great example of a 3d beatem'up done right...
LLR 'Lazy Lebanese Reviewer' 80 Oh, that’s a popsicle?
Great vid. Just like streets of rage 4, we need a proper final fight 4 game.🤞🤞
Great work as always!! I always look forward to these installments on the weekend.
How about taking a crack at Rage of the Dragons? It's a great fighting game loosely based on Double Dragon. Or maybe one of my absolute favorites: Kabuki Klash aka Tengai Makyou Shinden?
I can only assume the characters from FF 2&3 weren’t included because there must be some distribution issues with Nintendo. I mean to this day 2&3 haven’t been rereleased outside of Nintendo. I wouldn’t doubt if there’s some clause with the newly created characters.
Excelent video as Always Top Hat!! Bad decisions and no risking ruins this game! It is a shame no one can do justice to the original Final Fight.... Wait... MIGHTY FINAL FIGHT do that on Nes!!!!! Greetings my friend, hope you and your family are fine!
Cool video but you made a whopper of a mistake on this one your usually quite accurate what happened? When you mentioned Akira Yasuda you showed a pic of Akira Nishitani. Then went on to say that Akira Yasuda went on to form Arika. There are two Akira's their two different men, Akira Nishitani was a director/planner at Capcom. Akira Yasuda (the one wearing glasses) was head of the art department and was the art director. The two men would work together on many different titles at Capcom including Lost World, Final Fight, Street Fighter II, and X-Men Children of the Atom. After X-Men Nishitani would leave Capcom to form Arika (not Yasuda) where he would developed the Street Fighter EX series and Fighting Layer. Akira Yasuda would stay at Capcom and continue on to head the art department where he would go on to developed many other Capcom game's including Street Fighter III. So they are two different men. Maybe you should pull the video down again and just delete that part out the doc could totally work without it. Interestingly enough Yasuda worked on Final Fight Revenge doing redesigns for the character's, so the man that created the final fight characters worked on there redesign for Revenge. Not that it help the game any.
i almost forgot that i had played this game in the arcades in Singapore, only thing i can recall about this game is somehow (i can't recall how) being chased by a vehicle and being attacked by it.
I didn't even know that this game existed. I know I would have like to played it for the nostalgia.
I wondered why the Saturn game used the 4mb cart....i suspect laziness though still seems a odd decision
Look at that cool artwork for the character profiles next to this horrible polygon models.
The graphics and controls are terrible on Final Fight Revenge. They need Final Fight 4 like Streets of Rage 4.
Absolutely, Final Fight 4 has to happen due to how awesome Streets of Rage 4 turned out in order to honor the rivalry.
I genuinely hope they somehow make Hugo/Andore a playable character.
*HAMMER MOUNTAIN!*
That picture of Poison is doing it for me
Never heard of this game as usual Richard you are a great source for knowledge
I never got to play this one they should have just made this game a 2-D fighter featuring all the characters from final fight with some guest characters from Street Fighter like guile and Cammy.
Its not as bad as Streetwise at least
I dont think streetwise was all that bad. Its graphics and camera angles were horrible but aside from that i rather enjoyed the game.
thanks for the re upload...yeeeeeaahhhhh💯👍🏾
The review so nice he uploaded it twice
Yo that prone crawl would be a dope vskill for Rolento in Sfv
He may be coming to SF5 this year. He's on one of those Japan-only 30th anniversary tarot cards that appear to be predicting SF5's dlc characters. Too bad the other 4 are duds. Gouken, Adon, Sodom, & Abel would have been some solid additions to SF5's weeby roster.
That’s a really good point, why the heck didn’t Capcom use their ZN-2 board for this considering they used it for loads of other 3D arcade titles? I wonder if it was just down to the US development team being more familiar with Saturn hardware than PlayStation?
Petition Capcom to produce Final Fight 4 with M2 or some Indy Fan as the producer.
At least Lucia, Maki, Carlos and Dean were spared from having their last appearance for a long time being in a game most ppl dislike, though I can't personally speak on the quality. At least the ladies live on in Street Fighter too
I look forward to your final fight streetwise video in the near future big daddy top hat. I feel like i am the only guy in the world who enjoyed that game. Sure it didn't have the best graphics or camera angles. But to me everything else was solid.
It was crap Final Fight works better as a 2d sidescroller at Least Streets Of Rage 4 refrained from being a crap 3d game
I love that game and still replay it.
I disagree about their being a huge shift in consumer focus. I think the temporary decline of great pixel art had far more to do with pressure Sony for publishers to create 3-D games rather than 2-D. We lost a lot of great pixel artists and forced the hand of companies to start over and redevelop things in 3-D. Obviously the Saturn was still a great environment for devs to work in 2-D, but their sloppy marketing and split playerbases (32-X / Saturn) did a lot to hurt their market share.
Final Fight was once a sequel to Street Fighter, trying to update the game by turning it into a beat em up instead... then Final Fight would finally be turned into a fighting game, pun nonintended
7:43 lol el gado humping poison
I bought this game at launch. I was so mad. I think I played it twice and then it sat on a shelf for the past (nearly) twenty years.
You could almost consider SF Alpha as the real Final Fight fighting game. Something about FFR always made me want to play it, with all its cheesey glory. Its crazy that it came out in 2000 for the Saturn (1999 in arcade as mentioned). Is there any major differences in the versions? The Saturns home ports were always top tier, but it did seem like Capcom squeezed this out right at the end of the Saturns lifespan as it was their last game for the console.
They could have padded the roster a bit more if Poison and Roxy where in a s different characters. With maybe some extra moves or stats?
I hope you review Crisis Beat a beat 'em up for the Play Station 1.
Power Stone came out the same year with a 10 character roster though you got unlockable fighters and items. I wanted to say this game crawled so Power Stone could run but they came out the same year.
What do you think of Street fighter EX3? - I still really like that game (quite underated) - Skullomania was the best.
"I love you long time eeuhy" hmm, I finally get why you have a decent amount of Patreons...
Hey, Top Hat Gaming Man! Can you please do a video on Sonic the Fighters (Sonic Championship)?
It's made by the same Team who made Streeetwise.
@@Abyessal good thing SF5 Revamp him as a New Character.
Like the thumbnail 😂
Andore looks pretty cool tho 😁
Damn, chalk one up to a game I didn't know existed! Hey Top Hat, do you play your games on their original hardware, or do you play them through PC emulation?
Do Vendetta! Always wished they released it on a home console
Im gonna be honest. I had a moderate amount of joy when i played this game. I honnestly can see why it didnt succeed, but at the same time i always found this agame as pretty enjoyable. Good even. Nothing in the game wasnt anything i havent seen before but i do apreciate the item mechanic. Its a good callback to the Final Fight classics. And it is sad that Capcom didnt at least put Maki, Dave, and Lucia in the game but i honestly thaought the roster wasnt that bad. (Small but not bad). Its just basically a roster filled with mostly characters form FF1 which once again i can see why its a problem for so many, but at the same time, I just dont have much of a problem with this game. Annd i played a lot of Final Fight 1 growing up so i dont particularly mind the roster. And the graphics, well Capcom should have worked on this game for the Sega Naomi instead of the S-TV. Overall I can honestly say i had a good experience with this game
i do like some of the charm this game has in some of the endings(and final fight honestly already started declining way before this game, really not that surprised it became part of street fighter since it made some of the characters more memorable so i don't think it's entirely this games fault.)and how it started a lot of things like accentuating poison's sexiness,to an extent belger being alive(which the comics and possibly the games ran with.) and being the first onscreen depiction of cody's downfall to his period as a convict in the alpha 3/4 before his redemption as mayor in 5.(with it being implied to along with street fights out of boredom mostly being framed by poison's crimes which her winquotes somewhat allude to.)
Amo este juego.
This is a fun game to emulate with a Sega USB controller.
This was a arcade release. Capcom struggled with 3d fighters for along time. Compare this game to Fighting Vipers that came out in 95', that looks and plays better then this.
I can still see it when I close my eyes ahhhhh
And now I'm the only mayor who is in a fighting game
Cody is the mayor of metro city and is playable in SFV.
I've been having final fight revenge on Sega Saturn for-- 4 years can't believe I only got the game for $250 on eBay -- my luck and no one out outbid me. :)
Miss that game
Revenge of Shinobi on the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive please
Capcom needs to get their shit together. We asked for DarkStallers, Rival Schools, and fighters other than Street Fighter. No one wanted another season for SFV...
“Yeeaaahhhhhhhhh”
How about the mad story of Project Justice, the sequel to Rival Schools?
Already made that one!
Everyone who’s turned on by Poison and Roxan I’d like to remind you... it’s a dude, package and everything.
Ikr lul
Hey, Top Hat Gaming Man. Can you please do a video on the original Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 64?
🔥🔥🔥
I wish final fight had a cpsIII entry
Capcom also released the Mega Man Legends games just as late wth very unappealing graphics that only nostalgic fans would defend.
Honestly I’ve never heard of this game!
“Final Fight Revenge a complete embarrassment”
(Stares at thumbnail of Poison) I have no idea what you are talking about.
Looks terrible. Atleast Poison is still hot.
I'll let you find out for yourself
@@sonicmaster206 Maybe he's into "that", I know I am.
I played Final Fight Rsvenge and it's good dumb fun to me
also, when are you gonna cover Battle Circuit?
because imho, I love AVP, but Battle Circuit > Aliens vs Predator
Why did it turn out like this? The final fight franchise coulda gotten a second wind as a one-on-one figthing game but instead this happened.
Please do videos on street fighter 1,tekken,& doa
Interestingly this game had American voice actors like Lani Minella rather than getting a full Japanese seiyuu cast with one or two english voice actors.
I liked mighty final fight on my nes😊
Lol Whats that thumbnail with poison from is it from this game ?
Looks a lot like Street Fighter EX but has more variety i would say
This game!
Lets do next art of figther 3
What about Golden Axe The Dual on the Saturn?
I'm not really bothered by FF Streetwise being terrible. I consider it a "Guilty Pleasure" game and If you need help with your Streetwise video, I highly Recommend "Mac Mcmuscules" videos for further research.
I liked final fight revenge it was fun novelty game like street fighter ex.
Ugh, I bought this when it was new. Paying retail makes it a cooler game hehe
Can you look at Denjin Makai?
I cannot help but feel Guy is just another Ryu, Cody is just another Guile, and Haggar is just another Zangief in gameplay, kinda uninteresting if you ask me.
Cody and Guile are nothing alike and neither are Guy and Ryu.
yay I gave it the 1000k like woop
Programmed in the US....That's the problem right there.
