Mets had a lead in every game this series. Even had a run late in 3 of our losses. Lost two in extra innings. That's what made not winning the series tough.
As a Mets fan, this is bitter sweet. The run and everything leading up to it, while also being 1 step away from winning it all because of minor mistakes. LGM.
I agree. The series was a lot closer than a lot of people may remember. The Mets were in every game and if it wasn't for the minor mistakes adding up, they would have won it.
as a Royals fan, we knew our window to win would be brief...such is the reality of small market teams..ya got to really win big when you get the chance because you know your best players are gonna seek more $$ than you can pay when they become FA..
@@carsonc29 also lets not forget how old school of a coach Yost was, so players like Mondesi weren’t ever gonna lead the team into the future when you’ve got guys just mashing homers and leading their teams to World Series’
Yo yo hold your roll ,when the fuck mets made it to world series after 86. Nah yo was I living under a rock or something. Who punking me. . The Mets in 2015. Stop playing with me
Youre right we had a chance to cash in on all these guys with a sub par record. We should have reloaded even though i love all these guys. A fire sale would have been good for the organization.
+David Capp I completely agree. Hosmer's base running on that play will be considered one of the most memorable plays in World Series history. I did very much enjoy this highlight show though. Good job SteelersLakersFan.
Mets bullpen is ass... Met's infield was questionable. Meanwhile Cespedes the big gun made two too many fielding mistakes and did do so hot. The Mets are a streaky team, when degrom got going around the allstar break It was really something. Earlier versus the cubs when Duda got hot, and cespedes has been cold this postseason. Murphy after that 6 HR streak has been cold. The Met's only hot player was Curtis Granderson... If the mets can cancel out some of that streakyness and build up a bullpen, Idk if they need cespedes. If they want to win now and lose the young arms in several years, get cespedes, but if you want to continue being a future team leave cespedes out who wants a multi million 6 year contract.
+Alexander Chin your Mets will be back.I grew up watching the Royals lose to the Yankees I thought all My fans were the same but Mets fans are the best go Mets 2016
+Alexander Chin the whole Metz team sucks man. Defense? The worst I've ever seen in the postseason. Had "some" power but a weak hitting team also. Pitching? The Royals skull-f____ them easily. The Metz are a middle-of-the-road team, they would have had a mediocre season if they were in the AL. The AL is so much better than the NL. Not even close. won
+Jordan Gee I agree with Patrick and Jordan. Leaving out Hosmer's game-tying, mad dash home in the top of the 9th of Game 5 was a sin! One of the gutsiest World Series plays ever made.
I think the reason the royals won was because the coaching of the Mets in the ws was horrific, so many coaching errors including letting Harvey pitch that last inning cost most of their losses
I’m a mets fan. I always come back here time to time to relive the sorrow. Because if I don’t, the next time it happens I won’t be used to it. So let me just remind myself of my teams failures. 😩
We dem boys! What an awesome feeling that was! I come back and watch these highlights every so often! I waited 30 years to see my hometown team win the World Series !! Greatest feeling ever!
Born in 86 never thought I see the royals win a world series in my lifetime great memories! And now in 2018 the chiefs in position to win a super bowl freaking crazy!
How on earth do you leave off the Murphy boot in Game 4 and the Hosmer suicide run in Game 5? And you have all of the outs in the 9th inning in Game 3? Whoa. This is not well edited.
The Royals were definitely a team of destiny!!!! Amazing squad. Wish they could have kept that core (Hosmer, Cain, Salvy, Gordon, Moose, Escobar) together just a couple of more years. Special!!!!!!
Game 5: Top of the 12th 2-2 With a 1-2 count, and a pinch hitter, Christian Colon was surely going to strike out. Out of nowhere, to everyone’s surprise , Colon started the momentum that was needed, scoring an rbi causing the royals to lead the game 3-2. This rbi was one of the most important in the entire 2015 season And a year later, Colon signed my baseball. It makes me feel proud now
Hosmer scoring in the 9th was the play of the series. It was the play of the year. Showing so much of Harvey leaving the game and skipping the tying run? Gotta be a story behind that.
The author showed an abnormal amount of Mets highlights (almost all of their runs scored including all 9 from game 3) but showed less than 40% of KC run scoring plays, including the Hosmer play which will forever be immortalized in MLB history. It was just not an unbiased highlight reel.
Man I really miss this royals team. We had hosmer, moustakes, Cain, Perez, Gordon, Escobar, Cueto, herra, holland, and most of all, wade davis. Now Gordon, Perez, remain from all those.
Pretty good video, although of ALL the highlights of the World Series, the one they didn't include was Hosmer's mad dash home that tied Game 5 and sent it into extra innings, which ultimately decided the game, and the entire series. Why would you leave that ONE play out?
me a Met fan give it to the Royals they came back 3 times to beat us late....defense won the series because ours stunk...just happy David Wright after 12 seasons finally in a world series and he owned game 3
At home watching the last game. Daughter comes home from work. She says, "looks like the Royals will be playing another game". Me- " Don't be wet, it's only the 8th inning". And as Paul Harvey used to say.....And now you know rest of the story!
Wide Out Its called being competitive in the moment , I wish Terry would have not caved but Matt was face of our francise at the moment. Congrats you won we lost but put yourself in his situation
Didn't include Murphy's Error from game 4, either. It was a pivotal moment in the game and the series.OrHarvey's argument with Collins, another BIG mistake.
This is ok but not great. You keep missing so many highlights including the lead changes. The score is 2 to 1 then suddenly at the next clip it's already tied 2 to 2... who scored, what happened?
Everyone blames Wright or Duda. I blame Harvey. When your team is down 3-1 in the series, it's time to survive and advance--nothing more. Harvey pitching the 9th was showboating. That was game suicide against a team that capitalized on late-innings weaknesses.

No. The Royals were just that good.
Royals were a great team that year. Hit for power, could run, and had decent fielding too.
@@Thunderdad974 the Mets relief was that bad

Damn I miss the royals being good. This was such a unique team imo. It had been a while since a small ball team won a WS.
MANCHESTER UNITED ok
It was a very fun special time. So glad I got my kids to some games in 15
when you are a fan of a small market team like KC, you have to enjoy the small windows of success because they wont come along very often

game 1 best of the series for sure.
Game 1 truly was a great game for the Royals.
The Gordon HR in the 9th still gives me chills to this day
The theme for many K.C. Royals highlights was "Speed don't Slump"!
Not every team can overcome a 3-1 deficit to win the series. 😂 😂 😂

Kyle Montagni no they can't lol they came back 3-1

To come up 90 feet short in 2014, then come back to win it all in 2015, that was an excellent group.
Great Highlights, but Hosmer's score to tie game in 9th was one of the pivotal plays of the series.
No Murphy error in game 4 and no Hosmer scoring to tie game 5? Those were definitely the 2 most important plays of the whole series!
thanks for putting it together.
I remember being at the first game.. it was awesome

I was pretty pissed off when Terry Collins kept Harvey in for the 9th. I was literally shouting PUT IN FAMILIA! But still this was a great series.
But if you think about it, Familia had already blown 2 saves in the postseason. So, at the time, Harvey looked like the smarter play.
JN336 , but Harvey should have came out as soon as he let up that walk
familia is very inconsistent and he was not doing well this postseason so keeping in harvey wasn’t bad
Granderson was my favorite Mets player ever
Miss those days Kansas City Royals ran that s*** go KC maybe one day soon we will do it again
