- Drag legend Sherry Vine joins Delta on the show today! Sherry has spent the last 34 years of her life doing drag and has some great stories to tell. She talks about the different chapters of her life, writing parodies and creating her own personal glory hole! Also, the two wonder: Where have manners and decorum gone? Plus, Delta goes off about noise! Do you REALLY think she wants to hear “La Chona” at 2 a.m. while lying in bed? No.
This show really is the confluence of culture, history, and comedy
This is an odd combination of 1972, 1987, and 2024
High art 💚
@@queenkitt high camp is low art and that's how we want it lol
Yes, the queens are Aging. It's okay.
@@PhilAlumbi was thinking the comment was referring to the editing, screen ratio, color grading.
This is the queer art Megami wanted us to protect.
The thrasher magazine lol
So random
I have a Sherry Vine paper doll that’s vintage in my collection! She’s such a legend.
Thank u for bringing up Roseanne. She really actually made me feel accepted as a young gay kid. She addressed ALL of the issues on her series and she was one of the first 😊
Me too. I'll always hold love and space for THAT Roseanne. Breaks my heart who she is today.
Same.
Roseanne is a character and the actress playing her is homophonic and supports bigotry sad but it’s true 😢
Yup. Same here. Which makes it all the more tragic.
Sherry still put here, looking better than the younger queens.. LOOK AT HER!! ICON!
I saw her in person and at meet in greet (she opened for Bianca Del Rio) and she really looks that young and that good in person! She's gorgous.
Because she actually pads and puts boobs on.
This gives my mom and my English teacher in middle school because they would go out to the club back when they were in their twenties. Slayconic
But your 20s is when people typically go to the clubs 🤷🏽♀️ What grade did English start as a subject for you? How old were you then? Not your mom's fault she had you young... just because she was a young mom didn't mean she wasn't allowed to go to a club once in a blue moon.
It's another thing if you are in 6th grade and you're 12 and your mom was 42 (gave birth to you at 30) and in the clubs grinding up on 25 or 27 year old guys. 🤷🏽♀️ Just saying.
@@trevizolgagirl what the actual fuck u talking abt... Like did you read an entire different comment are you in another timeline?
I agree that phone etiquette is gone. Parenting etiquette is gone. My partner and I went to see Taylor in theatre. There were brats running back and forth in front of us and the parents, who were literally right beside me, did nothing and sat on their social media the whole time. At full brightness. I understand having a good time, but there are childless people there. There are also better routes for the children to take, which were not in front of us, that the parents chose not to suggest. They thought Taylor was babysitting that day.
I have to press an extra button to open my new “childproof” microwave… are kids getting dumber or is the parents…? 🤔
This is one of the most underrated shows on UA-cam! Delta is AMAZING! Asking a question and then applying makeup gives me my life everytime!!!!
I agree. I'm Gen X and have loved drag since the early 90's. We're pretty much, live and let live. I find the judgemental tone now shocking. What a great guest and icon.
Sherry Vine is SUCH a fucking legend. When I moved to NYC and saw her in 2016 for the first time, I was STAR STRUCK, and she was just so kind and genuinely interested in engaging with folks (when the other new baby queens wanted to be bitchy to everyone). Sherry, thanks for being an icon
LOVE Pink
I love how Sherry goes on about the older days and Delta is acting like she was there but she’s much younger. It’s actually so how I feel when I’m hanging out with the cool kids from back in the day. We need to get Delta & her mom tickets to go see Wicked on Broadway though! She’s never been to a Broadway show?! We need to change that!
Omg. The writer who said they assign gender to numbers! I do that too. And yes, 4 is a diva and 5 is male. However, he’s possessive. 9 is the alpha male. 2 is a princess. Gosh. I hadn’t thought about that in ages.
Thrasher magazine!! ❤ I used to be obsessed with those when I was a kid. I Love this UA-cam talk show.
When I was younger I saw Sherry vine perform in New York - to this day I still look back on it as one of the best performances I’ve ever seen it was to Stevie Nick‘s song at squeezebox. I also went to Bardo and saw Joey Arias. I love the old queens from New York I simply love Bunny and Jackie beat and Bianca I really enjoy how they say what Robin Williams or George carlin would say it is really an art to do comedy and to do drag God bless these people for being born and inspiring us God bless them all. Namaste mama Delta ❤
Just another Very Delta episode I finish and rewind right back to the start to watch again
''I dont need someone to police me'' - Sherry Vine , is such a powerful statement!
32:46 "it's like how much we ask out of cauliflower, could you be pizza?" im dead
Commenting for the algorithm and because I care
Sherry is the best!! Thank you, Delta!!♥️♥️♥️
THIS is what Very Delta is all about!!! Legend!!!
This premieres at 7pm on a Monday in NZ and it makes Mondays something to look forward to
I got to meet Delta at dragcon last week and i told her “you make mondays worth living” 😅
Mother/Daughter act must happen! OMG, just my imagining of it is hilarious.
what a hilarious storyteller Sherry Vine is, I'm over here just cackling with all types of visuals coming in...LOL THANK YOU...
We always hear about the legends like Sherry, but wow what a lovely lady. Loved this episode.
Orange diamomd thought of the week! Yes! 🔶🔶🔶
"It's not a platform." YES! This is why I love Sherry Vine ❤
The thrasher mag is sending me wtffffff😂😂😂😂😂 I also like my blinds closed delta stay outta my business lmao
I could listen to these two for hours! My people do exist! Thank you!
The day Jiminy Glick and Delta meet the world will explode
We need this crossover ! To damn with the world 🌎
Omg yess
Omg! I thought the same thing 😂
My first introduction to drag was through Sherry's parodies on UA-cam. I later had the pleasure of seeing her live. Big kisses 💋
_Fog machines, Slick Deejays and Laser Rays_ sounds like a Law practice.
GOOPED @ the issue of thrasher!! My worlds colliding like this is VERY DELTA
Agree! A true woman of the people
Love the Legends!!!! Thank you Delta and Sherry you are fabulous !!!!!!!!
Delta great show. ❤ I was in my twenties during the nineties, in nyc. It was fanastic time for bars and clubs, and I believe I remember Sherry from Barracuda. She always made me laugh and some of her parodies are hysterical! 💯
I love my Monday Madness with Delta.
TS Madison needs to be a guest!!! Two Drive Thru Divas chatting it up on the couch
YESSS
Yaaaaaaas, that's what I am waiting for one of the funniest people in the industry
It’s giving my mom and my Tia talking chisme in the other fancy living room I can’t play in lol 🩷 I love them so much
What a wonderful guest. I’ve always heard the name Sherry Vine but never knew much about her. Delta is such a beautiful interviewer.
This was the most organic and spontaneous episode
Yessss orange diamond thoughts 🔸️🔸️🔸️
Every week Delta has amazing hair 😊. I love looking forward to each week’s looks!
One of the best episodes! I love when it gets serious here, please not pressure to be funny or to be anything! Sherry needs to come back soon!
Two of my faves! LOVED IT!
Omg, I could watch HOURS of this! Sherry and Delta talking about the 90s’ and the stories….can Sherry come back next week?? lol. Seriously, thank you all who work on this show and especially, DELTA! 💖✨⭐️
I'm a little disappointed Sherry didn't talk about her cameo in the hit 1982 music video "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake
This is wild to listen too! Y’all are the OG Queens!!
Thank You, Delta 💖 You are a gifted interviewer & a lovely human! 💥 _GO OFF_ 💥
I loved this so much. More of this please.
I wanna see Sherry's Wizard of Oz parody so badly now.
Last year Sherry came to the bar i was performing at, she was the sweetest person i’ve ever met! Legend all the way!
I LOVE how they put the @ of the person they are discussing!!!! GREAT GREAT touch!!!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Delta has on the RuPaul ornament wig. But better of course
The loud music is an old sales trick. You simply crank up the music and make onlookers believe we’re having a party! You wouldn’t want to miss out?! What’s that over there? It adds a little mystery. Also some people will just spend more money rather than deliberate over a decision through yelling. They just pay the money. We did this at the dispensary in order to get customers hyped up to buy more. Or maybe there favorite song suddenly gets played and now they’re really ready to spend money. Hope this helps.
Walking around with a Doll head? I have no context, so WHAT IS HAPPENING?! 😂😂
Loving the production lately. I can't wait for your episode on bald and the beautiful!
it’s like every monday Delta takes me into this beautiful, enigmatic, ethereal world for one hour where i learn new things and i meet new people and i thank the universe for letting me be part of something so special and beautiful. Delta was always one of my favorite drag girlies from the show. back when i was like 13 (im almost 23 now) Delta has been with me for almost 10 years now and it just feels so right that she has this show now. i always knew she was more than what the show may have portrayed her to be (especially all of the emmy mess which we all know only makes us love and respect Delta more) i’m just so happy it’s working out for Delta. i cling to her every word i would follow her into hell. thank you Delta Girl. Our Executive Chairman of DeltaCo Incorporated.
Girl, play your music loud. Life is for living!
Two true queens! 👸 👑
Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
Love the Miss Guy reference- should have him on the show!
I saw Sherry open for Bianca a few months ago, and Sherry was INCREDIBLE.
This hair on delta ❤❤
Miss Delta, some of my neighbors have the sound up so high that literally, a picture fell off the wall.
Ms Sherry Vine is serving Victoria Gotti with this lewk! Loved this interview and to see a literal Legend grace the Very Delta cameras!
I bet Sherry went and smoked a cigarette SO FAST when Delta said “let’s take a break” 😂
The flowers are like the perfect marrying of both of their outfits.
such an awesome chill episode! thank you 🔸🔶❤❤❤🔶🔸
Love you, Sherry. ❤️ legend
Love this show
OMG I love Sherry Vine 🔶🔶🔸💜💜
I needed this today , I think we all did
Thank you, Delta. I can’t scream lunch conversation either.
Finally I meet THE Sherry Vine!!
So cool to hear the shout for Robbie Daniels 25:27, his album "The Fertile Boy" was a fave, wish I knew where I lost it.
That cauliflower pivot from glory holes killed me LOL
I LAUGHED THROUGH THE ENTIRE EPISODE! 😅😅😅
The luminous Sherry Vine ❤
Very Sherry Vine! A living legend! 😍🔶🔸
The restaurant chairs are hard/uncomfortable think Chipotle to cut the length of time you sit inside. The music is loud af because they call it "vibe" dining but a byproduct is a sore throat and a headache from yelling. There's music volume for ambiance and there's music to get you in and out or thinking about the next spot. Chili's is not that girl. I think someone just turned it up to irritate the patrons.
Please never endorse anything by Toddrick Hall again. We don't support scammers.
Orange diamond section changed my life
That’s why I love living in the middle of the forest with ZERO neighbours. I only have birds and trees around, no noise, can rest comfortably, can listen to a movie at any given time, it’s the best thing about “growing up” imo, peace and quiet.
And by the way, I’ve worked with marketers before, and loud music is usually something that pushes people away faster from a place. So restaurantes want higher profit turnover for the night, the faster you leave, the faster someone else will be seated.
Love delta !! ❤ she is the every woman 🎉😊
Sherry Vine. The very best.
Sherry Vine is really interesting and has great creative ideas. I enjoyed this a lot.
Sherry is an icon!
@SHERRY VINE, I totally relate to setting and checking cell phone alarms
Please bring more legends! I’d love to see a chat with Peaches Christ or Varla Jean Merman!
I had the honor of meeting Sherry Vine on my first and only trip to new york in 2010 as a friend of a friend i bumped into on the plane there was writing his phd on drag culture and introduced me to her. She was amazing!
Swapping out the show wig for the DSW had me dying 😂😂😂
Hi, they play fast tempo music and have it at a high volume so you eat fast and leave. I used to work in fast food and that was a thing done regularly. Its also been proved people eat faster with fast tempo music playing. Love and light sent, have a great week.
The movie cast analogy was brilliant
Delta for PRESIDENT!!
I'm a teacher so I see a lot of bad behavior lol. I think a big problem these days is that expectation of decorum are not enforced. Why didn't the ushers at the Broadway show make those people leave? They definitely would have 20 years ago. If those people on the parkway are being aggressive while passing park rangers, why aren't the rangers pulling them over? Why aren't people touching the queens at shows asked to leave?
We have always had bad apples and people who refuse to follow rules, we just used to see less of it because they received consequences for their behavior. In the classroom, we have to enforce expectations with consequences, otherwise the expectations are meaningless.
Love the show so much. I identify with sooo many of Delta's rants!
Sherry Vine, Jackie Beat, Coco Peru, Lady Bunny, Hedda Lettuce… the kinda legends that can’t be replaced. Absolute icons. Delta you’re in that list too obvs. 🩷
I never realized how much Alaska takes some of her voice cadence and aesthetic from Sherry Vine.
