Madonna rehearsed I'm So Stupid on the electric guitar (as seen in I'm Going To Tell You A Secret). It was replaced by Dress You Up, but Madonna had a hard time learning to play the song, so tour director Jamie King convinced Madonna to perform Material Girl instead, which became the final song of the military segment of the show just 4 weeks prior the tour kickoff.

This tour had the best opening. I love Madonna's tour openings, but I found this one creepy, haunting and beautiful. I love it.

I agree. I saw both this and the Confessions tour. The Confessions tour opening atmosphere was so palpable with anticipated excitement as she took longer than with most tours to appear on stage. You were able to hear everyone asking "do you see her?" No one expected the disco ball because she had made her entrance for the Girlie Tour sitting on one as it was lowered. So when it opened up and she was in there the excitement exploded it was almost orgasmic. Madonna even took a moment to acknowledge her audience by taking a sweeping look at us. Her smile was brilliant with her light. Then she commanded that stage like never before with the entire audience like kittens following a laser light which set the mood for the rest of the show. However, I have to confess (pun intended) I saw the show on a hot and humid night and the temperature was in the 90’s and she barely put the a/c on for that tour so no was up dancing. She literally stopped the music and chastised us. “Get up, dance! I’m up here working my ass off (which she slapped simultaneously) and no one is dancing or singing. I can’t believe you people! I may never come back to _______!” I yelled back “Look bitch! I'm not from here anyway. You want us to move then turn on the damn A/C. You could barely feel it before the show started.” She looked in my direction sideways but she ignored me, if she even heard me. Needless to say she never lowered the A/C but we all had to get up to dance because she was relentless. We were all agitated by the heat. LOL!
Can't wait for the early rehearsal of this tour to leak. The Power Of Goodbye, Love Profusion, Justify My Love, Nothing Really Matters and Bedtime Story/Skin medley were part of the setlist!

She sounds very good here. This exemplifies a 'problem' when she sings in front of an audience: she 'pushes ' her voice a little too much losing control of her pitch. Her tone is very pleasant here

I agree too. However, can you blame her since the moment her 1st album was released and everyone saw what she looked like then she could no longer sing. Prior to that point Madonna was the new R&B influenced black pop singer. Also, it isn't fair to compare her vocals from a rehearsal to some point in the tour. Rehearsal implies before the tour has actually kicked off. The grilling part hasn't started yet. Madonna normally has 3 legs on her tours so with every performance along with traveling the related stress builds up. l'm sure it is much less than earlier tours like Blonde Ambition where she almost damaged her vocals permanently. She still pushes herself in every aspect including her vocals exactly as you wrote. Madonna is really good and her use of her vocals in my opinion is genius because she has the type of voice that lends itself to most music genres. Many perceived more talented vocalists and they are better vocalists cannot do this so easily. Madonna is so under rated that it isn't funny but she for the most part doesn't give a shit. She has thanked her naysayers for pushing her when they all said she should not, could and not must continue. That's class and a true performer!

BUT correct me someone if im wrong, that does not sound like the RIT vouge ... and ive seen a few shows in different cities.. she sounds acutally like she just sung it for rehersal ..it sounds different to me i like it
