Last time I got to Park City only half the mountain was open. So I need to get back to Park City on a good snow day. Those tree runs remind me of some runs at Snowmass! (my current favorite)

Lucas is a fantastic skier. But these footages were also clearly sped up in the post processing to make it more impressive and cinematic. The change of speed won't look the same if it is at 1x speed. Still great skiing.

Impressed with bouncing back from the rough day, cruising to Mammoth, back to PC. Incredible amount of behind-the-scenes work driving, editing, charging batteries, moving footage, etc. etc. etc.

I like to ski trees as well but I go much, much, slower in order to "check snow conditions" while I am working on Ski Patrol at Brian Head.

I tried today and thought these aspen forests are not skiable. I made stops to look for a clear route then got stuck in knee deep snow. It's so impressive that you simply shoot through the little intervals. Wish someday I could reach that skill level!

Great video. Are you sure about the upside-down snowpack at 3:45, though? Snow Sense indicates that this happens when the weather during a storm starts out cold and gets warmer, not vice-versa. Page 44 of the revised edition.

gotta make a comment before i forget.. my widest skis are 100s and the issue that i am having is that i am used to skiing the straight skis.. the thing about the powder is that when i would sink in it the powder would slow me down.. now that i am floating on it i have to learn how to deal with that speed.. i do like how you scrub the speed..
that guy had some style.. and it has to be a challenge filming someone..
