If I had to make one small change I think it would have highlighted the theme much better It would have been better if they both had keys and there was a miscommunication of locking the house. So Nijo leaves early same time BaTadiwa goes to get fuel. BaTadiwa comes back and gets Gamu. Gamu doesn't lock the doors or gate and assumes Nijo is close by. After the birthday celebration BaTadiwa returns home and opens the door to see the house half empty. The furniture has stolen by robbers. Gamu calls out for Nijo, but there is silence. She calls Patrica but she doesn't answer. Nigel finally heads home. He sees BaTadiwa outside in his car (similar scene depicted in the video). BaTadiwa confronts him but Nijo is confused and struggles to explain where he was. He heads into and sees Gamu crying in the half-empty house. He realizes the blame is on him and there is nothing he can do to explain himself. Furthermore, he offers his present as salvation, but it is quickly dismissed as Gamu shatters the mug to the floor in anger. The episode ends with nigel asking for a blanket and eventually sleeping on the cold concrete with a heart filled with grief and regret. I felt this would have more effective becuase this could escalate BaTadiwa and Gamu's suspicion of Nijo based of his mischievous acts before.
