I always said this when I was little. When the flash would dodge projectiles I would assume if he got touched even once while he was going fast. The velocity of that object or person wouldn't change and he'd get seriously hurt.
When I was little, and I saw Spider-Man dodging all I thought was, if he stood still, and let them punch him they would break their hands. Because Spider-Man takes hits from people like the rhino and walks that shit off. Ain’t no way a normal human punch would hurt him.

That's true for speedsters at first. But specifically in DC, they can pull other people and objects into "Flash Time" and therefore actually slow them down.
That is actually the case in certain types of stories, even mainstream Flash has occasionally been hit with projectiles or even punches from things that are usually slower than him.
It seems like it does work that way unless he’s aware of and trying to move the bullet.
The fact that I understand the analogy of this is surprising.
Except in the analogy, he didn’t mention that the rate of energy transfer would be slower too. Instead of having the strength of a 25mph car in his fists, he now has the strength of a 1mph semi truck

@@wisemankugelmemicus1701 that is exactly what the analogy is? In the video, he says its “relativistic” which is absolutely true. Relative to Doc, the fist is moving extremely slow, but it has the same kinetic energy.
If hes moving at the “same speed over longer period of time” then the energy of his fist will transfer over a longer period of time as well.

Nope. Their science is wrong. He would absorb the impact at a fast rate. Making the punch meaningless...and slower.
@@garychief2338 depends. it;s sort of like when you breathe in helium or sulfur hexafloride vs the air, the density distortion changes the tone, but the energy and movement was still the same internally. the quantity of force associated with the Meta's movement is still the same, but the temporal dissonance causes the appearance to be slower, but should carry the same quantity of force once it is delivered to the regular timeframe. if anything, it could end up with more energy dumped in that single punch
@Bruda3 time acts as another dimension, which can speed up and slow down, as shown with the black holes colliding observation. But unlike a temporal distortion device, that was a result of gravity waves causing it to do that.

I really like that you use the gen 2 stuff for all the clips on the timeline. This feels more consistent considering the seasons in Halo 4 were the best

An updated rvb episode
When Caboose made the idea for the skit, he forgot that the rate of energy transfer would also be dispersed over a longer duration. To put it simply, imagine if the hammer of a hydraulic press were to start coming towards you. As long as you dont get crushed by it, the rate of energy transfer is low thus you wouldn’t get hurt.

Ok I'm late and a lot of people are arguing how time distortion yadayadayada. The main parts of a punch are force and velocity. In our case, since blue is in a faster time, the punch is relative to his time. The force will always be there, but the velocity is heavily decreased because the speed is decreased relatively. The part thst would send him flying is the energy of the punch transferring into him, kinda like a newtons cradle. Since this is a strong force applied slowly, it would basically act as a really strong press.

@@MrFiveHimself actually what Simmons said makes sense, and he also explained it in a way that everybody could understand. The Meta’s time distortion unit or it’s actual name “Temporal Distortion” armor enhancement originally belonged to agent Wyoming and is meant to with the help of A.I “Gamma” Aka “Gary” allow the user of it to manipulate little moments in time like going back in time, creating time loops and even slowing it down when needed. The armor enhancement was meant to slow down time and things around it externally and have Meta be faster then them because he’s still moving normally in time internally. but what Doc did is by messing with the armor enhancement, it seems like he made just like what Simmons says “some kind of inversion” which means upside down or opposite of something, so in this case it’s opposite so everything around Meta is moving faster while he is moving slower. But here’s the kicker it’s what Simmons says that’s important “we’re just viewing it from a faster time frame” which means Meta is factually moving slow in time, BUT theoretically and especially since the device was messed with and also shouldn’t be working this way, he should carry the EXACT SAME FORCE WITH HIS PUNCH. Meaning yes, he it makes total sense how he was able to deck Doc the way he did 😂 but I still get what you were trying to say to me though.
