Buddy this channel is an absolute joke. I thought for sure you had him in top 15 the whole time. But you missed Tyler Myers in total! He’s got a Calder, Crosby and McDavid don’t even have that!!!
Good list! I was ready to go to war... I've seen fans rate Makar over Orr... insanity! I wouldn't argue if Howe was above Crosby, but it would only be longevity. Dude played in the NHL at 50. And in addition to the pts, many of those years was considered one of the toughest/dirtiest in the league. The Top 3 is indisputable. Orr revolutionized the position and game.
Man I was just clowning you for saying he’s the most overrated player ever, think 5 is perfectly reasonable, can only see him overtaking Orr if he keeps up this pace and can find a way to hit 2nd all time in points.
@sword2872 Nah nah don't switch up now yall we're telling me that Orr was scoring from the red line so it was easy. You guys were also saying I'm not accepted in the Habs community. I dont care. I just know yall ain't accepted in the Hockey community LMAOO. I'm playing but I find it so funny.
Guy Lafleur was the most wonderful player to watch and had the most appropriate nickname in all of sports "The Flower"...Phil Esposito carried Team Canada in the Summit Series in 73 and if the Habs weren't so dominant he would have had more cups...I met Jagr, he sounded just like Frankenstein's monster...Larry Robinson actually once worked with my Dad and he said he was the strongest man he ever met and he should be in the top 15, only Orr was better at the position IMO...I feel so blessed to have watched Lemieux and Gretzky for their entire career and I don't think anyone can beat them, they took it to a different level...you're younger than I am so I get the Connor McDavid man crush and he's an elite player but he's not in Mario or Wankers' league. Cheers from Ottawa, Canada🍁
I LOVE Nick Lidstrom but having him at 4 is absolutely insane, no way, swap him and Howe and its a little more palatable. Gordie Howe is also eay too low, hes clear cut number 4.
Everyone cries about Marios injuries and says without that he would be #1. But everyone forgets that Gretz had a back injury so severe he almost retired in like 1990. He played a decade with a fucked up back and that's why he stopped shooting so much
I still think stevie Y was done dirty, he was competing for the hart while playing most of his career against Gretzky and lemieux, other than that i agree with the list but if ovi is going to move up before retiring then just stick him at 8 for now
I wonder if Bobby Hull would have made it, if he never went to the WHA / WHA never existed. He had 604 goals at age 33, so he likely finishes 3rd in goals all time ahead of Gordie in that other timeline. Also if you put in Hasek for that incredible 6 year peak, do you add Ken Dryden as well? Or players who had short but noteworthy careers, Orr makes it but Dryden doesn't? Sure, he's a bit of a nutjob and quit because winning was boring or whatever, but he's got to be the #2 goalie in skill. We're talking about greatest players, not players who played the longest. Dryden has almost as many shutouts as losses! Or is he getting punished for being on the best team ever assembled?
@@MikeBartner Right, but Orr was also on a severely loaded team (because Orr was on it lol) but it isn't like he was the only one there. If you replace Dryden with a random Chump Worsley, or better yet if BOSTON of all teams hadn't traded him to Montreal for 2 guys with no hockey-reference page, would he make it in then? Imagine that Boston team with Dryden there instead, and maybe they beat Philly. Random aside: Does any team even come close to the number of fantastic goalies that Montreal has had? I bet they lap the field. Anyway, I understand your reasoning, just making the comment that a stacked team is stacked because of the players on it and they all benefit from each other, that's all.
Richard not being top 10 is quite bad. First superstar (famous superstar, no disrespect to Morenz and others) he should 100% he ahead of lafleur and Esposito. Also Edit: No Doug Harvey?????
Wayne is the best goal scorer of all time not even close ovi might not even break his record and ovi already has over 1500 more shots than Wayne still less goals also Wayne was pass first guy if he wanted to he could have scored 1000 goals
Also I think Patrick Roy is a but overrated. I don't even think he's top 50 all time. I know stats aren't everything but he had worse career save percentage than Mike Smith. He also was surrounded by hall of fame players his whole career on Montreal and Colorado.
Roy dragged two Habs teams to the cup and revolutionised goaltending as we know it by perfecting the butterfly style. Some of his early stats don't seem as good but that's just because it was the 80s, and he was at one point the only goalie in the league with a save percentage above .900. I understand if he isn't the greatest goalie of all time but just for how much he changed the game while still being so good he deserves a high spot.
Agree a lot with your list, but you can not have such top 15 without players from the USA…. The third strongest country of Hockey history. And I’m from Mtl. P. Kane ou Leech would be my guy. I admit it’s hard to say who to drop…. Hasek…. Goalies deserve their own list…. and Roy is on top brother.
Guy Lafleur is overrated. Adjusting for era, he ranks 63rd in adjusted points. Lmao... having Jagr at 10th? When he left for the KHL for multiple years and still managed to be 2nd all time in scoring. Sad Also Hasek is top 5 all time
@@pipoj5 Average flyers fan IQ. Jagr has also played like 500 more games. Crosby has a higher points per game, has been better defensively, has had more team success, more awards and his prime was in a much lower scoring era than Jagrs prime. It’s really not a debate.
@@mcj44 you talk like Jaromir jagr playing insane amount of games is a bad thing when it just shows how good he is also his +/- is over 100 better than crosbys on top of having more goals and assist
@@pipoj5 You act like Crosby doesn’t have insane longevity. Guy just had 40 goals 94 points at age 36 while having a terrible powerplay. And again, Crosby points per game is much better. Also using +\- instantly invalidates your argument.
@@mcj44 jagr is 52 and still playing in a top tier hockey league and +/- is a good stat becouse its about both defence and offence when most stats are just about one of the two

Nick Lidstrom gets underrated, easily the 2nd best defenseman of all time imo
Doug Harvey might be better. He is easy third. Harvey also has 7 Norris trophy’s. Lindstrom clear 3rd although Harvey and him are close.
