Berman is my all timer. Loved NFL 2k3 and 2k5 because of him. NFL 2k3 made me a Jets Fan. It's been a painful 23 years or so since.

I would call him the "Tim Duncan of running backs" (minus the post season success) this phenomenal talent that did EVERYTHING well at his position, but just wasn't much of a media darling.

The main thing was his Vision. Dude had the vision to always find that hole. He was Barry Lite with moves but more physical...but his vision. It was the best in NFL History.

lou Nicks one of the most underrated players of all time in my opinion.. 3rd round pick out of pitt. He’s 4th or 5th all time in rushing yards 10 straight seasons with 1k+ rushing yards 2004 rushing leader... 90 TDs. He’s one of the top he’s easily a top 15 RB of all time. Could be argued he’s in the top 10 as well.

Yeah I'm a Giants fan, but i used to love to watch Martin every week with the Jets. He was a strange RB. He had insane lateral quickness and vision but would get hawked from behind a lot. I never seen a team run as many 3rd and long sprint draws and pick up the first down as much as the Jets used to with Martin. Dude was a workhorse.

Yeah, we is definitely an underrated player.
He was one of the best players in Jets history, one of the best running backs in NFL history, and one of the best human beings in general.
Besides being a talented player, he was (and still is) an incredibly kind and charitable person. I'm a die hard Jets fan, and I really wish we could find another player like him.

Came here trying to imagine Breece Hall making the same magic that #28 did
I think they have pretty similar running styles, he's got a ways to go to be as great as Martin but they weigh about the same and both have really good balance, vision and acceleration
    Lets go Jets :)

  • @justinlast2lastharder749

Curtis Martin was Barry Sanders pretty much. Barry had the better wiggle, but Martin had the vision. It allowed both to be OP Weapons. Curtis Martin is the older RB to win the rushing title. Retired 3rd All Time. Only him and Barry had 10 straight 1k rushing yard seasons. The Real 2 Running Back GOATS

Curtis my favorite HOF Martin! #28 Growing up this man overcame such a hard life off the field. But on the gridiron he was such a fluid and polished back.
#28 was so underrated for such a long time, but I remember once #28 C. Martin and #28 M. Faulk both switched to robot around the same time all that changed.
Notice how they were both no longer slept on after going robot. After that switch it was a little hard for me to tell them apart for a sec. but hands down it was ultimately the best decision they ever made in their careers!

Curtis Martin was always comparable to Fred Taylor in my eyes. I think Martin was a harder runner inside the tackles. I think Taylor was a couple steps faster. I also think if Fred never got hurt he would have finished around where Martin finished on the All Time rushing list.
    What were the Patriots thinking...

“Curtis ‘My favorite’ Mah-in” - Chris Berman.

    • @lawrenceehrbar8667
      @lawrenceehrbar8667 3 роки тому

Yeah, but thats how you can tell Chris' schtick was bush-league nonsense when you gotta sit thru ten minutes of his highlights on the same player. Nauseating. Even on any one of his regular nightly highlight shows I always felt it distracting. Always trying to make it about him. Stuff like he does is only entertaining when done once a year, at most. Good grief if you are a Yankee fan cuz you get John Sterling on radio and Michael Kay on tv. Both make it about themselves. Sterling calls EVERY homer "hi and far" and Kay, ridiculously speeds up what he saying sometimes to get in his "lets do it" proclamation on the game's first pitch. Glad I'm a Mets fan with the undisputed best announcer in Gary Cohen and partnered with the smartest and most embarrassingly honest ( in a good way) Keith Hernandez. What great conversations they have as well. Once, during a super long extra inning game Keith said his scorecard resembled an acid trip. Lol

Never, ever a better runner when stuck in a crowd. No blinding speed either but would bleed the defence all game long with 9 and 15 yard gains.
