“Curtis My Favorite Martin”- Chris Berman. This was one of my favorite sayings from Berman. Legendary
I loved it every time!
My favorite Berman quote is "BACK BACK BACK!!!"
@@andrewmarino5441Eric Sleeping with Bienemy or I got yo babe Steve Bono
Berman is my all timer. Loved NFL 2k3 and 2k5 because of him. NFL 2k3 made me a Jets Fan. It's been a painful 23 years or so since.
I would call him the "Tim Duncan of running backs" (minus the post season success) this phenomenal talent that did EVERYTHING well at his position, but just wasn't much of a media darling.
The main thing was his Vision. Dude had the vision to always find that hole. He was Barry Lite with moves but more physical...but his vision. It was the best in NFL History.
One of the most underrated RB's to ever play the game. I always liked watching him play.
This is what happens when you get a man that out works everybody! A great man on the field… A greater man off the field! You inspire me Mr. Curtis Martin!
Another underrated player. Great vision, cut back ability, decent speed, toughness, and one of Bill Parcells favorite players. Nice pick brotha.
lou Nicks one of the most underrated players of all time in my opinion.. 3rd round pick out of pitt. He’s 4th or 5th all time in rushing yards 10 straight seasons with 1k+ rushing yards 2004 rushing leader... 90 TDs. He’s one of the top he’s easily a top 15 RB of all time. Could be argued he’s in the top 10 as well.
Yeah I'm a Giants fan, but i used to love to watch Martin every week with the Jets. He was a strange RB. He had insane lateral quickness and vision but would get hawked from behind a lot. I never seen a team run as many 3rd and long sprint draws and pick up the first down as much as the Jets used to with Martin. Dude was a workhorse.
Yeah, we is definitely an underrated player.
He was one of the best players in Jets history, one of the best running backs in NFL history, and one of the best human beings in general.
Besides being a talented player, he was (and still is) an incredibly kind and charitable person. I'm a die hard Jets fan, and I really wish we could find another player like him.
@@Flowerz__ Definitely top 10
Well he is in the hall of fame so he can't be THAT underrated
The man, the myth, the legend.
2:30 Curtis's ability to stay on his feet is unreal
One of my favorite running backs of all time. As a Niners fan always had room in my heart for the Jets. I can’t stand the giants I hope to see you guys on top of the league soon again.
It’s coming !!
Best Curtis Martin highlight video on UA-cam
“It’s a touch down if it’s Vinny Testaverde” 😂 the ol phantom touchdown
Great videos man I love how you got all the old school nfl primetime highlights in there I would watch that all the time bruh can we get more old school 49er highlights
ok.....
@NIKO SAMUELS .....What it is man............shid everytime i see this christmas list i be like got dam........ :) but Marino and the Marks would be difficult for me to make but i can't say its impossible......but some of them im a make but i can't say when.....
Curtis Martin is my favorite player of all time, also Bremen and Tom Jackson were the best duo ever
That side step while running was so elusive
nice! Man you do highlights the best. No bullsh!t. Thank you! Barry the best.....Martin also great!
The jets O-line look like beasts
Their center was one nasty dude. And probably faster than Curtis as well.
Maybe we can see this kind of yardage from Breece Hall this year! What a joy it would be!
Curtis (my favorite) Martin
fax...
Curtis Martin made me a NYJ fan since 2005
Martin was a beast love him jets my team🙋♂️🤸♂️
Should be talked about with the all time greats. Disrespectful he's never mentioned in those conversations
LEGEND MY FAVORITE PLAYER
Just a straight football player
Been waiting for this!!
yeah man...... the footwork classic......
jeebs9 same lol you took the words outta my mouth
Underrated
Great video man! Could you do one for Bob Sanders?
forgotten legend
Interesting fact Curtis never said football was never his number one love..he did it as a job and boy did he do it well.. imagine if his heart was in the game.. Curtis My favorite Martian..
If you know, you know! What a great player
That one play was definitely a touchdown lol
Came here trying to imagine Breece Hall making the same magic that #28 did
I think they have pretty similar running styles, he's got a ways to go to be as great as Martin but they weigh about the same and both have really good balance, vision and acceleration
Lets go Jets :)
Curtis Martin was Barry Sanders pretty much. Barry had the better wiggle, but Martin had the vision. It allowed both to be OP Weapons. Curtis Martin is the older RB to win the rushing title. Retired 3rd All Time. Only him and Barry had 10 straight 1k rushing yard seasons. The Real 2 Running Back GOATS
Amazing video Jsn. U can literally see him age and slow down in the video. All time great for sure !!
Curtis my favorite HOF Martin! #28 Growing up this man overcame such a hard life off the field. But on the gridiron he was such a fluid and polished back.
#28 was so underrated for such a long time, but I remember once #28 C. Martin and #28 M. Faulk both switched to robot around the same time all that changed.
Notice how they were both no longer slept on after going robot. After that switch it was a little hard for me to tell them apart for a sec. but hands down it was ultimately the best decision they ever made in their careers!
beast!!!!!!!!
thats my blood cousin...went to almsot every game, hes the reason i seen bradys first game...
Just watched a video where LeVeon Bell and Curtis Martin are talking football and playing Chess together.....I came here after that to get my Curtis Martin Fix....I miss this dude!
1:35 was definitely a touch down 😂
Curtis Martin was always comparable to Fred Taylor in my eyes. I think Martin was a harder runner inside the tackles. I think Taylor was a couple steps faster. I also think if Fred never got hurt he would have finished around where Martin finished on the All Time rushing list.
What were the Patriots thinking...
Fuckin loved this guy
Back when ESPN used to be great. And Berman was the main attraction.
“Curtis ‘My favorite’ Mah-in” - Chris Berman.
Yeah, but thats how you can tell Chris' schtick was bush-league nonsense when you gotta sit thru ten minutes of his highlights on the same player. Nauseating. Even on any one of his regular nightly highlight shows I always felt it distracting. Always trying to make it about him. Stuff like he does is only entertaining when done once a year, at most. Good grief if you are a Yankee fan cuz you get John Sterling on radio and Michael Kay on tv. Both make it about themselves. Sterling calls EVERY homer "hi and far" and Kay, ridiculously speeds up what he saying sometimes to get in his "lets do it" proclamation on the game's first pitch. Glad I'm a Mets fan with the undisputed best announcer in Gary Cohen and partnered with the smartest and most embarrassingly honest ( in a good way) Keith Hernandez. What great conversations they have as well. Once, during a super long extra inning game Keith said his scorecard resembled an acid trip. Lol
Never, ever a better runner when stuck in a crowd. No blinding speed either but would bleed the defence all game long with 9 and 15 yard gains.
Jets just aren't a running team- for what Martin did on teams and schemes not built for a back is really impressive
I didn't know his middle name was " "my favorite" how interesting
Reminds me of Emmit Smith running
When ever I see old highlights on astroturf
Ouch
New field turf is so much softer
Had no holes in his seasons either he never missed games in that physical ass era
J-E-T-S jets jets jets
Da O-LIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNE
Can you do roy williams or willis mcgahee
I was just looking at his stats and I’m wondering why isn’t his name ever brought up at all in best ever running back. I mean damn his first 10 yrs was well over 1000 yds, and he was doing this on the jet’s mostly
He was just overshadowed by a few even more legendary players at the time...yeah, not that all of them were better than him lol you're correct good sir. Think other NBA superstars in the MJ 90s lol. Not the same thing at all, but that's how I wrap my head around it.
Do Keyshawn Johnson and mushin Muhammad
ok.....
@@JsnHighlights1316 Tony G or Gates soon ?
ok.......
Bell is going to be even better for hi second team like Martin
Where did he go to college?
Pittsburgh
@@danilocarvalho5711like Tony Dorsette
C. Martin career highlight is a 4 yard run. Miss that guy.
THE REAL NFL when WOMEN HATED FOOTBALL 😏
Back when ESPN was worth watching! 😢
And to to think Curtis confessed that he hated football?
And Curtis hated the game of football. So strange.
giants rivalry jets
patriots rivalry jets
darren woodson
I think pitt
Only problem w curtis career was he didn't play for the patriots for longer
Yeah, as a Jets fan I dont even remember how the Jets landed him. What a gift. We could sure use him now.
Those Jet uniforms are so ugly
