Hey! Something i learned last night. In "Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness," there is a move called "Shadow Mist." It's also called "Dark Mist" in Japanese. See there? More Yugioh in Pokemon before Yugioh used them. Lol I am a Yugioh nerd too. Its in my name. ^^
I've had a idea for a nuzlock where you can only use pokemon that have died I previous nuzlocks, it would mean going back through your old nuzlocks and list each pokemon that died but a revengelock would be cool in my opinion
Raboot's design is a pretty stereotypical angsty brit teen football player crossed with a rabbit lmao it's a pretty bad idea that got executed pretty well
Love the content dude, as a business owner now I don't have time for games anymore, but a 30 min video from the meatball always scratches my itch. Thanks bro.
I wonder if restricting TRs/TMs to non-set up moves would be enough or if you have to restrict it even further. It might be more exciting to watch than just using moves like sword dance and substitute. I know some Poketubers have limited this way too. Thanks for suffering through SWSH!
Probably a bug with an emulator, atleast that's why I'm assuming it happened. The reasoning because at 4:56 there are 222 of every TR in the game (There's one missing from Psychic because it was used on Mr. Mime). Which you can either use a save editor to add them in for emulators, or find someone hosting modded raid dens (but don't do that because you might get banned).
How would you feel about doing a blind Nuzlocke of scarlet/violet? Any pokemon allowed (maybe one heal per battle), grinding allowed but you can't read any guides or anything. You could even pace it out to 2-3 episodes. It would be a very unique challenge that no one else could really repeat.
I believe my first monotype nuzlocke of the game will be blind. Usually documentation isn't out by the time I get these games in hand so both the first nuzlockes of BDSP and PLA were blind, and it'll be the same with SC/VI.
@@ChaoticMeatballTV a mono type run, eh? I though of doing the same thing which is why I have a level 5 Swablu, Gible, Dratini, Trapinch, Bagon and Horsea sitting in a box in home ready for Sc/Vi with a few others incase any of those 6 aren't In the game. Purely because I love the dragon typing so much.
Hmmm I thought of a really interesting idea what if you or anyone you know would do something along the lines of Fossil Pokémon only. This could be a lot of Pokémon if you allowed yourself to get certain Pokémon from different regions and with the galar fossils being the newest and most interesting ones I’d like to see how you would be able to beat the game only with them.
"Gah, almost deathless!" Yeah, almost deathless but you know the law of Murphy - anything that can go wrong will, and when you need a burn to hit, it NEVER DOES. ;p Still that's probably your cleanest HCN yet, showing how easy these games are due to having the best moves quickly. Sure you need to grab a bunch of Watts but Isle of Armor can provide. ^_^ Can't wait to see you putting up challenge videos for Scarlet and Violet when those come out! :D
I’ll be honest mate the substitute and set up moves does the video a disservice for me personally, it feels rushed especially when it’s an already easy vanilla game like sword/shield, reminds me of a water nuzlocke I watched and the entire video was a dragon dance gyrados sweep, my favourite part of nuzlockes is that it forces you to use pokemon you’d never use like seeing someone use a goldeen effectively, I think that’s why Pchal is so enjoyable because there’s collateral in every battle because he doesn’t set up so has to utilise every pokemon he has, just some feedback mate appreciate the videos
Your Yu-Gi-Oh! Speak really took me by surprise! But yeah adventure is unfortunately a necessary evil for loads of decks. Aleister players just love playing with their brains off XD
thought I'd share a funny story: me in the galar mine 2: ooh a pokeball does it have an item? *encounter* oh its a galarian stunfisk... *runs away* me 2 seconds later: hmm this one might be an item- oh no its another stunfisk. but how can I know for sure its always stunfisk? me on my 3rd encounter: yes they're all stunfisks I'm going to stop trying
Fun video, and nice idea for a challenge, I want to try it now. This guy really doesn't like pokemon games though XD These games always have storylines bro, sorry to break it to ya
I feel like your not using a full team of 6 right from the Wild Area in an attempt to preserve some semblance of balance seems undermined a bit by your usage of Mr Mime, who's honestly way, way stronger than most stuff you're gonna find that early in the game Also, yeah, I think that limiting your usage of TRs would definitely make runs more challenging and, by extension, more interesting. I also feel that way about using exploits like the system clock change, or bugs like the duplication glitch in BDSP
Watching these SW/SH challenges sometimes it just feels like Leon could be one of the hardest battles in the series but he decides to randomly throw for content. Sometimes he decides to not use any of his Full Restores at all. Other times he decides to use terrible moves for no apparent reason. I'm 99% sure G-Max Wildfire would have killed Rapidash (likely even without the residual damage) and he just ignored that to... set up a Sandstorm? That's almost on the level of Raihan changing the weather every single time one of his Mons is KO'd.
Would it be possible for you to add in the shinies you find grinding? Idk if you just don't find them or don't put them in but I think it'd be pretty cool just to see a shiny here and there. Besides that great video as always, I'll watch the second part shortly.
He’s too smart for a game that’s had an over 20 year lineage. He knows all the story and can hear it in super speed. I certainly will not be subscribing or watching any more content. And I most definitely have my Pokémon credentials since literally day 1 in the u.s.
How about doing a hardcore nuzlock with a weather effect on at all times, so you switch a starter for something that can have sandstream or drought as an ability then build your team around that
AFAIK, the only Pokemon he can get early that can set up the weather is either Snover or Torkoal ( if said nuzlocke includes Isle of Armor). Another possibility is Wingull but it needs to be a Pelipper with Drizzle.
it might be cool to do a fire red rocket edition challenge where you only use pokemon you catch (once you're able to). money is really hard to come by in that game so it'd probably be pretty difficult especially early
I'd love to see you do a pokemon uranium prof oak challenge, it's my favorite fangame I'd also think you'd enjoy pokemon insurgence and pokemon infinity
Can you do Pokémon Sword & shield with only Pokémon that received special treatment? (Mega evolution, regional forms, regional evolution and gigantamax)

@@ChaoticMeatballTV dogmatika is fairly new and shaddoll is ancient, when ai heard of the deck combination I was so confused because it kinda reminds me of another old deck called HAT (Hands, artifact, traptrix) where it was just a mesh of 3 archtypes. There are nine encounters I think the playthrough was going to be better if you catched a galarian zizagoon at the start and a Pokemon after each gym(but you can do whatever you wish it's your nozlock)
This was essentially what I did, I added a single member to the team each gym, with Meowth being the exception due to being available on Route 4 before the first gym, so one from the Wild Area made the team have 3 members at that point.

Yeah
It makes the battles trivial
Nuzlocke rules are useless when you set up a sub, click SD 3 times and one shot everything
Very boring
The competing challenges is a really cool idea, but I'd also love to see a pvp fight between the two teams after the challenges are finished!
