- Hello Everyone! Thank you for stopping by to watch my latest video! I sincerely hope you find joy in it and wish you a truly blessed day ahead! Peace. Love. Light.
Your Vintage Queen,
Charlene
In my journey through music's vast landscape, I ventured into uncharted territory with 2Pac's "Dear Mama" - marking my very first encounter with Tupac's work and, frankly, hip-hop as a whole. Admittedly skeptical due to my limited exposure to the genre, I was profoundly moved by the rawness and authenticity that 2Pac brought to this heartfelt tribute. As a mother, the depth of emotion and respect woven through the lyrics struck a chord with me, offering a new perspective on the power and poignancy hip-hop can convey. "Dear Mama" didn't just open my eyes to Tupac's genius; it bridged a gap I never knew existed, connecting me to the realness of motherhood and struggle through the rhythm of rap.

Dear Mama is in the Library of Congress for a reason.
i didnt know that. It deserves to be there
29 years later......that song still gets the tears flowing
Me too.
So true 😢
Tupac is the only rapper who you could play some of his records to someone who hates rap music and they would like them. Dear Mama, Brenda’s got a baby, Keep your Head up, Changes & Unconditional Love transcend race, generations & class. RIP Mr Shakur
Not really there is Eminem mocking bird
These are all fantastic recommendations!
@@user-tc9uk8pr3bthat’s one song
That's a bit ignorant, hip-hop is such a varied genre. Do you like jazz? You might like A tribe called quest or the Roots, do you like metal? You might like jpeg Mafia or Cannibal Ox. Do you like RnB? You might like Smino or Lauryn Hill. Do you like poetry? You might like Andre 3000 or Atmosphere or Kendrick.
Hell, do you like raunchy country music? Because you might just like Bubba Sparxxx.
The one thing you don't do to get someone into the genre is say "this is the goat, the bar for bar Messiah, if you don't like this guy, budster, you're just never gonna get it, don't even bother".
@@goose0078 That seemed like an unnecessarily childish and defensive response.
Tupac is without a doubt the greatest hip hop artist of all time !
that's just not true
@@hud1231 in my opinion he is .. there’s no objective truth to who is lol
@@JonathanGonzalez-jz4td he's very good for then. best all time? nah

i lost my mom 3 years ago, i cant listen to this song without tearing up. such a beautiful song
Same I lost mine February 12,2022 and it still feels like it just happened 😢😢😢 stay strong 💪
I would recommend 2pac- Keep ya head up as the next track
Thank you. I will definitely get to that this week.
I spoke at my mother funeral & I used some of 2pacs words. Because now as grown men we known."Its hard for a woman tryn to raise a man, U was single mother on welfare tell me how u did it, Momma made miracles happen every Thanksgiving"....
♥️
Everybody talks about the negative music he did but not the positive and you have to have the bad with the good and again I feel they are both amazing when you truly listen
Man, I miss this genius. He made us proud in the west when I was a kid growing up.
People think 2pac is rapper, so wrong. He is an artist. This song and many others proves it.
no he was a rapper and an artist and he was proud of both
@@MoonGirls0 Would you consider this song as rap/hip hop?
Pac was a prophet
For beginners to Tupac, I also recommend:
Changes
I Ain’t Mad Atcha
Keep Your Head Up
Brenda’s Got A Baby
California Love
To Live And Die in L.A.
I hope you come to appreciate this remarkable artist and human being too ❤
He was imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit so he wasn’t able to be in this video💔

Classic Pac
WISE BEYOND HIS YEARS!!!
Listened to this song hundreds of times over the years, it never fails to choke me up..
Such a loss he died only 1 year later, 26 was too young :(
I know people know Tupac as a rapper but he is truly an artist…rapping was a way out, stepping stone, he started acting wrote a poetry book and wanted to get into politics
R.I.P To A Great Rapper 2Pac, Still Miss You Always 😢

They say you don't 'listen' to Tupac's rap songs, you 'feel' them! ❤ #HappyMothersDay
RIP 2Pac
Tupac is a talent like no other. Truly a artist ahead of his time. Legendary.
First time watching your channel and i must say I love your eyes, your smile, and your energy. Yes. 2pac was a really gifted and his legacy is and will always be alive. He wrote this song while being incarcerated in 95 I believe and this song has a tremendous impact on me.... ...watching your reaction now I was in tears.

I'M A 57 YEAR OLD MAN OF COLOR. WAS NOT HEAVY ON HIS MUSIC, BUT THE ONES I LIKE HE LAYED IT DOWN. WHITE MAN WORLD. LISTEN TO THAT!!! BOY!!!!
this is rap. You've understood. the transmission of feelings based on a story in verse playing on a basis so that it reaches people by rhythm. The
message is the key, rhythm is the hook, culture is unique.
Im from the mid 80s and i tell you we missed him so much
Moms really are the best
Shock G said the riff/note at the end of every 16(bars) that Pac rapped was purposely placed there because it melodically sounded like crying/tears.
Great video and reaction...2 Pac was not just an ordinary rapper like many, he was very raw and poetic with a revolutionary mind, mostly because his mom was a black panther and was married to a panther. That was his real mom at the beginning of the song, She was facing a 100 plus year in jail while pregnant with 2 Pac and was acquitted a month before Pac was born as she says...She actually beat the case by defending herself...You might want to check out songs like
1. 2 Pac - Brenda's got a baby(music video)
2. 2 Pac - So Many Tears
3. 2 Pac - Keep Your Head up
Thank you! I will check these out.
I grew up in the 90s so I’ve heard this song probably a thousand times or more but I still found myself tearing up watching/listening to this just now, despite now being a 46 year old man.
Tupac the best!
An all time classic!
Im soo glad u reacted to Tupac he was the Rap King 👑 thanx for giving him his credit for this song a powerful heart felt song 😊 thanx Beautiful Queen 👑♥️ love ur reaction 😊
Exactly at 1:14 I know you felt that lyric, pac was such a great poet that he can make you feel touched through his music

2Pac - Can You Get Away, that song is about Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes of TLC and Heaven Ain't Hard To Find
He is undeniable the greatest rapper of ALL TIME!
I knew you would love it. Thanks again.
I was well into my 30's when 2Pac became known; so, I didn't share that generation's knowledge of this artist. However, I was, (and am) aware of his impact and importance. The true tragedy is: 2Pac wasn't able to keep himself alive long enough for the kind of life-altering personal transformation to find him.
I have no doubt that--if he HAD lived?!?...we may have very well seen a Senator Tupac Shakur; or something similarly transformative happen in my lifetime.
It's not at all hard for me to imagine.
After all: look at what happened when that change washed over Malcolm Little--after the turbulent storm of his life; transforming him into Malcolm X.
It's not at all hard to imagine. But that unrealized possibility of "what if"--is where the real tragedy of 2Pac lies.
You have the head moments on point.
I feel the same way about my mama❤
Love this song...thanks for sharing...❤❤❤
New subbie. Really enjoyed your reaction. I love Tupac’s music.
Thank you sooo much!!
Cool to come across your channel because I love Tupac and this is such a classic song. He was such a young man but left us so many heart felt gems for any generations to come across!
Great reaction !

I love that Song. My #1 favorite from 2Pac. Really like your reaction.
Thank you for reacting to this.. im sure it might not be song you would listen to.. br thanks
Just subbed from Your Hi Ren reaction and then looked at your past vids! This was one of my favorites in high school! Love you did this! Big props! ❤ But "Changes" is the grratest song 2Pac ever did! React to "Changes"! You won't regret it! ❤
Tupac will live FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS….GONE WAY TO SOON!!! ❤️🙏❤️
Awww you’re so sweet and most of all empathetic. Lack of empathy and inability to see the world thru others’ eyes is the sole reason why we are doomed as a society.
The person he knew as his father died when he was five. He didn’t know his real father was who he was til he was 23 and he saw him in the hospital right after (Tupac) got shot 5 times .
My favorite song of 2pac is dopefiend's diner. It speaks very much to the events he took part in and the way he viewed them as extraordinary, when everyone else seemed used to them.
2pac keep ya head up
Your reaction, when you don't even listen to Rap, gives me faith in humanity. Music is universal. I'm so very happy to have randomly come across your channel.
Sidenote: The "Hard stuff" is maybe 5% of all of hiphop. It just happens to get the most radio play and coverage.
I recommend Keep Ya Head Up and Who Do You Believe In... Beautifully written and produced
Suggestion: 2Pac - Unconditional Love.
This song is a complete masterpiece and released after he passed away. He actually recorded it for his album and then gave it to MC Hammer to help him have a good single for his album. However when Pac passed, they decided to put it on his Greatest Hits album. To me its one of his best written songs besides Dear Mama. He raps about feeling like a burden on his mother and how he wants his music to reach and inspire the youth. He also mentions how he wont get to see all the fruits of his labor. Its basically a message where he knows he doesnt have much time left. I rank it as his best song ever recorded behind Dear Mama. My personal favorite because it shows that he was more than just a thug rapper and actually wanted to use his music as a vehicle to connect to the oppressed.
you is sooooo awesome
"Papa'z Song", "I ain't mad at cha", and "Thugz Mansion" , are few more songs with 2Pac's emotions on his sleeve. The video for the 2nd one is a little surreal. The 3rd one has 2 versions, one with Nas one without, both are worth a listen, the video for the one with Nas tells a separate story from the song.
It's almost scary how much he talked about his own death in his music, like he knew it was coming. I think getting shot a couple of years earlier had affected him more than anyone realized.
Tupac is a true legend! Loved the reaction! You should also try Harry Mack Omegle Bars 45. Its very positive and very lyrical.
Great Reaction Sweetheart
Respect woman from new Zealand for going outside your comfort zone
Always powerful to listen to Pac's poetry!....please do a reaction to Ice Cube's No Country for young men...

Tupac - Changes

111-112 back when lyrics mattered in rap
Life is funny, when this song first came out many "individuals" ostracized this type of music due to it's so Calle negativity. Now it is praised.........by the same "individuals"......Hilarious. I love this song and many others from different genre from day one because of the message not who composed or sung it.
I dont know about any other ethnicity but trust me as a black man whos 55yr old this is played to death on mothers day its like the official mothers day song especially if your mother is no longer alive like mines 😔
Hey I’m 1 of your top 5 people you should listen to for HIPHOP😂😂

A disturbing fact about the song. Afeni lied to Tupac about his father being dead. His father's name is William Garland. He met his father while in the hospital after the first time he was shot in 1994.
hey its ok that you got choked up, i woulf be worried if you didnt!!!! cant ever lissen to this tune and not shed a tear!
A lot of HipHop is really good, it's not just about thugs and drugs and killing, you'd want to go to the underground scene
* Tupac ft. Elton John - Ghetto Gospel
* Tupac ft. Talent - Changes
(Both songs were recorded before by 2pac, but released after his death)
Awesome suggestions. Thank you!
You should react to 2pac part time mother and words of wisdom
If you have not done so yet, please review the music video, Gangsta’s Paradise.
i got excited when she said she never got hip to Pac, cause rap became too aggressive for her during his era 💯 cause i knew she was about to hear something she didnt expect, but would definitely appreciate
