What version on c4d are you using? In my old R17, applying Surface deformer just makes those splines super messy. No matter how I model it, it is always all wrong :P

Hi. I know this is quite old, but can work for me. Question. Can the hairs follow the deformations on the splines, like bending (for animation purpouses)? I achieved the result, but changing the splines doesn't affect the hairs. Thank you.

i followed your instructions and everything works great except one problem - when i render, the hair is following the shape of the original plane, not the smooth, subdivided shape. and increasing the segments in either guides or hairs has no effect. thank you.

FIXED IT - In case anyone has this problem: Standard Renderer is the issue. Switch to Physical and the hair gets smooth.
