When she said what’s a wolf girl, I really thought this was gonna be omegaverse
The issue is more with the girl than with the guy (in my opinion ). The guy knows he's a sadist and knows he's mean. This girl just takes up every insult, every demeaning stuff and it made me sick (i feel so bad for her) ....I also hate the MC. He is emotionally abusive and I kept hoping he would have the paradigm shift that would make him better but it took too long.

True as a teen ive read the manga fully and I remember i really liked it a lot and didnt see any problem. Now looking back at it I was so irritated by the guy on what she did to erika specially the chocolate one. What infuriate me more is how pathetic she is and she just tolerated him. There aint even a part where you couldve fall for him. Its really problematic. I lost it when in the manga she gained weight and she cried and begged the dude to stay with him and she'll lose weight to be a girl worthy by her side.
This is basically "red pilled" redditor misogynist meets a pickme. The most cringe combination there is. He's negging her all the time, poor girl too deep in lies and copying toxic expectations around her. This doesn't seem genuine love at all, just them going along with the brainwashing they did on themselves on how to act, like a spectacle for others, not each other. Sadly there exists people like them, not in actual partnerships but filling out placeholder of expectations, being in toxic, unfulfilling cohabitations for the sake of it.
Kyouya is a jerk! Not only he laugh at Erika and insult her when she share her feelings BUT he makes her do his homeworks and buy meals when he could od it himself; Kyouya is not poor. Also, this horrible guy buy a necklace for her and said something like '' This proove you belong to me! '' That's so creepy 😨I don't care if he had a sad past, this is not a reason to treat Erika like an object or a toy. If this jerk was like Usui Takumi from Maid-sama, i would find him charming. The heroine deserved a better boyfriend than him!
I searched anime that’s similar and good to watch if I liked Kamisama Kiss and got this 💀

now thinking about it, i think it's kinda sad how much the anime could have actually done in terms of character development. like these two (aside from all the other characters) are so incredibly flawed, which is kinda understandable since they are literally like 15/16 or smth but idk maybe it could have been this kinda situation where these two recognize one another's bad habits and push for change or are completely unfiltered with the other person since they have such a weird relationship to begin with, there would be no point in holding back criticism or sugar-coat anything

True if the girl wouldnt tolerate her. Ive read the manga again and theres no development really. You cant even feel that they are couples. He's very inconsiderate while the erika is pathetic and setting herself aside alwys. Fr theres no charac development.
I remember liking the anime for the ending theme. Erika was not the best main character, she was cringe. she has a friend but she wants fake friends then you have Kyouya who is toxic.
It’s so funny because the reason I found out this anime existed is because I stumbled across the ed song and thought it was a banger 😭 little did I know that the show associated with it would be… 😟 The whole show is like a burning car wreck but I can’t stop watching- It’s cringe, toxic, but also kinda funny bc of how down-bad it can get LMAO 💀 *Side note if you want a cute romance manga rec I highly recommend Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku (The fragrant flower blooms with dignity) it’s oddly refreshing and will literally give you diabetes 💕

I liked more the rent a girlfriend protagonist whit all his mistakes is more relatable and funny
I tried to read the manga a while ago but I just couldn't get through the cringe. So much second hand embarrassment, I had to walk away from my computer too often

As someone who has read the entire manga and knows what leads to the epilogue of them getting married and having a child...
Well it's not great they both do have some character development. Farther in Erica does find stuff and hobbies that she likes because she picked them and it does eventually drive her into where he wants to go for university completely independent of Kyoya. Unfortunately that same development has made killia very attached to Erica to where he does not like the idea of her going somewhere farther from him for University and gives her the ultimatum of either breaking up to go to her dream college or staying with him.
And of course this upsets her greatly and when she's talking about it with San-chan, because she does eventually patch up her friendship with them and they do become very good friends. San-chan actually gets super pissed for Erica. And actually goes over to kyoya's house and slaps him. And talks about how his attitude towards Erica wanting to do something and dependence of him and completely on her own is ugly and that he does not treat Erica right and that if he wants to keep her in his life in any capacity he has to man the fuck up essentially.
Well shit. Kyoya is such a loser for giving her an ultimatum, I would've been so much harsher in this review if I knew this.
@@Meowtavern the only redeeming outcome is that right as Erica was about to give up her dream (because in the midst of this relationship drama her own mom wasn't completely supportive of her trying to put in the effort to make mature choices for herself) and write down a local uni, kyoya does intervene and tell her to do what she made her happy and they'd make it work.
i really wanted to watch this, it looks very entertaining, also would you maybe review romantic killer? its one of my fave animes and i'd like to see your thoughts on it
