- In this video, Echo Sound Works goes over the new synth/reaktor ensemble from Native Instruments "Form".
This is a great first look video that will show you how to use the synth within minutes as well as a good look at some of the presets.

Hey, thanks for this video. Was very helpful. I just got stuck at the presets. When I try to open one, it says 'no valid reference to ensemble in preset data'. All the presets Form comes with tells me this... Do you know whats going on?

When I open it in Acid Pro, the Macro Controls are not visible. All the documentation seems to say that it is just visible all the time, no way to toggle it or anything, so I guess there's nothing I can do about it??? Is this a known issue with Acid Pro, obviously not the most popular DAW, but which seems to handle everything else in Komplete Ultimate without a problem?

why isnt my midi keyboard working with Form? i hear nothing when i hit my keyboard notes but when i hit buttons on my mac i hear the sample? ive adjusted my audio and midi settings to recognize my midi Keyboard, interface and other things on FORM but i still hear nothing when i hit my keyboard. WTH am i doing wrong? everythings hooked up😬

Yes. Put "Reaktor 6" in your Groups plugin area. Then open Form ensemble in Reaktor 6.
Sounds great and very informative. I don't know why though, but my preset for Virtual Punch sounds different than yours by quite a bit...
How can I assign the knobs on my MIDI keyboard for the MIDI learn function?

Hey! I don’t think there’s any special way of doing it in logic. It’s all housed in Reaktor. So you if you save anything as a snap shot or ensemble it should be saved in the default location as set by reaktor

Form is a granular synth, serum is wavetable based. Form is a little more simpler in its filters and other features
Does anyone know where to load the Form manual if it exists at all? I have installed it but I found only Reaktor 6 manuals. All my google searches were unsuccessful. I can't find the manual on the form product page nor in my NI's account download page.
it should be on your pc/mac already look op NI content/ Form / Documentation :) or try doing a search for "FORM Manual English.pdf" it should come up but if it doesn't I dont mind emailing it to you :)

I bought it and I can not step through the presets. NI ever sounds well, but the usability is always crappy.
The shaper probably works better on sine waves. Also, slow down.

You will drop samples into it, after five hours of clicking on every button, resetting your audio ins and outs and watching every UA-cam video, A little line goes back and forth and never will you hear a sound.
Would importing Serum wavetables into Form work?
I haven't tried but It would work on some level!

I had difficulty following the narration, sounds like someone with way too much "coffee" having a conversation going down stairs in an erratic meter. slow down and enunciate.
He is saying transformator in german which translates as transformer
