You may be able to save some time if you get the electrical diagrams. The numbers on the wires are identified on the diagrams. Even if you do not have the diagrams, you can use the numbers to follow the wires from end to end.
I have that same model of thomas 2021 flat front 5.9. I just got done running all new electrical to the back. How did you get the wall panel behind the seat out? Mine goes under the switch panel.
Are you referring to the aluminum sheet metal along the sides of the inside of the bus? Mines an 04 so we may have different internal set ups from the factory.
@@Escapademade yup, the textured stuff under the windows. One side was easy, the other side looks like I will need to take the seat and to switch console out
@@FirinBBs oh I see what you’re saying. Yeah. The seat was in the way. But it wasn’t hard to just unbolt the seat temporarily and go in to remove the sheet metal. If you can’t do that then get metal shears (basically big metal scissors) and cut it out manually.
@@Escapademade I appreciate it. As far as the wiring, my bus has a diagram on the inside of the door that was very accurate. It made it easy to remove a ton of outdated wiring
If you are still tracing down wires you should get a wire toner. It really helps with tracing down wires when you have a ton of wires running everywhere. Amazon… wire toner and tracer. It puts a little voltage from a battery into the wire and then you use the voltage detector to find the wire with the voltage on it.

Tip: don't throw all that wire away yet, you can reuse much of it for the rest of your build. Different colors of 18ga - 12ga wire, the length of your bus, comes in handy.
Just fyi for anyone thinking about doing this, do your research i have seen someone do this and say with all the work it took, it was not even worth it, just to leave it be. but again look around & see what is said.
Yeah I was very skeptical on doing this at first. Ultimately I wanted to know what wires went to what. I’m glad I did it but also definitely do your research. It’s not worth it to mess up your bus.

Good call. What’s a wire toner though?

Good call Chris. I haven’t thrown it away yet. I’ll group it up and save it
Good caravan❤

That is a rat nest of wiring.
