Examining the nature of the beast.
Hummingbirds are so common in south america that I forget that they aren't common world-wide
Here in Brazil we found them easily in cities, one of the most welcomed visitors that we can get
We call them flower-kisser
I can't imagine, as hummingbirds are the definition of "exotic" bird in Germany... Ever since some parrots escaped a local zoo and founded a noisy colony in an urban park.
I know, I live in Mexico and even in cold-ish climates you get them from time to time at your home. I feel like a lot of people in latin america don't value enough the wildlife we have :( (like the recent condor incidents)
@@SunsetTwist And the fact that we use them for medicine or hide.
@@SunsetTwist we dont value it at all, its pretty sad
@@fionafiona1146 this is another thing
One park in the middle of São Paulo near my home has wilds parrots appearing periodically on here
Also that park had a bunch of marmosets recently, is weird thinking about those expectations
Wow that quetzal was unbelievably beautiful 😍
They are more common in Guatemala. It is the national bird their, and their currency is named for them.
They are one if my favorite birds and soooo cute
@@thegoodfight4874😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I can’t look at a toucan without thinking about what their skeletons look like!
Have you ever seen the book, the Unfeathered Bird? The skeletons are really weird.
Google can show you.
I hope we see more like this! Simply fulfilling to watch and oh so captivating, what beautiful jungle!
I feel spoiled with the level of artistry in this one.
I have to say I consider your show art bios alone fantastic, now traveling to unique places! 5 STARS no joke! Best show about wildlife on UA-cam.
This is an awesome video, with tons of enthusiasm.
Joke's on them, adulthood is the true battle of the bills.
Lmfao. That is truly the funniest pun overall.
haha, nice!!
Ah, toucans. Perfectly adapted for eating Froot-Loops.
Ah yes, the beauty of nature is inspiring
I once saw a documentary where a toucan sniffed out some frog loops from over 6 miles away
Except this one steals the food. Not just the bunny.
And weaver bird eggs
Eggs too
I can't say enough about it, the shots of the birds were spectacular!
"if a hummingbird went without food for few hours, they would die"
I think I found my spirit animal...
The image quality is on point!! 😍
Congratulations for your national holiday on 15th September Costa Rica from your friends in Germany
Hummingbirds have a fluid sac in the back of their head which sloshes back and forth, helping them to maintain their equilibrium while flying, especially backwards and upside-down.
dreddbolt Thank you for sharing your knowledge. :)
They are also the only birds that can take off vertically
I recently learnt that unlike other birds whose wings flap up and down, Hummingbird wings go back and forth, like that of the bees.
Wow, that male resplendent quetzal was so... resplendent! It must have been a delightful experience to watch that bird in real life.
2:33 “Down on the jungle floor struts the most stylish bird of Costa Rica!”
*(Shows Danielle)*
Danielle's smile when she fed the hummingbird was so cute!
Quetzals are my national bird 🇬🇹! Never knew their habitat also extended all the way to Costa Rica! That's pretty cool
Do a video about quetzals!! I love quetzals.
Your expression when handling the 2 hummingbirds, is a thing of beauty and should be able to inspire anyone to help preserve all precious life on this planet!
I really like how you have each animal extinction level under their names but I think it should be in red or green or some other colour differentiate from the name I think it would look better and it will be a little bit easier to differentiate for people with learning disabilities such as myself.😊 thanks.💋
This is a great suggestion. If / when we do another set of episodes on location, I'll be sure to do this.
Can be bad to. Colorblind people.
@@jimpitts5015 Don't fake being another person.
@@globglogabgalab1475 not faking, just being me.
@@jimpitts5015 Well you acted like you were one of the Animalogic team.
Resplendent quetzal and the hummingbird has same style of color I love it ❤️
5:31 "...they can make some creepy sounds,"
Bird: *moans*
Hmmm i wonder where that bird learned that
hummingbird: does anything
me: hecking superb you funky little dude
The queztal is goregous and when I saw the spilt tail I thought it was breathtaking. And I've seen humming birds but not so many species and iridescent feathers, wow.
I've seen so many animals already, but I'm In awe what nature still has in it's sleeve. Those Resplendent Quetzal's are truly breathtaking.
I remember being obsessed with Quetzals, they're so awesome
HOLD UP. Danielle is the artist in all these videos?! I'm shook. Multi talented! 👍
Birbs fling around at incredibly hihg speeds
Justin Y.
Welcome back number one commenter

I think it’s birds and high. So,

Justin why do I see you everywhere?
An episode dedicated to Birds. I couldn't ask for anything better.
The Quetzal is the national bird of Guatemala :)
The humming birds and Quetzals are beautiful, heck all these birds are gorgeous
Im a great fan of this show, love the format and the source of knowledge! As a costarican I feel honored with this video and so glad there’s spreading of our great biodiversity in this kind of form. Thanks a lot Danielle, I wish you the best to you and your projects. Pura vida!
For the next one maybe try the philippine eagle? Its an interesting yet endangered bird, the last of its species in fact. The video could bring awareness to these amazing birds
The animal titles look like the boss titles in botw
I don't trust hummingbirds. They remind me of lemon-sized mosquitoes.
I will be using that phrase. Thank you. It's great.
Thats an offense to them
Holy sh*t. Holy sh*t.
...Holy sh*t.
I now have a new nightmare. Thanks mate.
Lol😂
What a loveley mini documentary! Seems like a perfect place to birdwatch 😊
easily one of the best zoology channels on this platform
Roucans are one of my favorite birds. The bills are quite the eye catcher.
What a beautiful episode! Dinossaurs really are the best!
My favorite bird is the Squirrel Cuckoo, and getting to know the somewhat similar Quetzal was amazing!
AAAAH this was beautiful. I’m so excited to see your channel branch out like this, it’s so cool that you have the resources to do this (dont stop making your regular content though, i adore them
Hi! Coelacanth anybody?
Yeh
What a blessing to go to Costa Rica.
Love to see my country featured on this channel
Great work!
Verdad? 😊 🇨🇷 ❤️
0:11 Cutest thing I've ever seen..He caught that tiny feather with such grace
Can't get enough Costa Rica! Could you do one on the otters that live in Singapore? Those city otters are so cool!
Would love to!
Omg yes!I live here in Singapore and we dont really have exotic animals living here esp in the wild but i would love to know more abt the otters-saw them once in a riverbank and they were adorable :)
Those birds are so beautiful and adorable thank you!
I spent 3 months working at Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary. That yellow-naped amazon parrot at the end of the parrot section is named Julietta. I’d know her giggle anywhere
The birds are amazing! But let's talk about your art for a second: it's insanely cool! I always envy people who can do something like that, to me it's an otherworldly talent, awesome! ❤
Hey to everyone working on this channel, thank you. Thanks for educating not me but the people that are so interested and curious in wildlife and Biology in general. I know Im going to watch this channels videos A LOT. I wish you guys he best :))

Cool, it would be fun to see a school like that.
Sea pancake
You guys went to bird watch in Costa Rica.... WITHOUT ME??
0:07 "Perhaps none more beautiful that...😻 the birds."
😿: * a Costa Rican cat silently weeps, somewhere*
Love these videos. Animalogic does an awesome job of keeping wildlife documentaries alive. Thanks Danielle and team! :)
Pls make a video about snow leopards or wild dogs
You guys are awsome !
the 6 dislikes are the bully toucans
Just when I thought I've seen all birds I see the Curassow, that's a new one for me. For some reason I thought the Resplendent Quetzal was extinct, I'm so happy to find out this is not true! What beautiful birds! I wish the whole world would come together to save all threatened birds.
Best episode ever! I love that you went on location to Costa Rica. Many blessings as you hopefully continue your journey through the animal kingdom. ♥️🦚🐝
Cool to see you out in the field with the wildlife. You're an amazing artist Danielle!
I am a huge bird lover was watching this this video with my two parakeets
Yoshi Idris What kind of parakeet? Budgie, Conure, Cockatiel, etc...?
This is my favorite video ever, lol. I wanted so bad to be some kind of bird specialist but ended up studying linguistics lol. Birds are the most beautiful creatures in the planet💖
As a Costa Rican, I sincerely loved this!
Mae es un orgullo ver nuestra naturaleza, tanto flora y fauna. Estoy deseando ver el documental!

I'd love to see a video like this for Canadian or American wildlife so many people don't realize how much beauty is right outside our backyards
Quetzals are stunning.

Love watching the birds in the field :D
It's gotta be nice to be out of the studio and knee deep in the wild. Love your work, raising awareness and giving people knowledge of our the animals that we coexist with on this planet.
I really like these wildlife videos even if i know some stuff about species of birds, fish or any sort of animal I really like learning more about the species around the world and their unique way to survive and all thanks to Animalogic's videos
Wow I love this version of your show! You should switch between the old format and this one. I know it’s probably difficult to travel between these locations and get videos out at an acceptable pace. Great work!
I can't wait the Animalogic and Brave Wilderness collaboration.
Great vid Danielle and team!
One of your best videos yet!
I actually love all your videos so much
bullet bill is the best bill change my mind

What a great episode!
Well done girl! Costa Rica is an amazing place, can't wait to go back again.
Very cool, especially the Quetsal
I want to give this multiple thumbs up! Excellent content, hosting and editing. Thanks for continually being a go to channel for my own interests and of the educational support of my children! Thank You! Best of wishes!
extremely soothing to listen to danielle
I’d love to see a vid about ducks. Most videos online talk about breeding for eggs or food. I’m always more interested in the birds themselves. I love your videos.
Who wouldn't like these videos?? Awesome job guys, love from Costa Rica ✌
you're cool... I like your delivery. Thanks for the great videos
I enjoyed watching this..great job.👍
