Hello Aluxers, which African country is next on your bucket list? What top 10 would you like to see next? CAPE TOWN: ua-cam.com/video/_KFKu-sSd08/v-deo.html Top 10 Most Incredible Hidden Homes: ua-cam.com/video/jHGJxPuI8w8/v-deo.html
Honestly this is the most lazy video u did and i feel offended as an Aluxer, i am from kenya and think you should have Checked Kenya and Ethopia, i start to doubt the rest of the videos 😠 anyhu
Africa is not a country. There are about 55 countries in that continent and it's wierd that many folks still make it sound like Africa is a Country. Whenever they said area (eg when referring to Linda Ikeji's home in Nigeria which they referred to as an area in Africa. they should have replaced phrase with "in this country"..or "one of the countries in Africa". Besides that cool video. I am sure there are more lavish homes than these as most of the houses i grew up seeing and visiting in Lagos,Nigeria are way nicer than most homes I have seen in North America. so it is not as unusual as the lady narrating in the video depicted. It's a norm actually. There are so many ghettos and homeless shelters in Canada and United states with people living below 'poverty line'. However they never mention this when talking about countries in North America but they never shy away from stating poverty as the first thing when speaking about Africa (as noticed in this video at the beginning where the lady stated that "although a lot of them are struggling to survive.....". Poverty was cited yet again (unoriginal famous saying from the people living 'on the outside'). although the video has nothing to do with poverty it was somehow slated in there (just because🙄) Yes there is poverty in every continent and country in the world😓 but when they make a video about luxury it's wierd they start by further rehashing the 'poverty' narrative/stereotype when there is a lot of that right in our own backyards in North America. Very nice video though..I like Alux videos. Would have been nice to also feature some homes in other African countries besides the 2 or 3 countries featured (the Black River House was said to be in Mauritius but had the Nigerian flag so I'm a bit confused). Nevertheless Thank you for the video Alux. Very beautiful 🏩
I lived in Cape Town all my life and recently moved to the US guys it’s not the same. All the money is this side but I found out the hard way that money alone does not make you happy. I miss the African spirit and kindness that is non existent here.
It's a lifestyle conflict. The public schools around here show that there's free janitors & free cafeteria workers to aid the students. Then the students become adults,...... and realize there's no free butler to fix their stuff. No free meals served either. Some adults believe their cellphone and car are the most important things in life.
I had the same experience, after university I moved to London where I had a great job and made a lot more money that I ever could've in SA, but after 2 years I couldn't take it anymore, all those top tier first class countries like UK, USA, Australia etc all work well and the money is good, but like you I found that my source of happiness is not money but good genuine friends and living in a place where everyone is genuinely happy and friendly. The "west" may seem alluring to many, but it can never replace Africa in my heart, warts and all.
here is America we know that kindness, sympathy , and empathy is for the weak. We did not get our country where we are at now (ranked number 1) in the whole world by being kind.

Absolutely right. I know it's always intimidating for people to zoom in and dig for information on Africa but let's hope they will eventually try. Peace.
Nicky Oppenheimer is the richest man in South Africa...worth $7 billion...5.2 billion more than Patrice Motsepe who is 5th richest in SA And those first three homes should definitely not be on the list
We are not talking about the countries here but wealthy individuals. And there are filthy rich people in other African countries as well. Especially if they will list a 2 million dollar home..... read comments in other commentaries from other Africans. But I do know footballers, politicians and royalties have more expensive houses than 2million. I would have expected to see Jacob Zuma's mansion former president of the Republic of South Africa... He made a $20 million upgrade to his house... and others sources even estimate the upgrade to be around $28 million
Nice but didn't like the fact that all the houses where only from Nigeria and South Africa. From your past videos, I'm beginning to think you believe Africa consists of those 2 countries only. ( one small effort with 1 highlight from Mauritius island with no owner name and a bonus in Morocco with French stylist name and not privately owned). Annoying to see that Africa has been reduced to just Nigeria and South Africa in North Americans' perspective. The reality is you have not even looked at the other 53 countries closely enough. U need to dig and can research online if u care to know. Otherwise please do a video of houses in different parts of Africa so we can see your knowledge on the topic. With all the incredibly rich presidents, I refuse to believe that none of those 53 countries have estates that could be added here... Even when showcasing famous historical figures, please check from other African countries not just Nigeria, ALUX you need to look into the likes of charismatic historical leaders like Patrice Lumumba from DRCongo, Sedar Senghor from Senegal, Samora Machel from Angola, Kimpa Vita, female leader and prophetess in central Africa, etc., billionaires in Kenya, richest family in Angola. @@samegemba1741 They rarely show even office buildings, universities, or middle class people. There is definitely an agenda. You'd be surprised how many westerners visit Africa for the first time and can't believe there are cars, shopping malls and city centres with skyscrapers there. Most expect to just come out their planes and see mud huts and hungry kids.
Wonderful video of the most expensive homes in Africa. I like Aliko Dankote mansion, Mike Adenuga villa, Ikoyi high tech kouse, Patrice Motsepe mansion in Cape Town, blogger Linda Ikoji house and the Black River Penthouse in Mauritius. I think the city of Lagos in Nigeria, Cape Town in South Africa, Nairobi in Kenya and Mauritius are the best cities for real estate investment in Africa. I would like to visit the peaceful and low crime African countries of Namibia, Botswana and Tanzania .
I personally feel like this video should've been more inclusive of other African countries, and it seems like it was sort of looking down on homes here compared to American or European homes. This shouldn't really be the case. This video is about African homes so talk about African homes. I don't hear comparisons between Western homes to African homes belittling them in videos about Western homes. I really love your videos, but this was just disappointing and hurtful. Basically, if you can't make a video uplifting Africans just don't make one at all.
Morroco, Ghana and I bet even Libya have more expensive houses. This list of houses was made by a person who never been to Africa or cant even list 8 African country names from the top of their head. LOL
Lol I like how the price jumps up by a factor of 20 from 2nd place to first place. Also while it might seem reasonable for some with between 1 and 2 billion dollars to have a house worth 700 million , in reality that doesn't seem reasonable. She must have liquidated a large portion of her wealth to afford the house.
They actually do This videos was made a while back, while Jeff did increase in wealth so did they and together are definitely worth more than him and besides you know Africa is full of poverty so obviously Jeff is close in wealth to them but why would you even say that with so much pride that one would think you actually are Jeff bezos
This list is OMG inaccurate. Im in South Africa. Quite a few in Cape Town are over US$10m. Just land on Nettleton Rd is more than that. You might also want to google Palazzo Steyn in Johannesburg but have a seatbelt on.
what a poor Nigerian people, while a handful rich people build these luxury houses and enjoy their life the others lost their life because of the famine and under a harsh poverty.
@Alux.com, you made a serious mistake. Patrice Motsepe is not the richest man in South Africa, in fact he does not even make it onto the top 3 Richest people in South Africa. The richest person in South Africa is actually Nicky Oppenheimer.
I don’t think the house in Ikoyi is worth $700M after a comparison with several structure costing similar amounts. Even when you consider the net worth of an individual a real asset like that would be fully considered as part of the net worth
Been really following Alux and thought it was informative but coming from Africa(kenya) I tend to feel this video biased and misleading, did u even check out Kenya or Ethopia? Startint to doubt the rest of the video u uploaded, Good day Aluxers
The only thing you dont know is that in Africa taxes are very high and the income is very low. Also Most rich Africans try to shy off the public lime light so to evade taxes hence there are so many rich people that u will never know about
I am a subscriber of yours. It really bothers me that for a "factual" information sharing channel, you couldn't be arsed to look up the flag of Mauritius instead you used that of Nigeria on no. 8
Do more research there are millions of houses bigger and more expensive than this list don't base your list on houses seen on blogs not everyone wants to show off, plus Africa is not about Nigeria and South Africa (lmao) there are more than 50 countries in Africa Cameroon where am from have bigger houses than these three floor houses am seeing, even my own house is 5 floors so do your research properly "ALUX"
I think we shud luk at countries with people living below poverty line. Yes we brag about how big the mansion is and its worthiness. Few of those rich people have worked hard for their money and mostly have dirty money in their hands. How many of these rich people are philantropists? So far I only know Motsepe, Rupert, Dagote.
Nigeria, Morocco, Algeria, south Africa, Kenya,Egypt ,Tanzania,Botswanangola,Tunisia and Ethiopia have the most beautiful and expensive properties in Africa. There is one property in south AFRICA put in the market for the price of 300 million us dollars.
This is a grossly inaccurate list. Even in zambia we have houses passing the 4 million dollar mark. I'm sure Kenya, Morocco, Ghana, Egypt and Zimbabwe definitely has some very very strong contenders!!!

Jeff Bezos is richer than all African billionaires combined
Try Kenya
Ikr kenya got dope homes 💯
As always, Thanks for the last videos !
Alux is making me proud of being a Nigerian.
Nice houses Alux! Dont forget about the most expensive houses in Asia.
My bucket list includes the Ivory Coast, Benin, Ghana and Lagos, Nigeria
But it is annoying that the continent is referred as a monolith.
8:40 you know Buckingham Place is worth $1.5billion which is 70 times more than $22million....
Sometimes alux gets confused
Morroco, Ghana and I bet even Libya have more expensive houses. This list of houses was made by a person who never been to Africa or cant even list 8 African country names from the top of their head. LOL
Lol I like how the price jumps up by a factor of 20 from 2nd place to first place. Also while it might seem reasonable for some with between 1 and 2 billion dollars to have a house worth 700 million , in reality that doesn't seem reasonable. She must have liquidated a large portion of her wealth to afford the house.
Crazy how the whole African billionaires combined net worth isn't up to Jeff bezos net worth
Lol in nigeria we have hidden billionaire politicians richer than bill gate ..but the have undergroud houses which the hide there money.
They actually do
This videos was made a while back, while Jeff did increase in wealth so did they and together are definitely worth more than him and besides you know Africa is full of poverty so obviously Jeff is close in wealth to them but why would you even say that with so much pride that one would think you actually are Jeff bezos
"Michael Adenuga"s house more expensive than Buckingham Palace" 😬
I guess this Channel doesn't know the actual price of Buckingham palace😁
This list is OMG inaccurate. Im in South Africa. Quite a few in Cape Town are over US$10m. Just land on Nettleton Rd is more than that.
You might also want to google Palazzo Steyn in Johannesburg but have a seatbelt on.
what a poor Nigerian people, while a handful rich people build these luxury houses and enjoy their life the others lost their life because of the famine and under a harsh poverty.
Does anyone else wonder who does these narrations?
love her!!!
Her voice is one of the sweetest i have ever heard, please what's her name?
Only Nigeria and SA❤️.
Surely that house isn't worth 700m$ no ways!
@Alux.com, you made a serious mistake. Patrice Motsepe is not the richest man in South Africa, in fact he does not even make it onto the top 3 Richest people in South Africa. The richest person in South Africa is actually Nicky Oppenheimer.
We are talking about Africans.
I don’t think the house in Ikoyi is worth $700M after a comparison with several structure costing similar amounts. Even when you consider the net worth of an individual a real asset like that would be fully considered as part of the net worth
They finally did a video on Africa
No 8: that’s not the flag of Mauritius 🇲🇺
I'm not Nigerian but my family lived next to Linda ikije and we are still friends
South Africa🇿🇦 and Nigeria. 🇳🇬
Been really following Alux and thought it was informative but coming from Africa(kenya) I tend to feel this video biased and misleading, did u even check out Kenya or Ethopia? Startint to doubt the rest of the video u uploaded, Good day Aluxers
The number 1 house is located in ikoyi Cresent. That house is huge
This woman came here and yanned Akooyai
The only thing you dont know is that in Africa taxes are very high and the income is very low. Also
Most rich Africans try to shy off the public lime light so to evade taxes hence there are so many rich people that u will never know about
Ay…. mauritius aint in Nigeria
Chris Rock Voice - 700 million dollars!! Good Lawd that's a lot of money!
shortdogg1313, I believe some of these price tags were thumb sucked.
In Kenya there are tons of houses that cost over $5 milion dollars,so maybe the list was based on some of the famous people in africa.
I am a subscriber of yours. It really bothers me that for a "factual" information sharing channel, you couldn't be arsed to look up the flag of Mauritius instead you used that of Nigeria on no. 8
The interior shots of Aliko Dangote House are definitely from a townhouse in Manhattan. I've looked at it plenty of times on Sotheby's and Christies.
No alux. You can easily find a 5 million dollars house in Morocco especially in big cities
All the information about the South African homes is incorrect with some of the photos of the houses not even being the correct property!
Ella mojoko it's not about the floor but about the value of the building, some houses in Nigeria are Bullet proof and you know what that will cost
Well that's true too
I think we shud luk at countries with people living below poverty line. Yes we brag about how big the mansion is and its worthiness. Few of those rich people have worked hard for their money and mostly have dirty money in their hands. How many of these rich people are philantropists? So far I only know Motsepe, Rupert, Dagote.
By the way, Motsepe just recently donated R2m for food and shelter to IDAI victims. Not enough but a bread on a table is worth something.
Loved this video. I'm from Guinea.
Thanks for mentioning that not all of Africa is poor and depressing.
Mom said we’re going to Africa and I said Africa is so ugly and then I saw this is so beautiful
This is a grossly inaccurate list. Even in zambia we have houses passing the 4 million dollar mark. I'm sure Kenya, Morocco, Ghana, Egypt and Zimbabwe definitely has some very very strong contenders!!!
True, but the video is influenced by the popularity of those two countries.
Kenyans here we are... African time
This is false.....LOL I'm from Ghana and we have more than 50 houses that cost 3 million and above so.
Count them and upload.....don't wait for others to tell your own story!
This is flag of Mauritius 🇲🇺 3:54
Nigeria 🇳🇬 Atlantic Ocean , Continental
Mauritius 🇲🇺 Indian Ocean, Island
Change the title to Most expensive houses in Cape Town and Lagos. I don't think you have done enough research.
Ethiopia amazing country
Only the airline
Cape Town would be my idea place to visit!!
hi
700 mill?!! You can make 700 million beautiful houses with that amount in Africa, but hey, what ever swings her boat.
