From reading the comments, I find that many people have at least one album they don't like from Interpol's discography. I don't know, but do I have anyone standing behind me when I say that I loved all their stuff? Excited for the new album.
Yeah! I don't get it. Maybe I'm just a mindless Interpol fan that likes anything they throw my way, but I love all their work. There are some songs I like more than others but I find it hard to say I don't like any one of their albums. I think the self-titled was a concept album so I wasn't expecting it to be as catchy as some of the stuff off of Antics and I wasn't expecting the stuff off of OLTA to be as lyrically beautiful as ToTBL. But I love them all for different reasons. And the more I listen to a song, the more I appreciate it. I think a lot of Interpol stuff, and Interpol in general, is an acquired taste.
raisinthestakes
Woohoo!
I'm right there with you.
I find some tracks amazing, they completely resonate with me... but others I find... boring. TOTBL for me had a solid "theme" that I really liked, and I found most tracks fit it. I found Antics quite dry/barren musically. Our Love To Admire definitely redeemed the Interpol I really liked, but then I kinda lost interest in the later records. They really milked the sounds, chords, style I liked early on and perhaps branched out to avoid painting themselves into a corner (my kinda corner!), which I totally understand!
Same. I love all their stuff, especially El Pintor and Antics.
The piano that starts at 2:00 is so beautiful. I enjoyed just listening to that so I can only imagine how much Im going to enjoy the new album.
Interpol fans stick together because that's how we are "We all hold hands"... yes we miss Carlos D but remember there are 3 other band members that created Interpol not just one... ima love this album just as much as I loved all the other ones... see you in Vegas and FYF Interpol!
I like you.
After all the years since Carlos left the band, the result for me is, Interpol got a perfect improvement and Carlos is no time missing since 2010!
I think the step out by Carlos was the best change for the Band!
This band actually made me want to pick up guitar. Good times.
Same
And celebrate the myriad ways you love them?
@@lenonel3286 you saw the opportunity and you didnt hesitate
Twice as hard on the piano....wow
Sommer yo pense que era barricade :v
Exacto
En la original también se puede escuchar el piano
So good
They should have put it on the album.
@@TheRover1 it's already on it in the mix
SAM! One of the best drummers in rock, period. I like how this video was cut, with some humor.
Just hearing those chords made me have to blast “All the Rage...”...
1:07 guitar solo was *o* ❤❤❤
When he started playing all the rage I felt it touch my soul. Just like the first time I heard it but, in a much different way.
I really hope we can hear that solo guitar play that starts at 1:05 and that beautiful piano at the 2:00 mark in their respective songs soon.
The solo guitar part is from "All The Rage Back Home"
That riff reminded me The Scale... or that album really...
Twice as hard in the 2:00
Those amps may sounds better at 10, but I'll bet they're even more better at 11.
or 12
1:08-1:20 there's that Interpol sound I know and love!
One of the most original and underated bands out there. And one of my top ten
Interpol couldn't possibly sound more like... Interpol
That's a good thing, Luiz. That's a good thing...
Erica O'Kelly Never said it wasn't. But I do prefer bands that change things up more from one album to the next. Sounding like themselves and yet like something new at the same time, that'd be great.
Idk about that... without Carlos’ bass lines it’s not 100% Interpol just like 75%
Luiz Felipe Fonseca yes I don't mind bands changing like my chemical romance and the strokes did. But Interpol changed for the worse after OLTA. All the rage back home has remnants of Interpol though.
Joy Division. Xdd
1:41 is pretty much my reaction to "Twice As Hard"
1:53 "uh... we close to doing this thing?"
indiesongaday I will use that phrase on a regular base now
Did anyone else notice the wordplay of the title? They're calling themselves "painters" because "el pintor" in Spanish is the painter, and "el pintor" uses the same letters as Interpol. I love them and their cleverness so much!!
0:50 the sound is so beautiful
Know the name?
@@nokia633 I think is tidal wave
En estos días difíciles esto es lo que uno necesita 💙
No better way to enter the stretching nights of fall than a new Interpol album. Looking forward to it fellas. And the bass, especially at 0:55'ish is beautiful. We hope to see you in Portland when you're touring this one.
Paul is playing bass. This will be interesting.
I just want to hear this already ❤️❤️❤️ it's driving me crazy!
Too excited for this album. I'm so glad they're back.
It's about time they give us some more great music. .. one of the few bands that bring us real music!
I couldn't agree more!!! 👍
Glad to see you back on the studios... heureuse de vous revoir ensemble, j'attends avec impatience !
Saw these chaps last night. One of the best.
You don't see enough behind the scenes footage showing how focused a band has to be through the mundane elements of working in the studio. The video has certainly whetted my appetite. Let's hope the new tracks will see this great band back on form.
The new songs they have been playing in recent live shows are OUTSTANDING.
El pintor is actually a really good name
I simply can't wait for their new record! The little audio clips they show here are so damn teasing!
Thank you Interpol!!!! For making my life better!
1:08 All the Rage... Love that song
0:52 is sounding pretty great
Going back to the TOTBL and Antics times? Please do!
I am so ready! Can't wait to hear the new album. Come on September, lets go!
Saw them at Toads Place, New Haven on Tuesday. They played 3 new songs, My Desire, Anywhere, and All the Rage Back Home. Was absolutely awesome.
This album is very ambient and nice sounding. It grooves well and I love it ❤
Can't wait.
Just made my day, looking forward to hearing more :)
Well, I can say for sure that it was worth the waiting, it is probably their second best. Amazing album,
the scraps of music seem like the tracks are gonna be epic. can't wait.
MY BODY IS READY. Can't wait! Come to Calgary!
I love you Interpol
These guys deserve a lot more recognition
This whole video feels like it should of been in Black & White! I can't wait to hear this album!
Please make and upload a full length documentary on this album! I feel like I've discovered a new band even though I've been listening to you all for years! Great job!
Can't wait
All the part with the piano at the end of the video reminds me of Paul's song 'Madrid Song' ! And I loved that song !
Can't wait!
1:06..oh my God, can't wait
I can't wait til september 8th! When i hear that piano part, i remember why you mean so much to me when i was a little bit younger!
Really looking forward to this album...

Electric Lady on my bucket list. Looking forward to seeing the guys in Lisbon.
Such a tease, more!
August 21st at the Cosmopolitan baby cant wait! :)
I remembered a comment convo with you two in regards to this album. I saw them live in September and the show was awesome. The band has more than stepped up to make the loss of Carlos not a big deal. This new album is probably my second favorite behind "Turn On The Bright Lights". I am more than happy to admit my original opinions were wrong. I hope you both enjoy the hell out of this album as well!
Interpol will always be my favorite band and I don't feel they necessarily have anything else to prove, I'm just excited to hear new music by them. That being said, I'm not at all concerned about Carlos not being in their band anymore. He is a great bassist no doubt but Being that he was so heavily involved in the orchestrations of the last two albums I'm kind of glad he's gone. I personally feel like their last two albums sounded extremely heavy handed with their arrangements which I attribute all to Carlos. To me Interpol are at their best when they're organic and stripped down I.e "Evil" which if you remember it was Daniel who wrote the bass for THAT song and to me it's one of their most iconic tracks. I think Carlos was trying to go in a direction that simply is NOT Interpol. Here it sounds like they're avoiding that which I'm more than happy with. Not at all worried El Pintor will be fantastic!
We shall see it. Rest My Chemistry was my favourite album untill the "Interpol" came out but I propably will like El Pintor whatever it will sound like xD
your opinion means nothing. carlos was the reason this band was relevant and it shows entirely that theyre dead basically without him
owwww ya quiero escucharlo.....!!!!
ya la quiero escuchar.
Vamos Interpol
Cant wait it better be good
I want more of this
Love first álbum i hope This will be great
Man its been 6 years, damn. Time flies!
Damn man such a great studio. Electric Lady was one of a kind. It's really sad that my city NYC is changing so much. And not for the better. :(
How so is it changing? Political nonsense perhaps?
Los amo tanto 😭😍♥️
Como no amarlos
ahuevo nuevo album!!!! estoy "flipando" jaja
Interpol chingoneria club de los chingones urge track uuuuuuurge! Ya suéltalo Banks from Mexico City yeeeeeeaaaaaaaah!
Finally! \o/
They just released a new song called "Anywhere" to the fb page, it doesn't sound like any of their old stuff but you can tell its interpol because nothing else sounds like it. Listening to it gave me goosebumps and chills, I've listened to all the albums from the EP to all their studio stuff with extra stuff they dont put in the american records like "mind over time" and "gavilan", and listening to this new song is like getting a different perspective on life ya know, just something you never heard before
My desire!!!! K cancion tan genial
Nov.11/14 in T.O., ONT. coolhaus...cant freakn wait!
yesss!!!!
1:08 Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
INTERPOL peint les couleurs de mes sentiments les plus nuancés...
1:12 ver ese bajo me recordo que tistemente ya no esta Carlos Dengler :(
El segundo 00:25 es genial ese sonido!!!
esto me llena de hype
0:44-0:47........AMAZING sound! Can't wait to hear that song.......and all of Elpintor!
Not on the album :-( If you ever find out the name of it let me know.
I am too am somewhat disappointed about this Tyler. However, there is an iTunes pre-order track for El Pintor called "In The Depths" which I'm hoping will be the song that contains the amazing sound we're discussing here. Additionally, in an interview, Daniel mentioned that this most recent Interpol work came together so effortlessly that the band had 14 quality songs altogether which made pairing the album down to 10 tracks a difficult task. I'm hoping that one of those four songs that didn't make the El Pintor cut could be the song in question and turn up sooner rather than later as a "B-Side" or a bonus track somewhere along the line.
Awesome it's... ¡Very cool! i can't wait for a new album :'D
The Best
Wow Daniel is 40 this year but looks like he's in his mid 20s, while Paul and Sam look considerably older. Just illustrates what smoking does to you... I'll buy this album as soon as it comes out!
I love the sound of that piano 1:57
That's pretty cool when you can tune your guitar and you still sound like Interpol
Twice as hard 👌🏼🖤
0:51 suena epico!
I like the sound of Interpol when they record or play live using the tone of a Jazz bass as opposed to the Precision bass.
Overall, I'm satisfied with this album as a whole. Not as moody or melancholy as their first installment, but it's refreshing, and I'm glad to hear new material from such an amazing band. The more you listen to the album as a whole, the better it gets. I feel like I would've changed a few of the songs, but I respect the direction that the band took with this one. Can't wait for their next record ;) Go buy it!
Antics was Interpol's masterpiece - hope this is as good!
Absolutely agree :)
