- Welcome to our video all about the German Shepherd Malinois mix, also known as the Malinois Shepherd or the Shepinois. If you're considering adding a new furry friend to your family and are interested in learning more about this unique hybrid breed, you've come to the right place.
The German Shepherd Malinois mix is a crossbreed between the German Shepherd and the Belgian Malinois, two highly intelligent and loyal breeds that are often used in law enforcement and military work. This mix is becoming increasingly popular as a family pet due to its strong work ethic, loyalty, and intelligence.
This hybrid breed typically has a muscular build and a short, dense coat that can come in a variety of colors, including black, brown, and fawn. They are known for their high energy levels and require regular exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy.
Because of their intelligence and trainability, Shepinois dogs excel in a variety of activities, such as obedience training, agility, and search and rescue. They are also great companions for active families who enjoy outdoor activities and exercise.
Shepinois dogs are very loyal to their families and have a strong protective instinct, which makes them great watchdogs. However, they can be wary of strangers and may require socialization and training to ensure that they are well-behaved around new people and animals.
It's important to note that because the German Shepherd Malinois mix is a hybrid breed, it can inherit traits from both parent breeds. This means that their temperament, energy level, and health can vary from dog to dog. It's important to do your research and find a reputable breeder who can provide you with information about the specific dog you're interested in.
Overall, the German Shepherd Malinois mix is a wonderful breed with a lot to offer. If you're considering adding one to your family, be prepared for a loyal and active companion who will bring endless joy to your life. Thanks for watching our video, and we hope you learned something new about this amazing hybrid breed!

I have a shepinos weighing 108 lbs and best dog I've ever had in my life.
I have one he's the best damn dog in the world ❤
The cross is actually what is primarily used in police and military. They can look like purebred Malinois or WL GSD with variations. Some people call them the German line of malinois, some people call them Dutch herders. Basically all the dogs you see in military and police are specifically bread working dogs from Dutch shepherds, Belgian malinois, and German Shepherd working lines. The dog in this video however looks a Lot more like a working line purebred German shepherd with some Malinois in him but he definitely more working German Shepherd in phenotype. Purebred working line German Shepherds look totally different from show or pet line German Shepherds and are basically what the original German Shepherd is supposed to look like. Anytime you see a 95 pound or 100 lb Belgian Malinois it has working line German Shepherd in pedigree. If it's recent or far back it's in there. The knpv dogs do not care about purebred. They care about best working dogs
I just found out my gorgeous dog, Athena, is 55% GSD, 35% Belgian Melinois and 10% Dutch Shepard. She has the body of a malinois and the coloring of GSD. 60lb female. She so fast and agile.. it’s remarkable to watch how easily she can jump, she looks like she is flying. So insane.
@@ShayitisntsoI got a shepinois it's amazing how lazy he is at times but usually at night time he comes alive.
That dog is a pure mix of the two. Listen to the bark that it not a shepherd bark. Malinois X for the win. I love mine. And she’s only 9 weeks old.
@@dylanturner6865yeah I agree with you on the bark. German Shepherds have a much deeper bark. It's just in phenotype he took a lot more after the working line German Shepherd but you are correct the bark is Malinios
So they basically look like Czech line GSD then, which is a great thing!
Totally agree, very healthy dogs, loyal, energetic, but I recommend the puppy must be separated from the malinois father because, the son loose part of his dominant and protective instinct. And if the German shepherd is big... wait to see the mali/germ son. But the son in my case results less hypper active than the father and very close in affection with his mother. Beautiful dogs. Is more beautiful than a DDR German shepherd
Thanks, it is a great idea, i didn't know about it. If you have more tips please write them too
@@ChihuLife for this dog malinoi is the mother or shepherd is the mother
I would disagree I've seen crosses of the two that are ugly and some are gorgeous it really depends on what type of Malinois you are using. There are plenty of working line German Shepherds that are absolutely gorgeous and far more beautiful than the cross, however the cross can look very nice when done well
FAVOURITE MIX.
I love this mix and I want to get it soon.
I have A GSD/MALINOIS mix, she's female and 50lbs
Im gettin one friday
Just got one today. She’s 49lbs
My gsd malinois mix male puppy is huge! Measured 36 in from head to toe last time 😅
I have owned both breeds, this a fine looking dog. thanks
OMG his awesome
Ya it looks nice 😊
Love it
Agree :)
damn its beatiful
Yessss :)
Yo tengo una es hembra y es idéntico al de la foto jaja
Now my dog make sense. Other says it belgian Malinois and other says its german shepherd because it really looks like a german shepherd. But judging by its fur, its not so hairy like the german and not so skinny like Belgian Malinois.
Gorgeous dog! I appreciate the genetic diversity in this dog. Best of both.
Wonderfull dog!!!
👍🏻❤️
Awesome👍 Love❤ From Odisha Jay Bharat....
Thanks :)
@@ChihuLife I have a question was the Malinois X mixed with a ddr German shepherd and which breed was the mother
what is his mother? german shepherd or belgian
I have a puppy 14 weeks old just the same and I have a 4 year old son too and frankly I have no problems I means yes he does nibble as every puppy does but if you tell him NO and give him a chew toy he stops alone and he loves playing with my son they even sleep together he isn't my first and they were always the same I've introduced them at a young age idk how people say they need to be supervised makes no sense
Puppies avilable ? This is ddr German sheperd ?
how old is he in the video, still a puppy 7-9 months? i have a GSD MAL cross its a similar size right now to him and weighs 32.5kg (71 pounds) and it was a week off 7 months weighing that
It really depends on which side they take more after. I have an 11 month female that is under 70 lbs and she's the largest female of the litter. We've seen others, a male, that was full grown at 65 lbs. Just depends on genetics. Mine has a black mal mask but otherwise GSD coloration patterns, and mal energy levels w/ GSD off switch (ie she is gogogogo but inside she calms down right away)
mine is pushing nearly 7 1/2 months and he is solid muscle at 84Lbs
Just for the record the dog in this video is in phenotype looks like a working line German shepherd. But the Malinois and German Shepherd or the X Malinois as they are called or X herder are larger then traditional Belgian Malinois or Dutch shepherds. Actually the Dutch Shepherd does have German Shepherd in its ancestry because they needed to resuscitate the breed many decades ago. They combine the tenacity and Agility of the Malinois with the more solid nerves, bone, and size and bite of the working line German Shepherd. They can look like purebreds as they are very closely related breeds.
Looks very good! Way better than a german shepherd nowadays!
I dont know from where you are from and what kind of dogs you have there.. but i have allready my second gsd, father is from austria mother from croatia and its the best dog. Malinois is ugly and remind me on fox. I would never cross a pure blood gsd with fox looking dog.
you are rigth, althuogt the german shepard is my favorite dog, nowdays the german shepard looks terrible whit that ass hips tail curved downside. Whit the mix wht belgian malinois looks more like a wolk, more athletic.
The working line German Shepherds are great. It's the show lines that need to be restored.
@antoniomiljanovic9317 this hybrid dog looks more athletic . Wolf like. German shepherds are too bulky.
He sound like a pup 🐶
Sadly that's the Malinois bark. German Shepherds have a much deeper bark
Good work
