It’s sad to see how some people don’t care about their vehicles. Guess we are a rare breed of people with vehicles. Thank you for sharing with us

Retail parts here: Because of all these tees, y's and special connectors, I had all the fittings Dorman listed in their catalog. I had all the reducing couplings. 1/2x3/4, 3/4x1, etc. I stocked the heater hose used on the early Aerostar that went from 1" to 5/8", plus other odd dual size heater hoses listed in the Dayco and Gates illustrated book. It always seemed that someone would come in off Interstate 5 to our rural town desperate to get on the road again. This job of yours has some crazy hoses.

Crazy coinidence, but that thumbnail. I just broke a heater core line just like that in that very spot, just the other day. Wasn't even working on that either. Was sitting up on top of the core support, trying to change a TXV, and set my hand right down on the plastic elbow, and bam. The hose I broke was $122 dollars at the local Ford dealer, that was a costly mistake.

I'm that weird one that even if the vehicle isn't mine I still care about it cause it need it to provide me transportation first and foremost and if it's taken care of, it's comfortable. The truck I drive for the parts company I work for the other guys always leave it a mess and I clean it up cause I can't stand driving a filthy truck.

I bought the 2010 expedition el with 80000 and had to change them 3 months later $300.
If you don't take care of them, you will have more expensive issues.🤷‍♂️
    GOD bless

Yellow optima and a motorcraft battery, what sense does that make. I assume with two batteries the pcm monitors/maintains each battery independently.

Hey, I see the filter-minder working on that truck! I was worried about mine. I have 20k on the air filter and it looks dirty but the fins are straight and the filter-minder has not moved yet. I tested the filter-minder with a Mighty-Vac and it only takes 5in of vacuum to completely close the minder. Guess my filter is good!
Also, mine has almost 140,000mi on it and doesn't leak a drop of anything. Is that abnormal if proper care is given?

@@FordBossMe You missed an opportunity to tell me to make sure I have oil in the thing. That was the running joke among us about old Detroit diesel engines. If it wasn't slobbering, it was out of oil. Have a wonderful weekend!

Never can understand someone using a truck in their business to make money and not taking care of it. That is a newer truck and WAS way to nice to let it get in that shape. They don't seem to understand that little cobbled problems turn into bigger down time problems.
