Thank you for a great year of entertaining presentations with the garage build. I've been giving serious consideration to making wall hanging base cabinets with mostly drawers for a Zuper custom look. The challenging part will be splitting a refrigerator and using a remote mounted compressor like in a commercial application. I will have a full-size dish washer and fridge in the larger than normal pantry anyway, but a floating fridge would be off the hook unique. I briefly considered adding a floating/suspended island too, but the juice wasn't worth the squeeze and I didn't want an obstructed view.
I wish you and your family 'n crew a Merry MAGA Christmas !

Studpack if you can, have the stone fabricator do a 2" or 3" mitered edge depending on thickness of material. It will cost a little more but you will hide the subtop. A ton of commercial stone is still 2CM thick with a mitered or laminated edge.

I would have been tempted to empty the kitchen and dining room and use some self leveling concrete on the whole thing. I think you said they were replacing all the flooring, right? You could have eventually done the whole first floor. It might have slowed things down to start, but every step after would have been so much easier, no? 🤔🙂
