I somewhat agree with flares not being free at top tier. But I also agree that they should be free. Any plane rank VII+ should be given 1/3-1/2 their normal flare count when you first get the plane, then you grind it to get the full amount of flares. This helps a balance of required grinding and ability to grind the aircraft
I too had to do this. Luckily for me, in a 1v7, the enemies sympathized with me and let me trade with one of them. Absolute Chads. Pro tip: after getting the flares, get the Napalm. AIM-9J are pretty garbage, and with the Napalm you can easily destroy a base every time.
just unlocked it yesterday. i thought i was just new and unexperienced at this br and thats why i my kd was 0.35 after 25 battles... but no its just gaejin making the most miserable stock grind possible.
Remember there’s always DCS, where your plane comes with all its capabilities right off the bat, but at the cost of $70 (which is honestly how much you’d have to spend to get it in WT anyways) and another $100 for a HOTAS. Damn we need new flight sims huh
I'm in the exact same spot. Just unlocked my F-16A and since there are no more aircraft left to research on my American tree, I'm waiting for the next patch(es) to start playing with it. However I'm not planning to suffer this much. As soon as there is a discount I'll get a talisman for it 😅

I'd just like to touch on the extreme levels of irony involved in playing a game mode called "realistic" where you're forced to fly out aircraft like F-16s and MiG-29s into combat initially without countermeasures, unless of course you pay the snail to skip the grind.

I have respectfully not flown them ina real match yet due to me not knowing how to play, but I really like the jets so yk fuck a year grind. Also have two premium helicopters. And my condolences to the people who lose their sanity grinding this game.

so did the sparrows since they are so slow, they went from being able to snipe from 30km away to now not even being able to hit at 15km
with that update they pretty much made the mig29 the best airplane at top tier rn i feel like

Today I learned that if you j out on the airfield at the beginning of the game you can change your preset
If you land un damaged you can J out and change it as well, which also bypasses the rearm and repair timer so you can get back up faster.
