Watching those Killis I was thinking about that song ( Come, come my lady, your my butterfly, sugar baby):)😂
What beautiful killifish. Thats why i am on the hunt for different killifish 😊
Cool looking fish
Seperating them where they can still see each other is a very strong breeding tool with many species.
My partner and I enjoyed the lovey-dovey commentary. :-)
“Just spice it up a bit”
Gorgeous gularis!
Hope those do well for you. Would love to get some in the future.
Very cool to watch. Thank you for sharing!
Yep, I talk to my fish too! Beautiful pair. Thanks for sharing
Cool project
How funny.. I was watching the initial setup of this again earlier to get some ideas on creating a dirted tank for my many white cloud minnows I accidentally bred (musical tanks) and caridina culls😅😅Thanks for the update and great to see some breeding action!
That’s awesome gotta love when that happens!
Beautiful fishies.
Those look great like the colors and patterns
Awesome! I have some of the Loe kind! Love em!
The Loes are really nice
@LRBaquatics I just uploaded a little short if you wanna see how they look. They're about 7-8 months old now, I'd say!
Hope to get a few breeding pairs some day.
OMG-wish I could get my hands on these. We can’t get them in NZ 😢
So cool
.Do you know the locality/strain? Logo of the. AKA ,the national organization that gives you all kind of help with killies when you join. John L.Gonzalez of Philly was only full-time pro killie breeder in '60s and '70s. He had a strain of foot,- long blue gularis. $25 in 1963. Went to A,KA Convention in SF in' '77- $100/pair.. No longer in cultivation. I'll keep them again when I get back to California. Really like when the males caudal fin tips have extensions like some cichlids.
They are Warri. I have heard of that strain but never the actual person who made them that big! Crazy to think of a foot long gularis! From what I heard the color would stretch out and why smaller ones starting being sought sent the color would concentrate more… could be hearsay for all I know. Love when they get the big tridents like you see with Peter DeSouza’s line. One of my absolute all time favorite fish ever. Along time ago they almost died out of the hobby all together since many weren’t breeding them with all the newer killies coming out. Used to be and still kind of is hard to find them. Would be a shame if they ever fell wayside.
I need some nice looking chili rasbora !
Me too 😄
Something about kilkifish that just entice me to them ? THANKS TO YOU I GOT SOME HOMEWORK TO DO?
Yup, my yellow labs are mateing right now and the male killed 3 of them the other 2 females went into another tank and are hold fry in there mouths. I have 5 to 1 and i though I was good . I'll change it to 10 t0 one and see what happens.
Try just a pair. I noticed with my cichlids they prefer to start colonies as pairs.
Hey man, loved the video. I need help getting more Killis. I only have a pair of Gardneri now. I'm in Salt Lake City, let me know if you know anyone or have any advice.
I have them once in awhile on my website. Currently have Epiplatys Dagetti in stock
For shame, Voyeur! ;)
i have some exciting news, i have successfully bred a molly and a platy and got 1 super healthy, perfect spined female out of it, the story of how she even exists is crazy, ill definitely try to explain it on your next live if im not busy, she is now 4 weeks old.
Sounds interesting!
Put a top on it and give them more water and then they will spawn. 😅
lol they were spawning no problem. I’m not a fan of lids especially with no filter setups.
Been looking for these for just shy of 3 years in the UK. Any tips or know of any breeders/sellers?
I know there was a UK seller offering them on ebay awhile back...
How many of these would you keep in a 90 gallon community tank?
You can do quite a bit 20-30 in there just make sure you have a lid cause they will jump and make sure nothing fits in there mouth but may be hard to find that many. Many people are lucky to even find pairs of them.
For them likes up to 100 on the video my OCD is satisfied now
hopefully you didnt took the blue USA locality, they have a awfull sexe ratio as i had heard
These are the ‘warri’
@@LRBaquatics Thank for your answer, my bad! yes the 2 locality are pretty close that not that easy , but you can be proud they are gorgeous!
@@Monsterz0 Yeah I’m just glad to have some 😄 since they aren’t as easy to find. Do you breed them? I’m always looking for breeders to create a marketplace for them to get them around more so they don’t disappear like other fish I have seen in the hobby.
@@LRBaquatics I will send you an email right now with my compagny email ( i am entrepeneur on orbamental fish ) I have 16 species of fish right now with 8 killifish species. But i dont post fish stuff on my youtube, its more the mess without worries here😅
@@Monsterz0 Lol I hear ya. Sounds interesting
