    You don't judge a dirty bulk at the end of the bulk, you judge it once you cut and see if it was worth the amount of muscle gained.

      It is much harder to lose all the fat while trying to maintain muscle than gaining muscles on a lean bulk with minimal fat gain.

    there's a reason it's called a dirty bulk, because it isn't good for you, completely agree with you I don't know why people think it's good, it's just "muscle faster" but when is it ever better to have something done faster? better to do a clean bulk for a long time, eat healthy and a lot and you are good.

    Dirty bulking consists of eating everything in sight. Clean bulking consists of eat more of carbs to protein ratio with less fats. Those carbs give you better energy and more glycogen levels to be active. Also clean bulking consists of keeping a track of your daily calorie intake and also to surplus it 200+ every week till you achieve a certain body goal for which you are working for.

    Dirty bulking isn't wrong. I mean it's just not for everyone, it helps a lot for those who are really skinny and struggle so much to put on some weight. It depends from person to person.
    So, let's not blame dirty bulking and appreciate the fact it's just not for everyone. If you wanna put on descent amount of muscle mass i prefer stick to clean bulking, eat in a caloric surplus but eat right foods and not anything you have around you!

      Dirty bulking isn’t for anyone. You can do a dirty bulk if you’re lazy. Dirty bulk is especially bad if you’re skinny imo not an excuse. A clean bulk is always going to give better results and also a more sustainable way to manage your weight gain.

      You should eat a lot only the days you are working out. On the rest days, just take it easy and eat protein only with low fat and carb diet.

      It’s usually beneficial for powerlifters/strongmen as they don’t aim for aesthetics and aren’t too concern about body fat.

      ​@@texican512 it's for the people ectomorph body type, hope uk, those with very high metabolism, which struggle to put on muscle and fat both, their body can't make fat and thats why they struggle to gain muscle even if they train, because their body doesn't have fat stores to provide energy for recovery of muscles

    Agree completely! I've done this myself and have learned the hard (painful) way that it's not really worth it, gains or not.
    That said, there's a RIGHT way to "eat dirty" WHILST bulking... and get away with it. Carb and protein cycling.
    The way to get away with eating dirty during a bulk is two part really:
    1) just don't smash the calories too hard, every SINGLE DAY... have "low cal" days > crucial part of carb cycling
    2) also, make sure to TIME your nutrient intake (nutrient TIMING, key part of body recomping/building mass whilst minimising FAT gain...) as CLOSE as possible to when you LIFT hard, either immediately before OR after, ideally AFTER so that your muscles are SOAKING up those extra (if dirty bulking, then mostly high SUGAR but maybe some sat fats from dairy if ice cream is involved?) calories after you've both broken down the tissues plus released a ton of endogenous IGF-1.
    That SAID... really, genetics and body type have A LOT to do with it. If you have a fast metabolism, you most likely will take WAY longer to get fatter anyway. But having a fast metabolism ALSO means it'll take LONGER for your body to actually gain FAT than it will for you to feel the effects of too much sugar ie sugar headaches/sluggish energy levels etc
    Carb cycle your "cheat meals", nutrient time your naughty foods as close as possible to hard lifting, should be less of an issue. And overall, always consider your own body type and metabolism.

Thing.he was in his best and active shape and state before bulking like a beast.I think this msg should be conveyed to all that for generally most of the public only want to stay fit and look well shaped in clothes , very few are into bodybuilding so bulking like beastie not mandatory.thanks for an honest review about urself.

    For most people yes. There are exceptions. I work as a labourer for bricklayers. I was 84kg. The extra phisical work brought me down to 79kg. I now have to drink 2 leters of milkshake plus 4 meals a day to maintain 80kg. If your burning seriouse calories and got a naturaly lean phisique you can dirty bulk. It might actualy be the only realistic way of puting on mass. Calorie dense foods.

    Not necessarily.
    While you are on dirty bulking make sure to eat less fast food/ from restaurants.
    Set your weight goal.
    Don't go over 3-4 months.
    Then move back to shredding.

    I'll always dirty bulk for muscle gains. Being very meticulate about everything is for true blue bodybuilding, but I still like beer, burgers, and steak, that adds a cushion to my body, and a weight vest i can fast off in time for summer.

    Dirty bulking has its place. If you are a hard gainer with a high metabolism and you just can’t handle eating 4-5000 calories of healthy proteins and foods then do what you need to hit your macros.
    If that’s 3 double cheeseburgers a day and a gallon of ice cream that is fine but remember you have to put in that extra work to make up for it.
    Typical full workout is around 13-1700 calories burned depending on intensity. If you dirty bulk, you need to crank up that intensity to match your excess calories and carbs.

      Bruhhhhh u dont burn anywhere near that number from a workout, your body burns the most calories through basic bodily functions in a 24hr period which is for example a 60kg guy would burn 1600-1800 calories at rest, google karo bhai BMR kya hota hai. Lifting can burn from 150-400 calories max and cardio upwards of that. If u run for an hour u'll burn max 600 cals.

    I have never dirty bulked. I always eat a healthy diet of chicken, eggs, fruit, veg, dairy, nuts and wheat aiming for 3000 calorie a day, but I still put on fat everytime I bulk. It is disheartening because it makes me start cutting again to get rid of the fat and start bulking again at a smaller calorie surplus. Same thing happens I put on fat again. I think putting on fat is unavoidable during bulking.

    As an ifbb elite pro bodybuilder i will say dirty bulking is a waste of ur money, time and also harmful for ur health . Its always better to gain lean mass with minimum amount of fats so while u shred u dnt loose much of ur muscles.

    Dirty bulking makes you stronger and your gym lifts will go up. So powerlifting is your aim go for it. But problem is that you look terrible without shirt also you feel lethargic.

    Full on dirty bulking is terrible. Most of the weight is fat and when you eventually start cutting you're gonna want to get back to how you were before so lose weight aggressively and end up losing most of the muscle. I'm bulking on 3.3k calories rn and I'd say around 1000 of those are what what you'd consider unhealthy the rest is clean so i don't have the urge to binge

    I started my bulk with Punjabi style samosas. It’s sort of a dirty bulk, but I’m still eating enough protein. I love desi food, and I have to stay away from it in general because I can’t stop eating it once I start. It’s that good.

    Guy pro tip do heavy ass bulk for a winter ie 5 months min then do a recomposition in which just keep the diet mostly same just decrease the amount of carbs drastically and increase fats to max and proteins practice intermediate fasting and do 10 min cardio post workout do this for 8 months straight voila you’ll have your dream physique which is strong as fuck and decently aesthetic

    Well what if i have to dirty bulk? Ive been trying to bulk up since i was 16 and im currently about to turn 22. Ive never been able to bulk up unless it was a dirty bulk. I have a small frame and its super easy for me to lose weight but it took me 1 year to gain 15 pounds on a dirty bulk. If i try a clean bulk it seems like i look a lot let juicy and bulbous. Im only 140 lbs after my dirty bulk and i stg i eat enough food to feed a family of 4.

    Dirty bulk does increase strength a lot. But it is even more harder to lose all that fat you gained. Better to gain muscles slowly with as little fat gain as possible.

      It’s not harder to lose the weight after a dirty bulk. Just get into a caloric deficit and walk more. It’ll all be off in 2 months if you have cutted in the past.

    Dirty bulking is not for beginners & gym freak guys but for professionals. It has to be understand 1st. During bulking you have to consume calorie slowly by increasing the limit. You can also die if you donot hv idea clearly.

    Bad advice from experience saying it dirty bulking is good untill you have the goal of what u want to do a proper dirty bulk with the cutting muscle memory will give u a best shape of ur life after u start cutting

    Main nay Calisthenics ko combine kiya apni weight training main or us ka bohat benefit hua mujhay Metal or physical health main. Ab itni cutting hay body par kay yaqeen nahi ata, clothes main main normal lagta hoon. Bulky muscles useless hotay hain speed kam ho jati hay ap ki or ap ko 120 pound wala MMA fighter bhi ap ki pitai laga sakta hay ap ka to 2 min main tina sans phool jaye ga kay ap waisay hi unconcious ho jao gay.
