I too grew up in northern Indiana. I recall in high school driving into Chicago to see Beatlemania tribute band. I was amazed how they even looked so much like the Beatles.
I'm a big Beatles fan- they're perhaps my second favorite band after the Grateful Dead- but am not too familiar with Beatles tribute bands. HOWEVER- when I first heard The Analogues (from the Netherlands) online a couple years ago, I was blown away by what they were doing- especially the quality of their instrumentation on the later Beatles albums (AFAIK they don't really do the early stuff, but I could be wrong). Anyone interested in Beatles tribute bands should check them out. They don't wear the costumes, but musically- WOW!! A must-hear. (I should also note that often they don't nail the individual vocals quite like some of their 'competitors' in terms of verisimilitude, but IMO the particular strengths that they do bring to this 'genre' are unmatched.)
@@SafeAndSoundTXAudioExcursion Definitely please do, particularly youtube videos of them performing whole albums live- the complete ensemble effect on recordings like Sgt Peppers is pretty awesome IMO.
Great Video David. Thanks for sharing. Looks like this is a great tribute band of the Beatles.
