I bet the anticipation of getting this record is probably keeping that VC member awake tonight 🙂 There's nothing like waiting for that special moment where it all comes together. I'm hoping that eventually I'll be listening through my McIntosh equipment with hopefully the AR3 speakers and Warfedale speakers after having all the equipment looked at and/or gone through. What's slowing me down now is just how much this is going to cost. And I don't even know yet haha. But I'm excited for when that day comes. I know it be a while still but I also know that eventually I'll be able to get it done also. And I know the VC member you're helping out is going to be happy and reaching that A of enjoyment very soon too 👍👍 I'm excited for them! That's really cool that you're able to help them out David and share in that excitement. It always makes one's hobbies and passions that much better when they have others they can share it with like the members in the VC. I'm looking forward to seeing the update video on this story. This was a very inspiring film. This is a huge part of what this “hobby” is all about. The joy of finally getting a grail album, and then enjoying the sound. I feel happy for this VC member. Was it his hifi system we saw or yours David?. It looked very high end.
As I type this, your video was published 17 hours ago. While watching this I went to Discogs, there’s a listed as M/(NM or M) sealed copy for sale by, you guessed it … ‘Waxtraxdenver’. Wow, they must have a stash 😮. FYI, I’ve gone nuts over particular hunts as well; I’m the proud (or dumb 😅) owner of a Nimbus Supercut Breakfast in America! Will never regret the purchase! 👍
@@saford13 yes, believe it or not, they had 2 copies for sale actually which I found out from them as the listing remained after I bought the one in the video! I desire several Nimbus pressing as well, including Sgt Peppers!
I actually just took possession of a sealed Rickie Lee Jones Nimbus Supercut. I was scared a little for that one, shipped from England. But arrived ‘as new’ sealed a few days ago 🍻 Love the channel, keep it up! 👍@@SafeAndSoundTXAudioExcursion
Does this UHQR version have the locked groove ending after the last track on side 2? The original U.K release had this as well as the 50the anniversary remix.
Taking the shrink off reminds me of the drop of value of a brand new car when you drive it off the lot. 😂 Don’t get me wrong. I play all my albums. Don’t let any just sit in the shrink. I don’t plan on reselling.
I had to cringe when I watched you open that UHQR. Another sealed copy that doesn't exist (haha). I bought that album when it was first released. Please don't get upset when I tell you that even though it was a $50 record I bought it from my local Tech HiFi store (long defunct) for only $37! I made a copy on my Nakamichi cassette deck the first time I played it. I've used the record to audition speakers numerous times over the years.
I bought many UHQRs for $50 so I remember it well, I too bought mine from a tech store but somehow I never saw Peppers come out! Maybe it didn’t make it to Houston or I was distracted with women. :)
What causes grown men to spend 700 dollars on one record you ask??? That’s the 1000 dollar question!!! Just my humble opinion but I don’t think any record is worth 600-700 dollars!!
@@davepounds8924 fair enough Dave! There are very few titles that would ever deserve such a payout for sure. Fortunately most retain their value to a large degree so it can net out to be a few hundred dollar auditory joy ride if one needs the cash :)
Many thanks, love watching the cleaner 😁 one slot is perfect

The value in this one is the awesome sound.
