    I am a believer in this workout now. I admit I was dubious that I'd even break a sweat in an 8 minute workout, but...yeah it's pretty nasty. After a 10min warmup I took Nate's advice and started the tabata at a super comfortable 6.4mph and 7% incline, thinking I would be bumping it up after a couple of rounds. My glutes, quads, calves, and hip flexors were sure feeling it last night and this morning.
    Proof that to be nasty a workout doesn't have to be long and dirty.

    Thank you - I actually was wondering what the best way to do it would be on a treadmill. And this video hit it right on the nail.

    These are great...I'm glad my friend turned me on to them! How would I incorporate this into a marathon plan? Leading up to the 12 week training? Or instead of a recovery run, do this workout?

    I like a tabata workout - how often can these be done? Once a week? maybe 4 min x how many sets?

    I just ran a PB 10km race (56:32) that I've been training for since January. A friend has now convinced me to sign up for a mountain trail race of 13km with 2300ft of elevation change. I have less than 5 weeks to train for this. Obviously hill training is my priority as I know I can go the distance. Any other advice? Love your videos. So much good information to absorb!

    How do wallsits compare to hills? And or can you speak on wallsits general and how they play into running/racing ability?..... Merci

    I do 5x of 3min each run in the treadmill, running at probably 90% of my max speed (2min recovery in btw), do you think 3min its too much?

    Hi, if I'm training for my first marathon, how many times a week should I include this work out to my training routine? thanks

    • @TheRunExperience
      @TheRunExperience  7 років тому

      As long as you're alternating it with other types of training (short, long, fast and slower runs, drills, strength work, etc) you can include this 1-2 times per week.

    sir can we reduce the back fat and love handles by running??

    • @Phuckyoshitkid
      @Phuckyoshitkid 7 років тому +5

      kshitiz sancheti it will help, but your diet is mostly what will help. Some people accumulate fat in one place more than in other areas. If you run a couple of minutes a day and keep a good diet you should be good to go. Don't forget though food is fuel.

    so this workout is just 8minutes right.. how would u suggest to do this workout..once a week? and how many sets ? is it just one set is enough for a session.. ;)

    • @TheRunExperience
      @TheRunExperience  7 років тому +2

      You could do this 1-2 times a week maybe in combination with a longer workout at some other time during the day. Practicing suffering for 8 mins is definitely beneficial, even just once a week!

    I've got to shave 2 minutes off my run in order to graduate the police academy. I'm 38 and need to finish 1.5 miles in 15 minutes

    • @Jc3intelligent
      @Jc3intelligent 5 років тому

      This helps. I had to cut mine down to under 13 for the academy. One thing that helps on treadmills is practicing your stride. 7mph, 9mph, 11mph are my usual runs. Basically the point is to stay close to the same cadence but stride out. I also did this exact workout at 12 incline 6.5mph at the academy. Killed me.
      Hope this helps.

    What brand/model is the treadmill?

    • @TheRunExperience
      @TheRunExperience  7 років тому

      We were visiting a local gym and didn't grab the model name unfortunately! Here's a good guide to picking the right one though: www.ebay.com/gds/The-Ultimate-Treadmill-Buying-Guide-/10000000177627773/g.html

    Most of the treadmills in my gym are set to Kilometres, what pace in kilometres should I be setting it to if my run pace is 7/7.5 miles per minute & training around 8.5/ 9 miles per minute?

    • @malcym3394
      @malcym3394 7 років тому +1

      Gavin Billington divide km/h by 8, then multiply the result by 5. That gives more or less you mph

    • @malcym3394
      @malcym3394 7 років тому +1

      for mph to km/h, divide mph by 5 and multiply by 8

    • @TheRunExperience
      @TheRunExperience  7 років тому

      7.5 miles per hour translates to about 12 kilometres per hour. Hope this helps!
