I would need some nice Lay's potato chips with that yummy Sandwich! I could certainly stay at that awesome spot 5 Days! Thanks for sharing, I'm grounded for a few months while my best friend has chemo. When she is well, then I will begin Again! 🐙
Your videos are such a welcome break from my hectic life right now. We should be able to do something similar next year and your videos give us hope. Thank you so much Brian!
That looks like a great spot - I'll have to remember to stop on by when I head out for my own van adventure! Thanks for your video - I always enjoy them...
Great and outstanding video, Brian! My Dad used to take us out to middle of nowhere to see old buildings like the one in this vid. He would tell us that 'If nobody see's them they just fall down'. Now they are really rare! Dad was right, again.
I really like your videos, the only problem is it's 3:30 in the morning and now I'm hungry after watching you eat that sandwich LOL, thanks for sharing your journey
I'm not sure what it is, but I always look forward to your cooking portions of your videos. Even when you make something simple like this tuna sandwich, haha. It's cool that you include it in with a good majority of your videos as well. Thanks for sharing, and looking forward to your continued journey!
Hey Brian cool video man I've been keeping up with you from your start and I like your style you make me want to take the dive and go travel around in a van just seems like a better way of life. The drone vid was great keep it up man be inspired.
You are a good cook. I always get hungry watching you cook up your dinner even if it's a fairly simple meal. I think you should have your own tv cooking show. You could call it "Van Cooking with Brian" or something like that. I'm sure some of your creative subscribers could help you with a witty name. Love the views from the drone.
Brian, I was happy to see you get lost because of your gps. Personally I don't like using a gps to travel because if we always know where we are going in life, it takes away the unknown aspect which is a prime ingredient for adventure. Many times being lost opens up new adventures, or allows us to see things which we might never have seen otherwise. So by all means get lost now and then. This video put some of the adventure back in the Adventurevanman channel. Thank you!
Good advice MrBr549. I was on my way back to Las Vegas from Reno and because of missing a tiny road sign in a small podunk town, I wound up in California about an hour out of the way, and another hour back. Stupid me, I was depending on my cell phone instead of looking at the map! And of course, there was no cell signal to tell me the error of my ways. Always, always look at a map first. Even WAZE takes me off on the wrong roads about town.
I love exploring to find boondocking spots, but I would've gotten stuck with my rig...Brian, this video was exceptionally well done, the drone shot and then then the sunset. So enjoyable to watch. Happy camping!
another well done video - enjoyed it very much - someday i hope to hit the road but i do have some apprehension about security in some of these remote camping spots
Hey Brian, so glad to see you enjoying your journey,FYI for better maps than your atlas provides as you enter a state stop at welcome center and grab a free state map,fro even better detail if you want county maps stop in and see the folks at the chamber of commerce,if your real nice to them they might share the location of their favorite swimming hole.happy trails to you. 😇. 🚆. 👋😎
Getting better with that drone man and your timing with the music when you switched driving scenes was perfect. Thumbs up on the great camping spots bro.
Heya ITM13! Just discovered you earlier this week! Great channel ya got. Looking forward to more of your work. AdventureVanMan is a great inspiration if you're into van living.
Next time you take a turn down the wrong road, pop the drone up in the air to get some aerial footage of where you are before turning around and going back. Looked like a pretty cool spot you accidentally discovered.
Hey Brian!! I went through the same "wrong turn" issue a few monhs ago with my GPS up in northern Vermont. I would need a four wheel drive truck, and an axe to get through the woods to get to our destignation! Take Care!
going down the dirt road kinda cool, even though it was the wrong way. GPS does that a lot. beautiful new camp ground all to yourself. how do you get the Ariel view of your van and camp area?
I'm such a city girl. Grass has spiders. Give me concrete and a near by Starbucks. Lol. My van is so far from stealth. So my cover is blown for urban boondocking! I've been thinking of a replacement van. I'm just used to the 6.5' ceilings. Lol
You mean Gluten-Free Starbucks, right, lol:) Not sure if you saw my response on your site that the Canyon Bakehouse good bread items might be at your local Target...I am gonna check for your yummy GF sourdough tomorrow at my local Whole Foods to use on a nice chicken salad sandwich~Never watch Brian videos at bedtime or will get the munchies:) Looking forward to watching you start the van life, although that motor home is looking mighty comfy, also!!!
For some reason I went to see if that lake was polluted. Do you look it up before you jump in? Lots of farming and industrial waste can pollute a lake and 40% of lakes are polluted. I'll be heading out on the road so I'm just trying to learn all that I can before. Love your videos.
Yeah, I had my gps system do something similar on my last trip. I got to an intersection and it said to go left. The actual location was like a mile to the right. I didn't realize this though so I went left. It had me go 7 MILES down that road and then take another turn. Then it took me through these gravel roads that literally was nothing but a circle back to the main road I just turned off of... at the same spot even. Then it said go right... which then took me the 7 miles back where I just drove from... then to the final destination. The funny part was that the entire time I was telling myself that this didn't seem like the right way to go. However, who am I to question gps? lol
I kept having to clean my computer screen... it seemed to have specks all over it... oh wait, there not budging! HA, they're on his windshield!!!! Hahahaha
Hey Brian. Do you run your fridge off 12v or inverter. I bought one and right now, its hooked up to my inverter because I don't know much about hooking a 12v system up in my minivan. How does your system work.
last question...okay, so i went out side and looked at that and i am trying to visualize that. did you remove the cigarette end of the wire and then put the positive and negative wires to your battery or is there a part that you bought.
I hook my CF-18 to the directly to my auxiliary battery with a NOCO GC018 12V Plug Socket with Eyelet Terminal that has a 15 amp spade fuse built it using the CF18 lighter socket that has a 10 amp fuse also. For the rest of my needs I go off the solar (50watt portable panel) controller (10a) via a SMAKN® 12V 5A Female Car Cigar Cigarette Lighter Socket Plug Connector Adapter to a Wagan 4-Way 12V Automotive Socket Extender which has a built in 10 am fuse. These are all available via Amazon by using the Adventure mans link.
You hook the NOCO GC018 12V Plug Socket with Eyelet Terminal to the battery the end is a female cig lighter socket and plug the male end of the frig cord into that. I don't want to remove the male cig lighter plug from my fridge cord so I can relocate it to the cab of my truck (I have a pickup w/a camper top) to run the frig off my starting battery on days I am traveling for the free electric and access to a cold one while I am driving.
I have a friend who always puts diced apple in her tuna. Maybe you might want to try it. I'd be interested to know about the bugs there. Did they eat you alive?
oddly, i was thinking something similar.. not so much ridiculous but more along the lines of 'there is a guy that doesn't get hung up on his goofy looking sunglasses'! KUDOS!
This might take some of the adventure away but couldn't you use google maps with satellite view to see the topology of the map to see if there is a lake or not with the satellite photos and where these dirt roads lead?
Your sandwich looks awesome. I love the drone footage. Thanks you for sharing your experience with us.
Wendy ☺☺☺☺☺☺💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Hey Brian. Good video. the drone adds a new dimension. Very cool. Do you have stickers for sale?
I would need some nice Lay's potato chips with that yummy Sandwich! I could certainly stay at that awesome spot 5 Days! Thanks for sharing, I'm grounded for a few months while my best friend has chemo. When she is well, then I will begin Again! 🐙

Another outstanding video, loving the drone footage and the sunset at the end was stunning!
Great and outstanding video, Brian! My Dad used to take us out to middle of nowhere to see old buildings like the one in this vid. He would tell us that 'If nobody see's them they just fall down'. Now they are really rare! Dad was right, again.

Someone has a fun new toy! Great arial shots :) Enjoy your time there!
Love those helidrone shots. One of these days you should put out an hour long video. Kinda like a mini documentary of your travels.
I'm not sure what it is, but I always look forward to your cooking portions of your videos. Even when you make something simple like this tuna sandwich, haha. It's cool that you include it in with a good majority of your videos as well. Thanks for sharing, and looking forward to your continued journey!
Brian you make this lifestyle seem so easy. And even if it isn't always easy, you sure make it look like fun. Great video 🚐 😎 👍🏽

Tuna salad is a great go to meal. I put in chopped walnuts, some raisins, and splash of red wine vinegar.
That sounds Awesome! Guess what I'm making for lunch tomorrow? LOL!
Does sound tasty here at Midnight in So Calif~
Although would have to go with sweet pickles over the raisins, along with some good mustard!
That sounds awesome on toasted bread!
+Jeff Stein
YES, for sure, and have to go with toasted sourdough...Great, it is Midnight again here and now craving chicken salad~Thanks a lot, lol:)
Holly Fisher
I love exploring to find boondocking spots, but I would've gotten stuck with my rig...Brian, this video was exceptionally well done, the drone shot and then then the sunset. So enjoyable to watch. Happy camping!
It's amazing these places you go to and there's no one there that's the life.
Another awesome video. I love seeing that back country.
I appreciate the "well-rounded" videos that you put out! Never boring! Thanks! Happy Trails :)

Catching up on an oldie. Nice.

Looks like you've got it. Find what is successful and copy it. When we met in Quatzsite I said, "I like his videos" Your's are much better lately.
Hello Brian, love your positive attitude. Brett and Julia
Excellent!
Nice clean lake. Looks relaxing. Love the drone video.
Awesome Spot!

Thanks for sharing Brain
What a great spot!
Thumbs up ! ... ... ENJOY....THE SIMPLE LIFE
I have never tried Old Bay in my tuna salad. I will have to check it out now! Looks like a perfect camp site. Enjoy!
You and your camera work have evolved into something amazing. It has been a pleasure to watch. Plus very informative! Thank you!
I agree! that was awesome!
that's a sweet spot
Great camping spot brian, hey a mountain bike would come in handy for scouting on roads like that one, better than getting stuck in the mud😀
🦋
amazing campsite! that drone and lake footage was awesome!
Heya ITM13! Just discovered you earlier this week! Great channel ya got. Looking forward to more of your work. AdventureVanMan is a great inspiration if you're into van living.

I want a bite of that tuna sandwich...yum!
Looks like Kansas country roads, but the only lakes here are reservoirs. You forgot a few thin slices of roma tomato!
I love the new branding! that intro really grabbed my attention
I'd think an awning of some sort would be pretty good to go with the van to let you sit outside in shade. Looks like good place.
Vault toilet with bullet holes in the door! Made me laugh.
I'm always bummed when your video ends I want them to be longer :)
where you can swim in the lakes !!!! I can't even imagine that living in lovely California .
Hey Brian!! I went through the same "wrong turn" issue a few monhs ago with my GPS up in northern Vermont. I would need a four wheel drive truck, and an axe to get through the woods to get to our destignation! Take Care!
The whole lake to yourself--THAT IS RICH !!
when ever you get lost like that again, take out your drone and fly to see where the lake is
going down the dirt road kinda cool, even though it was the wrong way.
Lol

You just needed a couple tomato slices on that sandwich and you would have been golden lol. Janice
Hey Brian. When did you buy the drone?! Wonder if I missed watching any of your earlier videos!!
Sandwich looks jus right .
needs an egg !
For some reason I went to see if that lake was polluted. Do you look it up before you jump in? Lots of farming and industrial waste can pollute a lake and 40% of lakes are polluted. I'll be heading out on the road so I'm just trying to learn all that I can before. Love your videos.
looks like a great camping spot! was the firewood scarce?
Been rving. This is the fourth night in a parking lot and I'm scared. I don't know how you aren't scared at lakes by yourself.

Hey Brian. Do you run your fridge off 12v or inverter. I bought one and right now, its hooked up to my inverter because I don't know much about hooking a 12v system up in my minivan. How does your system work.
+My Life On Wheels My fridge is 12volt only so it is hooked directly to my batteries. My batteries are charged my my solar panels.

Hi Larry. Thanks man. This is certainly helpful and I now have a better understanding of what to do. Appreciate it.
I just saw in Comments it a drone. ;)
I have a friend who always puts diced apple in her tuna. Maybe you might want to try it. I'd be interested to know about the bugs there. Did they eat you alive?
Couldn't you use your drone to "see" ahead?
Use satellite view to find the lake / road!
Awesome idea. :)
Adventure Vanman, back on the road.~ Back in his element in the on the go abode! Eh I tried.
You should take the glasses off they look(in my opinion)ridiculous, sun didn't seem out with all those clouds
+Gregory Adkins Thanks what Im going for. Life is to short to not be ridiculous 😄👍✌
oddly, i was thinking something similar.. not so much ridiculous but more along the lines of 'there is a guy that doesn't get hung up on his goofy looking sunglasses'! KUDOS!
+AdventureVanMan lol
Ridiculous or not.... I think sunglasses are "necessary" if you're outside 😅
+AdventureVanMan I agree! 😄
love the videos...keep sticking it to the man.eat your hearts out you 9 to fivers
Brian fly the drone slower for video shots.
This might take some of the adventure away but couldn't you use google maps with satellite view to see the topology of the map to see if there is a lake or not with the satellite photos and where these dirt roads lead?
I'm still hanging around bozeman mt were yah at bro
+Greg Hinze I will be heading through Montanta but not till Sept. Im in Black Hills NF now. 👍✌
Hey Brian, was that Old Bay seasoning you put in your tuna salad?
Yea
