Gulp baits are notorious for drying out if not sealed right, good advice to combat the problem! Again congrats on another nice outing to lake Gregory and specifically with Fam. 🤙🏽
Good video, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to your video at Silverwood Lake. Get out to Mojave Narrows Regional Park and tag into the March Trout Derby there. Tight Lines!
It really depends on the location. For the most part you'll be okay, but there are a lot of areas that are covered in rocks along the bottom and you will get stuck. It's beneficial to use a full water bobber so it sinks you won't get stuck. If the wind is blowing I would just stick with egg weights...
Hard to say. There's been rumors that fish and game is using private plant vendors to do their plants. Could be the case or could have been a private plant finally aside from the fish and game plant?. At least they're getting fish no matter what the source is though
My buddy and I were there on Wednesday and limited in one hour. All the fish were healthy 1 to 2 pounders. Nice fighters with several that went acrobatic when hooked.
They could always resume, but if you go back and look at their post on stocking since they took the account... it's down to nearly nothing now compared to when they first started. Likely they'll just move on and someone else will take the account. We'll see!
Do you still have to buy a fishing permit since private stocks aren’t happening? Crazy how a large number of lakes the state is stocking requires an additional fishing permit.
@@Edwardcruzz13 I wouldn't say a lot of time, I still hold down a full time job, family, house hold. I just don't do anything else like video games or the gym. I fish.
i always replace the packaging with old medicine bottles so i never have to worry about it spilling

Appreciate it!
First trout you caught was very nice. Like you said a few years back Gregory put out some nice trout.
I think we all knew the concessionaire would eventually fall through. Private trout plants are so expensive.
Agreed
Nice to have a lake to yourself
It was busier in other parts of the lake, but near me that day wasn't bad.

The Lake Gregory website shows they received a Calaveras trout plant on March 18. Is that a DFW plant or private?

Does lake Gregory have trout year round? Someone please let me know!
It does
Thank you!!
Shame about the concessionaire it was good while it lasted!

Any advice where crappies would be hanging around at Gregory 😁
Deep

Yes, they are still charging the permit fees.
So just the 10 dollar fee that's it
How come they’re not planting private plants anymore?
Nobody knows, they just kept pushing things out and at some point just stopped. Maybe they will resume
Sorry, does the worm float?
Yes. They do float. They don't float as well if you're using heavier line though.
Did you not just leave bishop earlier ?
Yep. Just left 😳
@TroutWest I envy you in a good way brother lots of time on you're hands ...lol. and I'm supposed to be retired and I can't get out as I'd like...
