- Is this the ultimate 79 series Landcruiser? It is known as FULLKIT and is one of the most accessorized vehicles you will ever see!
Rocket Rod and Cameraman Craig just had to take this Customer's car for a Ride!
If you are looking to upgrade the capability, cooling or strength of your transmission come check us out automatictransmission.com.au/ - Авто та транспорт
Thank you for sharing that there's not sponsoring attached to the products you're showing. That straight shooting means alot to me and my purchases, as I know others promote brands that they may not want to use themselves.
Keep up the great work Rocket! Looking forward to more content.
I'm glad you like our approach and hope you enjoy. Regards Rocket
That auto sounds unreal. While I don’t mind a manual I think this is what the 79 needs, as much refinement as possible.
Well I must say that I..... wasn't a big 79 series fan, liked them but wouldn't own 1. after seeing this well, there's nothing I could say. I WANT 1
Fantastic rig. Well done on the review.
Incredible Build. Best 79 I have ever seen.
The mod on the axle is the most surprising and impressive mod. Your comment about it is very true about the axles. The pumpkin stays low with very little change but the axle on this vehicle is a game changer on ground clearance.
Another great episode Rod.
Love the genuine enthusiasm and excitement.
Marvellous looking rig, and seems to well suited to his needs.
With every episode I watch, the more I want the auto in my 79.
Damn you Rocket
Damn you !
lol we will have you in one sooner then you think hahaha. Regards Rocket
Jesus what a beautiful Rig 😍👍
What a vehicle, I'm in love with it. If only I had a spare 250k to build one.
I love the side steps and spotting cameras for the wheels
Yes I'd love it.
It's the best I've seen & i would love to see it in my driveway 😉.
You are so lucky just to drive it.
Keep up the good work 👍
Would have to agree, one of the best 70 series I have seen. To answer your question we are running the ARB links system in our troopy which controls air bag pressure, tire pressure and gives you ultimate control of your 12 volt accessories, it would make a great addition to this truck. Keep up the great work lads your video's are an inspiration to us all .👍👍
beautiful car. Not too many people can afford a car like that though. Think I will stick with my ranger for now, it does everything I need
Hey Rod, great video! Our 79 series is running 240kw at the rear and over 900nm torque with a tune & G-Turbo red .... Brian hated driving it before ... but now he loves the power so much it's his car now !!
What a build! Beautiful truck!
shoot all you can in terms of 4x4 no matter how new, I will always take this one home. In the end, even those who only had portals always won love it
thank you for sharing the video on well set 79
still love my Isuzu 2010 300/75 4x4 crew cab
Good video fellas, certainly a well equipped vehicle ,and from the in car camera it looked at ease driving the streets.
If only the 79 was slightly wider, imagine the room inside ,but then I suppose it would be just a 300 series.
How does something like this compare with the American trucks like Ram TRX and the Ford Raptor or even the F350 .
Great work ,and thanks to the owner for letting it be shared .
Rocky I always love your presentation. Good on you mate
Thank you kindly Chamila! Greatly appreciated
My only concern would be locating parts for the portals when you're out remotely but this has to be one of the best 79's out there.
I wish these were available in the states.
Really enjoy these episodes and keep up the great work.
That is some weapon of a car. Scott has done a cracking job there.
I agree Scott has done a brilliant job with this build.
What a monster! utter perfection!
Great one guys! What a vehicle! Makes me want to make more money🤑.
You're definitely getting better at the videos. Keep em coming! 🤠
Loved this vid, keep em coming 🤘🍻
Will do Alex and glad you like what we do. Regards Rocket
Rod that is what I call a Swiss Army knife of a weapon for on and mainly off road use .. when you want to go off grid I don’t think you will have any difficulty getting to the most remote regions… very nice … buy it !!!
I’ve got a PCOR tray and canopy. At over 25k plus I can tell you they are next level craftsmanship and been tested. Very well sealed!
How bout MITS alloy canopy?
Yes they are built very well. But I just really don’t like the shape.
You deserve this rig Rocket.
I know! lol
70k car
30 k trans
30k portals
Plus plus plus
$250k is my guess
Maybe I’d be looking at a mog for that cash! But ‘oh what a feeling’ - this car is awesome!
Just I can't see why not, they are just a satellite system. You can also do Starlink now but that would be data only, that being said you can still make calls and facetime etc with data. Not sure you would go about mounting a star link system on a boat? lol
awesome stuff boys
Great video Rocket have been following you for years mate youre doing a fantastic job. One thing, as much as the Iridium Go is advertised so you can use internet out in the bush, it unfortunately doesnt really work that way. Its really for txt and phone calls only. Connection is restricted to 2.4kbps which means loading a simple website could take anywhere from 2-5 hours. Its essentially is a SAT phone but functionality is controlled from your phone using a direct WiFi connection to the Iridium Go device from your phone via a specific app to make/receive phone calls/texts rather than having a physical handheld sat phone. If you did want internet in the wilderness your best bet would be Starlink for RV which has just been released (as long as you are in an open area no trees)! 🙂
Thanks for the Update Dudley, always great to get more detailed information and yes the Starlink program is going to be a game changer. My next door neighbour has it and it works brilliantly and we were both on rural broadband.
auto with portals super amazing, mint looking rig, got heaps of fruits in it
The auto and portals work brilliantly together, Bloody thing will go anywhere!
Love your work Rocket... How about a Troopy next on your show aye? :-)
Those rock sliders/ side steps are cool
More than cool I'm ordering a set for myself lol
It just need a shower for those real dusty and hot days. I'm stoked best build i have ever seen.
Love the whole vehicle
I would love a 6x6 landcruiser with the lot that would be epic touring
Everything between the front and the bag of the car😊
What a rig , too build something like that must be a great thrill to own,
Makes my D-Max look very lame lol 😂
Ask the owner to get jmacx radius arms /sway bar extension blocks to suit 2 inch lift on top of portals. Looks like he's running OEM radius arms, will make heaps more difference in the stability.
What a build, wow, think the only thing missing is the "flux capacitor"
thats a sweet rig just saying ... very big thumbs up
Posting from Canada. There is nothing in Canada that compares to that awesome Toyota
Photographed this vehicle in Lorne at the Pier only a few weeks ago
I love the sewer pipe exhaust system
It's still a Toyota but....ole mate did a very good job on that. NO waste, no rubbish, just pure performance in all areas. Thanks Rocket and Craig!
Have you need Andrew St Pierre-White's Dream Tourer and other builds he's done? In any case - this is a lovely rig!
Its totally awesome...
This is a beauty. Could you do a video with the HDJ79 with the auto conversion you guys posted on Facebook awhile back?
We have plenty more to come Tai.
Awesome Truck I want one
You and me both!
I would say back in black 79 all for adventure would be the best
It's just missing the new Alpine door pods & speakers!
Other than that it's pretty much top notch
It is a 2000w inverter and its s redarc manager 30.
love the 79 even in it's standard form , this one is a beast and perfect build
A few good questions have come out of the comments so after talking to the owner Scott, we can confirm that the vehicle was in fact built by Scott himself using his own personally selected accessories. While the vehicle is not a Patriot Camper (PCOR) build it does have the PCOR Canopy and tray.
Oh and the eagle eye viewers are right, it is a 2000w Redarc Inverter and Cameraman Craig needs better glasses (or to at least wear them)!!
Loving all the comments and feedback, keep them coming as we read them all!! - Cheers CC
Nice truck Rocket would like my Ford RANGER to look like your u have a power house 👍😎
I want to start a project like rhis one but left hand drive! Rodennyis that possible! we are your fans from the begining🙏🏻
More of the options are available for left hand drive.
The portal axles are awesome.
But can't even imagine the kind of money he's dropped on the whole setup 😯😟
250k minimum
PCRD? Great product knowledge Rod, haha!
I don't think its a PCRD build as it has more options but I will find out and get back tomorrow.
@@WholesaleAutomatics PCOR, as in patriot campers... I love how you compliment the build quality & craftsmanship without realising who Patriot are. Shows a good honest opinion of the product.
I love that the money come from his bank account he has got good sense because he runs nitto trail grapplers brilliant tyres 👍🍻🍺
Hey Rocket where is the list of all the mods you were going to put up, I’m interested in how much a build like this would cost as I’m thinking of getting one done.this the best 79 I’ve seen.👍🏾
Why can’t Toyota do this factory or close just the interior instead of the old school which is so uncomfortable.had to put extra 25-30I to make it look and preform good. Awesome video rocket
The portals give a GVM upgrade
PCRD..... LOL, NICE ONE ROCKET!!!
lol I didn't have my glasses on hahaha
The portals are my favorite mod. Want to do them bad on my 80 series.
Us short people like the seats up high LOL
Have them mirrors Rod and l love the. Much better in tight spots
Modify/strengthen the Clearview steps to be rock sliders as well. They look a bit delicate compared to where the rest of the vehicle is capable of going. Not much else to do when you've got everything else and then some!!
They were a solid bit of kit, I'm so impressed I'm ordering a set for my own 79 series. Regards Rocket.
With the extra height from the portals, I doubt they'd hit many things.
Hi Boys what a 4x4 ! There wouldn't be much more you could put on ...see the size of the towbar with the 6" lift. Arrrh what would be the chance he would swap with your 79.... yours has so much more character? Enjoyed the vid.
Thanks for Ian and We hope to have my 79 series back on the road soon. Regards Rocket
Question here why does it still have the alligator clamps on one side of the battery instead of an eyelet or something that can pop off on a good bounce?
Yeah like portals and the front cameras.
Portals are the best wish I could afford them for my 4x4
The portal axles are incredible. would love to do something like that with my Tacoma but 14,000 US is a steep price to pay.
Try around $30k in Oz
Australian money is about half of an American dollar (its actually. 42cents) so 30k is about 14k U.S
Hello there my name is Pete and I own a jeep Wrangler sport 2018.
My wife and I love our jeep and we have had the car from New.
I would like to know what you would recommend is the best Diff locker you would recommend for my car .as it has none.
Damn that’s definitely over 250k that’s crazy
Be 300k I recon 😅
You'll find they're the itechworld 120x lithium batteries. They're a very good middle of the market battery and gear. They're not cheap but not expensive as well.
@Ray Johnson why make it your self if you don't know how and it comes with a warrenty... Also who has the time and if you got the $$$ for a 79 like that you don't make stuff you self you buy it/pay someone to make it...
@Corey Dark. Nah mate they’re the Revolution lithium batteries $2k a piece
@Ray Johnson why would he do it, when he has got money. It doesn't make sense.
Epic rig Rod, Can you ask the owner how does he grease the top bush on the left rear leaf shackle? The one next to the exhaust. It is too close to the grease nipple. I have the same problem.
I put a 90deg grease nipple in. That fixed the problem
With good modified the car is, he probably pays someone else to worry about that lol
Sorry Rod, just seen the car for the first time. But it’s not for sale for any money but good luck.
Are clearview made in Australia? If not why not.
I want to know about the 6" lift in the axels!!! love the video!
Essentially there is a 6inch drop box on the end of each axle that lifts the whole vehicle including diff housings, chassis and suspension 6 inch further off the ground. You can also do a suspension lift although I don't recommend this as for one you wont really need it and secondly we don't wont to list the centre if gravity any higher.
Why does the people don't use that mucho this methoth looks like it work preatty well?
Thanks for anwser!!!
Nice car boys be prepared to lay down a couple hundred grand lol or u could buy a f truck heaps of grunt clearance etc beast.
Can you get a Iridium Wifi for a boat ?
you havent seen mates brothers portal axle 79.
I love the whole thing my lotto car
Man I wish Canada and the rest of North America could get Land Cruisers. We just get weak a$$ SUV's
Rocket. You would have driven my 2015 extended Jmac 4.5t, when it was in there 3 months ago. How did the ride compare?
Mine has some compromises as it doubles as a Farm Ute, Then carries a Tommy Camper when touring. So most of the flashy electrics are installed in it.
Everyone who drives mine comments on how well it handles and so smooth. On and off-road (For a 79). Still can't turn for Sh...
Without doing them back to back it wouldn't be fair to compare. This one road very well as it was only 3,750 GVM upgrade and had plenty of weight to make the rear work very smoothly.
This vehicle would be at least $400,000 AUD
Get Rocket a napkin to wipe up the drool!! 😂. Awesome vehicle but would hate to know how much he has spent on it. My guess is $200k plus???
It would have to be $200K but what a car to use for your retirement. I'm in love lol
the only concern i have about the steps.. if you are bogged in and you want to open your door to get out and there is no room for the steps to come out will they remain where they are or still try to come out if so how will this effect the steps deploying????
Ohhhhh what a brilliant question! I will get back to you within the next two weeks and I will ask the techs for info. They are away at the moment so I just need to wait a little. Love the question Adam. Regards Rocket
Great video but he did miss a couple of things like room for an electric wheelchair and a lowering swivel seat
Not sure I follow what you mean?
@@WholesaleAutomatics well first one self explanatory the second is a seat that electrically turns then slides out and then lowers down to a position so a paraplegic can then be put on the seat so they can be put in a vehicle without someone needing to lift them in

Portal come to my mind as favorit modds
Would there be room if it was a 2 door so you can sleep in the truck? Portals and rear springs.
That would be my dream vehicle. Two door on portals, with coil and 6 speed auto etc.
@@WholesaleAutomatics If you could buy me one I will test it for you. Could you fill the tank for me please?
Why have a 400k porsche cayenne when u can have this? As a Troopy owner that spent half that, have to say if I was to do it again it would be a chopped 200, starting with a much better truck than a 70. My troopy is a whole of life truck, given the direction vehicles are heading, and this year buying a spare engine just in case. Also love my jeeps so my daily is a mod'd grand with the merc diesel, tuned to approx 210 and 700 (love the boxy styling of that gen and that pple assume its slow), that is a hoot around town and on gravel. New project is a 22 stinger with a replacement computer from the US for 350 and 650 which should get along well, for the Mrs who's a bigger lead foot than me. Ill just keep working to pay for it all.
the only thing that takes my interest is the iridium wireless system. for me the rest is just same ol same ol. just the iridium.
You should have mentioned that the Iridium Satellite internet is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE to use. No way in hell would you allow a whole camp of people to use it, especially for FB or YT. The better option is the Starlink system. I use Iridium phones for emergency and even just the phone calls are expensive.
Yes you are correct but this new Star link program is brilliant. Not quite there for northern States but will be by this time next year. www.starlink.com/rv
I have been a subscriber for awhile and I really enjoy your content, the bonfire at the farm was awesome! But I have to question the Australian authorities. As long as you have a qualified shop doing the work, why can't you have portal axles and some other modifications installed after the vehicle is registered?
Stupidity is the correct answer. If the changes are made before first registered a company can apply to become a second stage manufacture and if successful make application to make very specific modifications to the vehicle under federal law. This becomes part of the vehicles second stage manufacturing standards. However once registered then any changes made after first registration need to be recognized by the state that the vehicle is currently registered in. This is where it gets interesting as the state and federal bodies don't necessarily share the same views or standards and the state has the right to deny requests for the exact same upgrade. Yes, I know we live in the great land of government stupidity. I'm sure someone else might have more information to share on this but this is my very basic overview of the situation.
@@WholesaleAutomatics The lack of consistency is frustrating and although we now have a standardised system across heavy vehicles, and a national register of heavy vehicle modifications, the same has not yet happened for light duty vehicles. We do need a national register for light duty vehicles, as well as a mechanism for approved workshops to undertake work and for someone in that workshop to sign off on that work as an authorised representative in the same way second state manufacturers can.
Prior to retiring a good part of my role was to provide engineering evidence to our courts when things didn't go well in certain circumstances. Sadly, not all workshops are created equal and although your outfit and others like it do top quality work, I have had to give evidence in many cases where the work in question was, at best, poor - at worst, negligent to the point of causing serious injury or death. I love your work and fully support the introduction of some sort of mechanism to authorise workshops like yours to undertake approved modifications, but conversely there has to be a limit to stop 'backyard cowboys' from doing dangerous knucklehead stuff.
I've seen too much evidence (as late as the last seven days) of the cowboy element being well and truly amongst us - even going so far as to showcase illegal modifications on UA-cam. One well-known 4WD UA-camr has even commented about going down the path they did, then highlighting it online. It isn't just me that pays attention to it. Until this sort of stuff is nipped in the bud, it's really hard to get traction for a national register for light duty vehicles. It's the usual story, a few idiots ruin it for everyone else.
920nm my 1hdt has 1000nm. Also with a gturbo
I dare say one of a kind land cruiser start to finish like that be $365,000
I wouldn't have thought that much but certainly up there.
Portal axles and auto the best parts
They work brilliantly together Jason, we hear this at least once every couple of weeks.
I’m jelly
Bugger the 70 series, show us the FJ Cruiser in the background
I almost did Andrew, I will put the next great one I see on my to do list!
@@WholesaleAutomatics Although my dream is a 70 series with portals and an auto.
