I thought that Serotonine produced in the guts has nothing to do with the serotonine in brain?

I'm not aware of a distinct biochemical difference between gut serotonin and serotonin produced by the raphe nucleus. Being the same biochemical they would both be capable of crossing the blood brain barrier.
