The only reason Argentina started falling apart, in my opinion, is similar to what happened in the Australia game. Scaloni decides to go on the defensive and make the subs to play defense and protect the lead. Argentina's best defense is possession. Not sitting in the back. As soon as Scaloni starts making substitutions around that 70th minute to go all Atletico Madrid on the pitch my heart starts dropping. This has been the consistent moment where Argentina lose the momentum, the control of the game and start playing like jittery second divisioners sitting back and just kicking the ball away they cave under pressure. If only they had kept their calm, kept possession of the ball and not abandon their offence altogether they would've had it in the bag by the normal time. Croatia's midfield is perhaps the best in the World Cup with Modric, Kovacic and Brozovic. Mixture of passing, dribbling , defensive and shooting ability. It will be a tough match but Argentina can do it.

Croatia will be a very difficult game but if Argentina can defend well and produce at least one goal in regular time, they can go through. Croatia is an amazing team but they don't have the same attacking talent as Brazil or Argentina. Neutralize that attack, get one good goal, and check the ticket to the final.
