Why are the docs speaking to Justin's mum and not to his wife? Priya seems to be pushed into the background by the mum. Mum accepts and gives permission without even consulting Priya.
I think they talked to the Mum because she was the one with the questions. The one doctor kept looking at her but Prim just looked at the Mum and didn’t say anything. Prim seemed to allow the Mum to take control. This is not any criticism to Prim but could it be a cultural problem.
Come on people, Justins mom seems like a lovely woman who loves her son and daughter in law. The poor woman is from Thailand, she doesnt understand alot of what is being discussed. They talk to the mom quicky so they can move forward with medical intervention and she can explain it all to his wife slowly so she understands
It is truly astonishing how tone deaf this mother is. No matter her relationship with her daughter-in-law, the mother should see that this young wife is terrified and is being competely pushed aside by the only other person who should be gathering her into her arms and supporting her. Justin should watch this video to see how shamefully his mother behaved when his wife needed comfort.
I will repost my comment that I left for someone else discussing Priya. I thought it was rather telling, that in the family room, she sat very far from his mom. There's no bond there, it was awkward for the two of them and they avoided eye contact so I would not be surprised if she returned to her country. In treatment room, there was no comforting or closeness between them. At the end, when they were home and he was being filmed, Priya was nowhere in sight. Sadly, I was not surprised. Mom looked really uncomfortable as she tried to be positive....no one mentioning Priya.
Exactly! I noticed this immediately. It disgusts me to see how even at times like these people can be so selfish. To be fair, we don't know what the whole story is but it's clear the daughter-in-law was thoroughly disrespected. The son needs to make it clear that his wife is now the most important woman in his life and mom needs to get used to it. It irked me to no end that the doctors were primarily speaking to the mother as well and she was the one seemingly making the decisions. I sure hope that poor wife has since learned to speak up for herself.
My son decided to get a motorcycle to save money when his second child was coming. He had a picture of his wife and little girl taped to his gas tank to remind him to be careful. He got into a crash on interstate 405 in the morning commute. I was trying to get to the hospital after the call but stuck in traffic when I heard on the radio that the last vehicle from the collision had just been removed. I thought OMG, how many cars hit him!!!!! When I went 😢 the tow yard to pick up his motorcycle, a guy from the adjoining loading dock jumped down and ran to me saying "is he alive!!?? I saw it and he wasn't moving!" I told him that my son was okay but his helmet had been broken in two. Thank you Lord for sparing my son!
I can only imagine what it’d be like to get a call saying my significant other was in a motorcycle crash. Being a volunteer firefighter I would probably look and act perfectly calm and collected, going „Right, thanks for letting me know - I will be at the hospital in approximately 20 minutes, traffic permitting, see you there. Cheers, bye“ and go there as fast as I safely can. I’ve been known to become almost machine-like and cold when bad things are happening, to the point of seeming not to care. Which couldn’t be further from the truth. I just try to focus on what I can do right now as opposed to how much of the situation I can’t change. Regardless, I will be their rock, hold their hand and hold it together when there. But would fall completely apart once I am out of the hospital. Would probably call my parents. Or a friend. Anything to not be alone. My worst nightmare is to be alerted to my parents‘ address or that of one of my brothers or my partner‘s. When I got my uniform and my other kit, I sent my mum and my partner a photo of me wearing my turnout gear and helmet in front of one of the trucks. Then told her that I hope that this picture will the only occasion that they get to see me wearing this outfit.
I think Priya was in culture shock. They did say that in the video when Justin brought her to England the first time of her life. @@NakaidaBeauzec I would rather be going 55mph in a car on a road full of motorcycles, than on a motorcycle on a road full of cars. Anyone who says motorcycles are not more dangerous than other forms of transit is being disingenuous. They are objectively more dangerous than riding in a car, flying in a plane, or even walking (no one walks on a highway).
I can say this becuse I was a professional motorcycle racer in all its forms...road racing, motocross, long track and speedway, and over the 15 years I did it, the only time I got hurt was on the rare occasion I drove on the road. So my view as a husband and dad and a survivor, is this: Riding a motorcycle on the road is the most selfish and stupid things a person can do, and it shows a terminal, self-centredness that ignores one's responsibilities as a friend, husband and father. So I am sorry to say, I have little sympathy for someone who ends up as a cripple and dependent on the care of loved ones. Its condemning them to a lifetime of servitude, and for what? Because the rider likes the buzz and freedom? Sorry. If I was her, I would say, see you later. My child needs a dad who can support us well, and do normal things. Tough? Yes. But its warranted.

They are objectively more dangerous than riding in a car, flying in a plane, or even walking (no one walks on a highway).
Why in the HELL ARE THE DOCTORS NOT TALKING TO HIS WIFE ???????????
Motorcycles is a selfish habit.
Who cares about their new limitations; Justin and Rich are super sexy!
