I haven't finished watching yet, but as a fellow artist who also has a youtube channel, I can understand the "in what direction should I go?" - and I don't have answers. I have had my channel for 10 years or so, and it was doing amazing around 2011-16 but then everything changed and now art process videos are just less watched and I'm a bit at a loss myself. So I just do what I would find interesting and have accepted I'm just not going to have as many views anymore. But I have a nice small community, and it does bring me a lot of happiness to make videos for them :) they're so supportive! As for your channel, I keep coming here mostly because of your personality. I just find you nice and I like to listen to you talk. I think there's a raw honesty that I enjoy, but you're also just really kind. It's just the right amount between sharing about your life, but not oversharing, giving tips but not being overly opinionated about it. And I like when you show vulnerability but without over-doing it. You just seem genuine and honest. At the same time, I feel like you have room to grow, so maybe I'm also just curious on where you could go. I can see you following in the steps of Sandi Hester in some ways. Maybe her videos could be a bit of an inspiration for you? I'm not sure, I find it hard myself to follow in the steps of someone else, the best is to find your own path, but it's not a guarantee of success. As for the mean comments, sadly it's part of having a youtube channel, and the more views you get, the more nastiness follows. I doubt you'll have a ton, because your channel is very much non-confrontational and non-dramatic, but some people just enjoy being mean or feel the need to share what they think of you. It's not easy, but trust me, you'll learn to ignore them. I think it's ok to be sad about it, but that sadness needs to be short-lived and you need to learn to move on. Whenever something means arrive, delete it, block it, move on. Ok, I'm going to start working on my sculptures and listen to the rest of your video now!
I totally agree . Do what comes natural to you. I love the variety of videos. It’s funny you mentioned the Holbein video, I watched half of it but I don’t use gouache paint as of yet, so I’ll come back to it when I need the info. That’s something I really like about your Chanel. Lots of info. Thanks for all your hard work.
I enjoy an actual full length tutorial. Most shorts make me crazy! I need instruction-at a regular pace. I love learning about the lives/ family of artists I follow as they talk, teach, and paint. Art hauls are fun but not all the time, and swatching is kinda boring-like literally watching paint dry! Since I can’t afford to be in Patreon for all the artists I enjoy, I really appreciate the artists who have continued to provide free instruction on a regular basis.
I try not to take it to heart but it can be hard, especially when therr are multiple ones day after day. I just don't understand people now. I would never dream of saying something hurtful to someone making videos in youtube. I'd feel awful if I hurt someone's feelings. I do t understand how they aren't eaten up with guilt. But what are you going to do, I guess? All I can do is make sure my kids grow up being taught that's never OK. I can't change anyone else... Anyway thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it!
@@winterwoodsstudioa lot of people are hurting, damaged and and angry. Their way of coping or entertaining themselves is inflicting pain on others. It’s not about you. It’s all about them. Block them while holding up your invisible shield so everything bounces off back to them. Wish them peace and healing and move on standing in your light which is so bright. We are your army of goodness standing with you.
Try not to stress so much, we all are here for different reasons. I love your sketch book videos and I've learned loads from your hair about what you try. It must be so hard for you to decide what to publish. Trust your gut, encourage communication. There will be a lot of core followers that will still be here
Hi Amy, you're an amazing artist and individual who's brave enough to share, thank you for being here!! I have a physical disability and an autoimmune disease and understand where you're coming from. Do what makes you happy!! For me regularly on YT: 20 mins or less tutorials, longer ones sometimes. Your art supplies testing/hauls are fantastic. Watercolour, sketching, drawing, ink, pencils, acrylics, pens and soft pastels are my favourite go-tos.
WTG Amy!! It’s called Healthy Boundaries, being someone who deals with mental health, I HEAR YOU!! I personally LOVE your videos and chats! Art or no art, I dig your companionship!! So thank you!! For the Record? I would love anything you provided as content, even just casual conversation, I come back for YOUR companionship, your personality, your art, your discussions, so again thank-you for anything you provided!
Could not have put it better myself!! I come back and watch all of Amy's videos for AMY whatever the content, because she is relatable and compassionate
🤣🤣🤣Oh Amy what a laugh you gave me on a particularly rough morning, with your story about squirrels!! I come to SEE YOU cos you’re lovely and real and like me when I was younger. I love how you chat and come here for that as well as seeing you do art. I think the most important thing is that you do what you really want as much as possible. You are an Artist through and through, it shines from you. I hope the comments from all of us here who come who appreciate you cos you’re you cancel out the negative folk. You’re dealing with a whole lot and deserve a break. 💕💫
At this point, I'm here for what you have to share with us. No matter what the format or topic. Most normal people, non morally bankrupt, good people feel the same. When it comes to new changes that will make money for you. I say do it. But maybe keep studio vlogs coming too! ❤
What I love. Art hauls and swatching. What you love and don’t love. Mish mash videos. Watching you create something, anything. Ignore the men who trash you as they are probably bots.
@@winterwoodsstudio I can't believe anyone would be mean to you, they must be some very sad people, but you should never tolerate it at all . I also suffer autoimmune disorders and know all too well how much of a strain it would be to do what you do. I've always loved your videos and appreciate all your efforts in creating a wonderful channel for our joy. Being unwell myself I relate to your struggles and find you particularly inspiring as I know the difficulties people like us suffer. Definitely block those negative people because seeing someone successfully creating despite the difficulties is invaluable to those of us in similar situations. We are very appreciative of all your efforts, don't listen to idiots.
I love watercolor, colored pencils, and pan pastels. My favorite channels do tutorials. I would love to see that! I am not into abstract art personally and would love to see lots of non abstract art. You seem like a sweet genuine person. I don't care if your workspace is crowded, so is mine. It comes from a love of art supplies! Don't let the people who would put you down get to you! They are not worth it!
I’m only 4 minutes in on this video and to you I say: block ‘em! This is your channel, your rules. Anyone who has time to make negative comments it’s a reflection on them, not you. Love what your’e doing Amy!! There’s no room for negativity here !
Lindsay’s Sat Chats are quite popular and I felt like this was similar to that… just a nice conversation about how the week went and what you are or have done this week or planning for next week… okay, that was a long sentence, but a 20- minute Tuesday chat similar to that would be nice.
I am a beginner, and I have enjoyed your videos on materials and how to work with them, it is really helpful. The 20 minute sketchbook was also very good. Up until now, I only saw one tutorial and it was just a little too fast for me but I intend to try again your other tutorials.. my goal is to master watercolour and mix media. Please do not let bad people influence you, they are not worth your time, just block them 😉and remember those who come back really appreciate what you are doing. Enjoy your holidays!
Nasty commenters are just awful people who like to create anger and hostility. I only watercolor but you are my favorite UA-cam channel. You’re a great artist and a real person. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your talent with us. It is much appreciated. It’s impossible to ignore bad comments however, try not to let them over shadow the joy of the activity itself. Take a deep breath and let them go. Clearly with the number of people on your list and the newcomers There are many interested in what you choose to show us.
I’m here because of you. I like your personality. I like how you include outside scenes in the beginning of your videos. You add life and art inspiration. As a baby artist I need help with the how to, but also encouragement and how to be persistent. At this point I don’t know what I don’t know. I also would like to know, how do you practice art when you don’t feel well? What are the daily things I can be doing? Thank you so much for all that you pour into your videos. ❤🎨
I watch you weekly and you are an inspiration to me. I'm hungry for an art community that shares their knowledge and cares. You are part of that community. I don't know that I can help with your goals for 2025 because I like all of the videos you post. They are informative and real. Great Job!!! Melodie
You do right! There’s no place for mean people in a place like this, we’re all for the kind peaceful artistry. You’re a lovely person and you need to protect yourself from all the negativity ❤
I enjoy your honesty & as a want a be artist my entire life (it always took a back seat) really just a creative soul, I enjoy those on u-tube who share what they have learned and spark a passion in others. It’s difficult to put your heart and soul into something and have people criticize. Those who criticize with poor intention are the ones lacking integrity and heart. You be you! I also juggle autoimmune issues as well as the majority of my family, and art and creativity provides a meditative environment.
First and foremost protect your mental health. I just got here and I’m here for all of it. You come across as a best friend with a lot of knowledge, empathy and integrity who I would love to spend time with and learn from. For 2025 go with the flow while doing what you need to do to bring in the income. I’m so excited to be here! It feels like someone just threw me a life raft. Thank you for all you do.❤
I'm new here. I am enjoying your channel very much. You have already helped me with my art supply ideas and techniques. Thank you. I'm sorry to hear about negative comments that came your way. Good idea to block immediately. I'm looking forward to watching your future videos and catching up on ones I've missed. I wish you a peaceful and creative holiday season and happy bright new year
I love all the videos you produce and I do miss the art demo's. I'm sorry that your having to deal with negative people, they are not worth your time and mental health ❤
I love the art chats, tutorials, and product reviews. I have really enjoyed how your channel has evolved over the last couple of years that I've been watching you. To all the haters... good riddance. No "job" is worth sacrificing your mental health or happiness. You are an amazing artist and human being and there are some of us truly here to support you whatever you do!
It must be awfully hard to maintain UA-cam content; I’ve heard similar laments from others about the responses in comments and difficulty figuring out constant content. I think be you, post what you want, when you want. We’ll show up for content that appeals to us and sparks our interest! For many of us it’s your personality that draws us in!
Hi Amy 😊 I really enjoy your videos and feel really comfortable watching them cause I like the way you are and I think I will watch the videos you give to us 😂 no matter what they are about. And I think if you like the video and can be you in your videos your audience will notice that and will automatically like it. I hope you understand what I want to say. I wish you cozy Christmas holidays and a beautiful beginning of 2025. I will be here waiting for the videos no matter what is coming 😊😊
I hate key board bullies that would never say things to your face! I come to watch you because I like you and I am an artist as well. I cannot do membership right now because I just don't have the finances for that. But do what makes you feel safe.
DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY, I’M HERE TO WATCH, LEARN, & TO BE INSPIRED. I JUST FOUND YOUR VIDEOS & ENJOYED YOUR SWAN VIDEO GREATLY. AUTO-IMMUNE PROBLEMS ARE A LIFE CHANGER, THAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T UNDERSTAND. I HAVE LIVED WITH MY OWN FOR DECADES NOW. DON’T LET THE TROLLS GET YOU DOWN. I CAN ALREADY SEE THAT YOU ARE A TALENTED TEACHER. THERE ARE MANY MEDIUMS THAT I HAVE NOT EXPLORED, & IT’S FUN TO LEARN NEW THINGS. PLEASE KEEP TEACHING & SHARING YOUR ART.😘🎨🖌️
Amy, your channel is GREAT! I love watching it - every format but especially your art hauls and swatching. THANK YOU for your hard work and dedication!!!!
And to answer your question, I love whatever you post but my personal favourite are the vlogs/mish match videos. They're so cosy and I'm sorry to hear that you've been getting harassed for those, people are so ridiculous
Definitely block the trolls. They are just being mean. I like all your videos. If I had to pick favorites, I guess the ones where you try out new supplies and paint with them are most helpful for me.
Just found you recently and really enjoyed the two videos you mentioned that did well. I am still learning basics and appreciate shorter tutorials, which aren't always the most popular with the rest of the crowd. I'm less likely to watch long, involved videos because time. I actually just bought a new sketchbook to use in your twenty minutes a day habit. Looking forward to learning and improving with drawing and watercolor, in particular. ~ Lisa
Thank you! I'm so glad you're enjoying the channel! I've been playing with the idea of maybe posting some different content on Tuesdays, so like maybe an art chat, maybe have a tutorial Tuesday with a shorter one every now and then, or an art tip Tuesday, or something like that and see what happens, or if it affects my channel negatively. I also am not sure if that might end up being too much work for me, so that might be a factor... Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it!
Oh and hon, trolls have found your channel. I’m sorry but it does indicate that your channel has grown. The best way I’ve seen people deal with it is to block as well as putting keywords to block so that those trolls won’t be able to post mean things. But the best advice I can give is give energy to the things you want more of. So don’t address them, don’t try to reason with them, and don’t mind them. They’re sad and angry little things who get their jollies by upsetting people like yourself. The rest of us adore and admire you and your art. I’d be sad but understand if you move to a more private practice. My love and support for you and your beautiful art is here.
I’m so sorry you have to deal with all those terrible people. I enjoy your videos. You seem like such a kind and friendly person, when I watch your videos I feel like I’m hanging out with a friend. Thank you for your keeping our art community a positive and safe place. Much love and aloha 😊
My favorite videos are the shorter sketchbook ones. I am an ADHD artist and can't hang in there for long videos. I love watching artists create in their sketchbooks.
You are an artist and a very nice person. Don't take seriously the bad comments. Erase them. No constructive comment needs to be here. And for your plans, do what you feel and like. We will appreciate it. ❤
I should have watched the whole video before commenting. lol. I would love full length tutorials or online classes. I did not have the opportunity to go to art school and have been mostly self taught through online classes like skillshare or domestika or you tube artists like yourself. Thank you for what you do!
Your pro opinion about different art products is so precious to me as I am a beginner in watercolor. Trolls are everywhere these days... Every UA-camr that I follow talks about it one day or another. A great option if you can afford it or get help with is to have someone else sorting all comments for you and give you a briefing of our comments, trends... to protect you and keep you focus on what you're doing best... your art.. take care of your health and your kids. Hopefully you'll find a way to continue to shine and do what like the most. I appreciate your great work! ❤
I'm a newer subscriber, and I adore your authenticity and vulnerability. That's what I keep coming back for. I appreciate you asking your community what we want from your channel; however, what kind of videos do you enjoy making? The moment you put all your efforts into what's demanded at the expense of what you love doing, the joy and fun gets sucked out of the process. Thank you for sharing your art and your heart here!
Amy, I enjoy watching you and your content is relevant to myself and many others. You need to do what you enjoy and Do Not Participate in the absurd drama. The negative comments and absolutely attention seeking comments should be ignored. It shouldn't be internalized as personal, it is a reflection of their weak character and inability to do anything creative. these commenter are not exhibiting, selling real artist as they wouldn't have time nor need if they truly were. They are not bettering you or the world. Please continue with your channel as you see fit. Do Not give these trolls anymore thought or time. They are not worthy. That said, I love your color pencil work and would enjoy seeing more of that, a tutorial perhaps. Thank you for being You.
And you’re doing those lovely things beautifully. I appreciate your work so much. And your cheeks and face make me so happy and comforted. You are darling.
I really have enjoyed all of your content. I am learning so much about art from you. I love how you explore new things and bring us along. I enjoy your chats, your unboxing, swatching, and sharing your experiences. Watching your videos inspires me to step out of my comfort zone a little in my own art journey and try new things. Thank you for that!
Thank you for everything you do on your channel. I know it's a lot of work and I appreciate all your efforts. As a fellow artist I know it's mandatory to first satisfy ourselves so keep that in mind. As for the haters keep blocking them. Wishing the best for you in 2025.
I enjoy the teaching if you can. All mediums help us learn new products are always interesting. I’m not selling but I’m still trying to get better and the free you tubes are my only way right now
I like the art haul from the point of why you choose an brand, or introduce us to new items. Im learning oil pastels right now, so its good learning what surface, varnishing options. I like your chats. I learned to like markers the way you could layer them. We appreciate you.
Amy, please don't ever apologize. Trolls will be trolls. We come here because we want to be here. Comfy cozy. I think we should all follow our own flow. What's wrong with making ourselves happy? Absolutely nothing. I love to see your art, I love to find new and old products to use, and I love your tips and tricks. I know that doesn't help you decide but that is why I'm here. ❤
Amy I’m so sorry that happened. I have been watching you for about a year maybe. I come back because you inspire me to try new things. You are lighthearted and fun. I love your outdoor walks, when you share your life with us. And I love your art hauls. I hope that you can stay the same, some you tubers just jump into whatever they are teaching. But not you. I’m retired now and your post is a highlight of my week.
Hi Amy, I am one of the recent subscribers (after watching the daily sketchbook habit video, which was exactly what I needed 💜), and what attracted me to your channel was precisely the fact that you use mixed media, but also your personality and passion for what you do, your experience and willingness to share it. I'd rather your channel stay open -as opposite to membership, and shorter videos are easier for me to watch, I think about 20mins is optimal. I like the versatility of your topics, including glimpses of your studio, and wouldn't want you to focus on one aspect, like just demos for example. Also, you seem so "real" - and I love it. Flow is the word, totally agree and support! 😊👍💖💖💖
I enjoy your true to self attitude. I am into watercolor. Would love to see some videos showing techniques to use in watercolor while you are painting. I am a visual learner. Your art hauls are fun too!
I was so happy to see the chat video! You are doing a wonderful job. Those people are just evil and jealous! People are like that everywhere you go. Just fluff them off. I enjoy all your videos. I love to see the everyday life of Amy, plein air, etc. The teaching videos are awesome. You win no matter what. Keep up the great job Amy!!!!😊
I am a new follower of yours. I found you looking for Christmas ideas. I have been painting over 50 years. I enjoy learning watercolors. Due to many health issues, too, I stopped painting. For quiet a few years, I painted with acrylics. It was fun, lots of objects and mixed media. After not painting for 15 years I really felt the need to start again, this time it's watercolors. Never used the medium, so, finding your channel was wonderful. I enjoy the lesson time, learning how to do certain things, is great. I will enjoy anything you show. Teaching shorts is fine. Do not, paying attention to the Karens of the world, they are unhappy with their world and have to find something to bitch about! At 78 I have seen it all. You need to rise above the fools of the world. You are good artist and an excellent teacher. Teach! New to the you tube and watching someone teach is a blessing. Keep teaching. Thank you, bless you. What ever you do, I will continue to watch.
I enjoy your videos because you seem down to earth and are not condescending. Your videos are of diverse subjects which I gravitate to as my interests are just not watercolor but graphite, pastels, pen and ink/wash. Your reviews of supplies have helped me choose those which you found to be excellent. I trust your judgement. I just purchased the Uni pens you reviewed and recommended using your links. I love your animated videos and your accompanying monologue makes them uniquely you.
I have started watching you this year. I look forward to your videos. I have learned a lot from you. You are real in your videos and I love your honesty. You need to do what's best for you. Thank you for all you do! I hope you can find what works for you.
I’m new to your channel and doing art, and you’re fantastic. You are in my top 5 artists I watch, enjoy, and learn from. I am so sorry you’ve had to deal with the nasty, hateful side of humanity. It isn’t easy to process personal attacks. Hard stop! Sending you kudos & good vibes for all your hard work!
It seems today that there is a lot of emphasis on the negative side of life. You are wonderful and your videos are helpful so don’t let those negative people affect you. I know easier said than done. I think you should do what makes you happy and fits your schedule. Your dedicated fan base will accept what you do and watch. Stay positive and continue to share your work. ❤
Hi Amy, here since 2022. I remember you started this channel to make money since you had lost your job so it’s important to keep that in mind. I think of you as an illustrator, no shade, and am glad you’re working on your illustration portfolio. I’ve noticed many women on UA-cam who apologize for minor things like a dog barking or some random noise in the background. This makes them appear weak which invites criticism and ridicule from people looking for a reason to attack. Stop apologizing, sit up tall, move your hands all you want and be confident in yourself and your talent. That is what you’re lacking, nothing more. Once you can do this you’ll care less about the haters, just block them easy breezy, and move on with life. Here’s to you and yours❤️
Hi Amy, I enjoy the fact that you are an multimedia artist. Being relatively new to the art world I enjoy learning about the different mediums and art hauls. I love your passion for art and seeing your joy as you unveil new art supplies. Personally, I especially love it when you share your artwork (which is incredible and clearly shows that you are an artist) and the process. I would encourage you to continue to do what brings you joy and block the haters. They don’t deserve your time or energy. I know that can be easier said than done, but there are so many of us here, because we thoroughly enjoy your channel and are excited when we see that you’ve posted a video and can’t wait to watch it. Thank you for being real, and sharing your love of art. There is no doubt that you are an artist!
I don't normally leave comments and I have been watching your videos for several months. I'm a newbie at art (although I do enjoy other forms of creativity such as photography, crocheting, crafting and journaling) so I enjoy art supply hauls and how artists use their new art supplies. I also enjoy watching the artist's process in painting whether it be watercolor, gouache, acrylic paint and colored pencils or even sketching. I am constantly learning. These are the things that interest me. I would encourage you to fulfill your passion for whatever type of art or creativity you enjoy and what you enjoy teaching. Your art is beautiful. Blessings from Canada.
I enjoy a glimpse in your life and your art. Reviews are nice and helpful but I most enjoy the art. I would also like to see more about your jewelry. Don’t let the negative comments get to you…that’s why they do it. Don’t let them win! I guess the best thing is for you to do you. If people are interested they will continue to watch. Hugs.
I'm one of your new subscribers and love art tutorials. Especially watercolor and mixed media. Love all your content - the art studio vlogs, hauls, all of it. Love seeing your current art that's in progress as well! ❤
Thank you! I'm so glad you like it! I have a lot of fun making them! I like using ALL the supplies and can get bored if I can't hop around so I AK so glad you like that too! Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it!
I love a variety of media, it really does keep things interesting, you really can get bored with just one only. Please don't change the multiple different media, your channel is unique for this reason and I love it for that. I love the art creating videos more than other formats Please keep some at least. Love your videos ❤
😘🤗Whatever you decide to do, let me sa this. You are talented and hardworking! You can make it anywhere with your art!! And your wish to teach art doesn´t have to be on youtube. There must be other ways for you to teach. Don´t let this stupidity and evilness online break your love for art, and your spirit! Lots of hugs and GOOD LUCK whatever you decide to do!🤗😘
I'm stage 5 lupus nephritis kidney failure with only 3% function . I have spinal cord damage and several other autoimmune diseases. I know you have days than you suffer greatly. I really appreciate all your hard work putting out content for us. Keep going and don't allow anyone to steal your joy. Praying for you and your family. Hugs.
Sounds like a great idea for a poll(s). I am interested in your weekend blogs, which is why I have been coming back. I would be curious to see a "month" with your different art materials. I would be interested in mini-tutorials (painting rocks, clouds, skies, water, making things more 3D, putting things in the foreground vs. background, etc.) Or a tutorial on the same subject multiple times, with different art mediums, etc. But in the end, you have to be true to yourself to some degree since this is your channel. Best of luck!!
Much love to you Amy! I know it’s a lot easier said than done but try to ignore the negative nasty comments. They are a direct reflection on the people making them and not you! Unfortunately, there is a lot of negativity in our world and social media is an easy outlet for someone to drop their hate and run. Say a prayer for their souls and never forget your mission of leaving this world a better place. Please know that you are making a difference for so many people and when you’re feeling discouraged, please remind yourself of that. Happy holidays to you and yours! ☃️
Hi Amy, I enjoy whatever you post, but my preference is the "Art Chat" type of videos; I also enjoy your mishmash videos, especially when you show nature images from your beautiful property. What mainly draws me to your channel is your personality, regardless of content. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your work, and for sharing it with us. Wishing you a happy holiday season and a speedy knee recovery.
I love to watch you paint. I enjoy seeing your mixed media because I don’t know how or what things mix together, such as what do you mix with watercolor. Also, I would love to see your illustrations. I really enjoyed the sketchbook video, and the tip video, which seemed to be popular. If videos are too long I don’t watch it all at once, I’ll come back to it later. But honestly, I like your art, and you’re very talented, I may not do oil or gouache, but I still like to watch how you do these mediums. Just keep being honest and real and teach us to be better artists and encourage us to keep trying. Stay positive, and hang in there! ❤
Amy ive been enjoying everything you do, even if its only listening while i focus on my own projects. Your personable, relateable & a great multi talented artist.
Good on you for setting boundaries, stating expectations, and implementing consequences for those who cannot be chill! And Thank You! Frankly, I pretty much am tired of the darkness in the world…that’s why I love art! It gives me my peace. As someone else posted…Protect your Peace! And thank you for protecting this community! ❤❤
As someone who is an artist with epilepsy ( tonic clonic) I can honestly say you do not at all look like someone who is having a seizure!😂. I always enjoy your videos and it is comforting to know that your art helps you get through your health struggles too!
I am so sorry to hear that! One of my good friends in high-school had epilepsy and it was SO scary when she had a seizure and she struggled with it so much. I am so sorry that you have to struggle with it too. I wish there was some way we could just erase all the health problems. It breaks my heart to know how many people out there have to struggle each day. Just know you aren't alone!
What the heck does your desk have to do with being an "actual artist"....sheesh, some people ruin everything! I'm a very new beginner, what little I know of drawing or painting I've learned from UA-cam. I'm constantly looking for art tutorials. Those videos may not do well, as far as views go, but I hope you and others can continue to offer those in 2025. Please and thank you! Ultimately, I'll watch any of your videos and appreciate them!
Yea the desk comment was hilarious.. I mean really? Ooo you should see my two… two art rooms… messy and crazy, but these are my happy creative spaces and I’m happy in there as it is! I don’t care what anyone’s opinions about it is lol and yes indeed I’m an artist, my whole life… and I’m 54😂
Hello, I rarely leave comments on UA-cam, but I thought I'd let you know what got me subscribe to your channel recently. I have only watched a few of your videos yet, but I found the Color Theory 102 immensely helpful. I was teaching little kids printmaking and wondering why mixing red and blue never really make good purple... I mean, we all learn how to mix colors in primary school! Content wise, I really appreciate your knowledge based on your experience. Most of us cannot afford to try all the materials and techniques. I think it was you who taught me that using graphite under oil based material is not a good idea, and also graphite is water-activated and will muddy watercolor. Things like this, I find priceless! FIY I do not enjoy art haul, as you are testing something for the first time (most of the time). I personally want more of your tried-and-true type wisdom, including art materials. Thank you.
I like seeing artists making art. I’m personally interested in mixed media, watercolour, art alongs and art journaling/sketchbook practices. I’m not really interested in memberships. Also don’t give negative interactions any of your time; no one is forced to watch UA-cam videos.
I know there is a core of you out there that do actually want to see artists making art, which is why I still do those videos even though they don't do as well. I know you guys are out there because I'm one of you! :) I miss how much art there used to be on youtube! I try not to worry about the negative comments but some od them get very personal! It's kind if crazy! Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment!
I keep coming back to see your wonderful art, and to watch you do it and explain it as you go. I learn a ton from that. I like your personality and realism, it gives me hope as I struggle with life stuff too. I feel comfortable and cozy watching you, it’s like a peaceful retreat in my day, I’d miss you terribly if you left.
I really like just listening to you talk about art while I paint or tidy up my studio. I have been inspired to restart my youtube thanks to you. Seems much love💙
I really enjoy the studio vlog style and the art hauls. I think tutorials are nice but for the most part I'm just around to hang out. I appreciate how real you are about what's going on in your life (both creatively and personally). I'll watch whatever you put up :)
Do what you love. I do love seeing you make art with the supplies you get. You are so very talented!! And I love that you are so eclectic in your art work. Take care of your mental health. I love your vlog style videos. I will say I don't like to like the art haul videos because then that's what youtube thinks I want when I love watching someone make art. I am constantly trying to find more videos where I can learn. I was a teacher and you are an excellent teacher, it is in you! I would say just go with it the flow with whatever, that is so funny I was going to say just go with the flow (right when you started talking about FLOW) and don't stress out about it. Have fun with all you have chosen to do and trust the process. YES!! illustration you are so good! Yes follow your inspiration. I would love to see more watercolor landscapes!
Hi Amy! you're def doing the right think by instantly blocking those that post unkind comments. Life's too short for that kind of stuff - delete and move on. As to the king of content I like on your channel - I like it all and will be happy to watch all sorts - hauls, tutorials, chatty stuff - anything. What I do do though is keep the longer videos for my 'watch later' so I may not watch them when they first go up but come back to them sometimes a few weeeks later when I'm looking to watch longer content - maybe that's why they do seem to perform as well straight away - because they will build views more slowly than stuff you can watch quickly inbewteen doing chores or stuff. I'm looking forwrad to how your channel grows and progresses in 2025 and will no doubt love all the content :)
Mean people are awful. I found you when you first started playing with soft pastels and I have loved every video I’ve watched since! Art hauls are great and all but I often find myself overwhelmed with the possibilities and really find myself inspired and reaching for my supplies more when I watch you in the act of art making! I love the multi media approaches you have. I’m here to cheer for you and shoo negative people away!
Yay! A Tuesday video! Do what makes you happy, Amy. Those of us who have been around for awhile will be here for you. I like watching you work, I like the art hauls, I like hearing about your life, I like your dog! (hi, Belle! ❤)
I have recently subscribed to your channel because I like your art style. I enjoy the art hauls and watercolor tutorials. Wishing you peace and joy in the new year. Take care 🌺
Ok, I'm going to start working on my sculptures and listen to the rest of your video now!
well said and i couldn't agree more!
Amy, be YOU. There are more of us who love your tutorials and stories! Continue what you do for us supporters. Block the haters. This is your gig.❤
First off. Thank you for your teaching. Shame on those who just want to criticize please don’t worry. You are doing great
I try not to take it to heart but it can be hard, especially when therr are multiple ones day after day.
Yess don't give any energy to those nasty people, they don't deserve it! Protect your peace ❤
Yep. Delete and block. It took me awhile, but no one gets a second chance! Lol! Thank you for the encouragement!
@@tabbi888 amen sis.
Way to go! If you don't like something just leave. NO COMMENTS!!!
Right? I mean how hard is it??? Every day I'm shocked by the lack of manners in the world. It's really kind of awful. Anyway, thanks for the backup!
I’m only 4 minutes in on this video and to you I say: block ‘em! This is your channel, your rules. Anyone who has time to make negative comments it’s a reflection on them, not you. Love what your’e doing Amy!! There’s no room for negativity here !
I love the videos as they are. I think you do a nice variety of different kinds of content and you are a both a great artist and UA-camr!
Lindsay’s Sat Chats are quite popular and I felt like this was similar to that… just a nice conversation about how the week went and what you are or have done this week or planning for next week… okay, that was a long sentence, but a 20- minute Tuesday chat similar to that would be nice.
I watch her as well and LOVE Sat. Chats!!
I'm sorry that your having to deal with negative people, they are not worth your time and mental health ❤
art hauls and your reviews are fantastic ... keep up the great work!!
Thank you! I'm so glad you like them! I have a ton of fun making them!
Also, I know you've struggled with your health and I just wanted to comment that right now you look so healthy so I hope that things are going well.
I love a good Tuesday chat!!
Oh good! Thanks for letting me know and thanks for watching!
Make videos that make you happy and we will love them! Because we love spending time with you!
The haters gonna hate hate hate….😂❤ I love your channel keep doing YOU! ❤❤❤
Fantastic update, I love these videos, I find them so fascinating to see where people are going ☺
It is your channel. You need to follow your spark!
I admire you for putting yourself out there. People can be so mean.
Don't make it difficult for your self, you doing great, don't change😊
Good for you glad you are blocking mean people. It's easy to just be kind. Have a good life and enjoy art.
I love demos and studio vlogs/life of an artist vlogs the best xx
You are doing fabulous! Block those trolls!
Lots of hugs and GOOD LUCK whatever you decide to do!🤗😘
Just keep going 😀 I really love your arthauls and just listen to you chatting away
You make me happy, and you inspire me! Be who you are!
What a nice Tuesday surprise!
Your authenticity and passion for art is reflected in every video. Please share your art work and process. I will continue to support your channel
(hi, Belle! ❤)
Hi Amy- protect your mental health first!! I love all that you do and offer.
I have recently subscribed to your channel because I like your art style. I enjoy the art hauls and watercolor tutorials. Wishing you peace and joy in the new year. Take care 🌺
I am here for you. Yes, the art etc but you are what brings the joy to the channel ❤
