The main ingredient in the Dorito bag is air 😂
imagine someone suing them for not specifying it on the bag
Protect the chips from breaking.😊
That's racist
Period 😂😂
That’s fun as hell 😂😂😂
All this for me to plow through a bag of Cool Ranch in 6 minutes
oink Oink OINK 🐷
@@randymorrison5513 grass
Cool ranch and cottage cheese is the best combo on earth
i love doritoes but I noticed that in some bags the chips are well seasoned and in some bags the chips are barely seasoned
For realz they need better qc
they also changed the seasoning recipe for the cheese versions doesn't taste the same.cool ranch is still very good to me though.
Each bag has a 100 chips? Bullshit. 25 tops
he's talking about the large bags, still in range of 60-75 chips....
and then Frito Lay fills 1/4 of a bag and sells it to you!
And now you know why they are 3 for $8
Spicy sweet chili(PURPLE BAG, MOM!!!!) is my favorite 😍! Love doritos, love your videos too ❤️
Thank you!
Purple is sooo underrated,best flavor
I tried a purple bag ... Nope.
Dip them in sour cream. Amazing.
In fact most Doritos are good dipped in sour cream. Lol
They went from $1.79, all the way up to $6.49 AND they shrunk the size of the bag. I would walk past the section at the store and no one ever took one bag. A couple of months later, they put them on "sale" for $4.99. They still didn't move off of the shelf. Last week, they had to knuckle under to $3.99. It's disgusting, because you know they're still making a profit. I picked up a bag and an hour after eating them, my stomach hurt badly. Sorry Doritos, your price and whatever cheap ingredients that you went to, aren't for me any more.
0:40 actually, dorado in Spanish has two meanings, 1. Fried until crispy and changes color. 2. Color of gold.
Small pieces of gold are called “pepitas de oro”.
If the cooks didn't break the chips, the truck drivers must be using them as airbags.
Another great educational video
Casa de Fritos (0:25) was not in San Diego, but in Anaheim. It was a restaurant at Disneyland operated by Frito. It was a route salesman for Alex Foods (which provided the food service supplies to Casa de Fritos) who noticed that unused tortillas were being thrown in the trash at the end of the day. He suggested to the cook to cut them into triangles and season them in the style of a Zapotec Mexican snack called totopos.
It was later that post-merger Frito-Lay executive Arch West visited the restaurant and discovered the wildly popular snack that had been added to the menu without Frito-Lay's knowledge. West saw a major marketing opportunity. Frito-Lay bought all the equipment Alex Foods would need to produce the chips to be distributed nationally, and decided the product would be called Doritos.
They took totopos and made a gringo version Thats pretty much it, triangled tortilla chips were already used in Mexico the most famous example are chilaquiles, a dish from the 1600s indeed invented by the zapotecs in Oaxaca
Bring back Pizza Hut Doritos please
I remember that 90s 😎💯💯
Mmmm! Doritos! Cool video!
I loved the video but just like on many products involving an agricultural product, you incorrectly showed “green corn” being harvested instead of “dry corn” which is used for the making of Doritos. “Green corn” is the type of corn you eat off the cob or pack the kernels in a can with water. Dry corn contains less than 15% moisture when harvested and is basically used to make corn meal or products like Doritos. Thank you.
I was wondering if it was the same type of corn we would have with our dinner.
DORITOS are is my favorite thanks for sharing this amazing video.
Sicko
They were even better in the 70's when less ingredients were used.
This video has caused me to go out and buy a bag of yummy Dorito’s
Doritos are my favorite chip I just love them so much
When did they decide to put cancer causing food coloring on them? Just curious.
You'll be fine.
@@eds7344 you my fucking doctor Ed?
The overcharge you for a bag of Doritos in the bag not even half full it’s mostly air
They need to start measuring the seasonings. So that each chip gets the same amount. Because some are seasoned good and some are not.
true, but maybe you should call the number on the back of the bag to complain and maybe you'll get free bags. Instead of commenting on a video , doing that will never help your case lol
@@A7XdemesticPk Your probably right.😂👍🏾
Love Doritos ❤
Best chips ever made!
That and cheddar Pringles and potato skins!
Absolutely
I can’t believe how upset people are over a bag of chips. Geez.
Imagine buying a 6$ bag of chips that’s half full of air..just go buy a pound of hamburger meat
They are sold by the weight of the chips. Not the weight of the bag. The air is irrelevant to the value.
Very cool! Thanks!
It's super hard to work at Doritos
The nacho factory! That's a phrase I never knew but now can't forget
Tried a bag of Hot Mustard a few months ago, my 2nd favorite. Nothin beats Taco ! Even though Taco tasted waaaay better years ago.
Bless those delicate chips.
I work at a Frito plant. It’s a good job. People there are really nice. Love Doritos!
You all should know Totopos is a traditional Mexican food. They invented the fried triangle shape reused tortillas. Doritos commercialised it. I do not know if somebody else had done it before in Mexico, I would imagine they did. Doritos were just stronger.
Chilaquiles have been a thing since the early 1600s, fried tortillas in triangles or totopos seasoned with spices.
Wow thank you for informing people. Kind of huge oversight by the person who created this video, and them hearting the comment is not good enough. Might not be a big deal to some but it's frustrating when history is whitewashed like this. People's culture and inventions shouldn't be erased and given credit to someone else, no matter how minuscule it seems. Very irresponsible of the content creator but unsurprising from a content farm channel.
Doritos all day 💯💯
Ive delivered to Lays, those potatoes are just dumped(literally) on the floor of the trailer until the trailers allowed weight is met, not real sure how the cleaning of said potatoes done
Good
MSG-nice
Bring back the ORIGINAL 3d nacho cheese doritos!!
They gotta lose the Red 40.
MSG affects my mood, can't eat these anymore.
I'm sorry bro
Thanks for letting us know.
They are openly saying it contains MSG
What they don’t tell you is the amount of unnecessary ingredients that they put in a bag of Doritos. If you read the back of the pack and half of the bag is full of air.
The original product was made at the Casa de Fritos (now Rancho Del Zocalo) at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, during the early 1960s.
Iowa be like…You are welcome Frito Lay 👍
@1:36 "The prepared corn is sent to the not your factory"?? Of course it's not mine, if it was I'd already know how they were made HAHAHAAHHHA
As a kid in the 70's, it was only us Dungeons & Dragons players that ate dorritos. Ruffles were the norm. I had to give up dairy, so I stopped paying attention to dorritos decades ago. Seeing your video was an eye-opener. I had no idea they got this popular. Wish they'd make a dairy-free version that I could eat.
Notch-yo Doritos, they’re mine! 😋
Eating nacho cheese Doritos high asf right now watching this 😅😂
Eating Doritos while watching this
Anaheim, California - and not San Diego as your documentary claims - is where the idea for Doritos originated.
Wikipedia states: "The original product was made at the Casa de Fritos (now Rancho Del Zocalo) at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, during the early 1960s. Using surplus tortillas and taking the original idea from the traditional Mexican snack known as totopo, the company-owned restaurant cut them up, fried them, and added basic seasoning, resembling the Mexican chilaquiles, but in this case being dry. Arch West was the vice president of marketing of Frito-Lay at the time, and noticed their popularity. He made a deal in 1964 with Alex Foods, the provider of many items for Casa de Fritos at Disneyland, and produced the chips for a short time regionally, before it was overwhelmed by the volume, and Frito-Lay moved the production in-house to its Tulsa plant."
Eating a bag right now lol
It’s amazing the amount of effort we go through and the resources that we waste creating something that is so unhealthy for us and actually hurts us.
The profit margin must be insane
Money money money money money money money money 😂😂
It’s amazing that you’re a douche
🙄
Just like that i'm heading to my local store for a few bags. def call bs on the bag being full of doritos lmao!
Just as I finish hearing the narrator explain how they work to prevent chip breakage by various means at 8:34 I watch a lady literally slam bags of chips down into the shipping boxes. Well, so much for being careful.
“You ain’t tasted nothing until you’ve tasted a corn chip right off the line.”
Salsa Rio flavour are getting hard to find but are really good
This video was made outside the USA since the metrical scale was used. U.S. uses an imperial scale table, like pounds, ounces and etc.
They need to bring back Doritos 3D
I wonder if they can make me a bag with loads of nacho cheese on the chips 🤔that would be awesome 😂
New flavor: tons of seasoning
3 months later: what seasoning
I couldn't work there I be eating it all lol! 1 For me 1 for you lol!
They say Doritos are the worst chips to eat of them all. But I still love to eat them anyway.
everything is bad enjoy your life
Please advise where to purchase "Tangy Cheese" and "Hint of Lime" flavors.
I want some lol
Damn makes me want ... Doritos
Definitely an AI narrator, but damn seein dem visuals in the plant were pretty tasty! Makes me wanna try to make a batch at home
Small Gold😮
I like Doritos too sometimes I buy Doritos as long not made in kukwang
I'd love to be on the assembly line bc you know the ones in defected bags are either free or super cheap lol I'd be getting some, not a lot,but some bc I wouldn't want to get tired of em bc they're fire
Pre-Shortages Doritos 😍
Shortage-Era Doritos 😨
Such a long and lengthy process just to make some chips. Imagine if these weren't mass produced, the amount of time and effort it would be to make one bag of homemade Doritos would be INSANE.
Please put some more in the packets!
Fr
So where can I get one of those giant bags of powdered cheese?
Doritos just recently arrived in the stores here in Estonia as well Takis
And they are expensive af here
He keeps saying nachos, they are making corn chips, not nachos.
The nacho cheese is my favorite flavor.
I miss plain Doritos !!!! Bring plain Doritos BACK !
Rather spraying taste maker at the end it might be good to add masala to its mix.
Man's best invention.
That's a lot of steps to create Doritos.
I used to like Doritos as a kid but now since I'm older I don't care for them as much and haven't had them in a long time.
I invented nachos out of a carnival machine
Thought it came from the Mexican restaurant at Disneyland
The narrator's voice sounds like Triston Tate . Seriously similar !
whya re they so expensive if its all automated? ahhhh
Haven't bought Doritos in over 10 - 15 years.. and I work at Costco.. Lol
Original nacho cheese flavor used to be awesome. They've screwed up nacho cheese flavor ever since they started making other flavors. The original nacho cheese flavor is usually more hot & spicy now.
I called the company to ask why they've changed the original seasoning. The woman told me that they've received a lot of complaints about it.
They're not lacking customers, but I stopped buying them.
More chips. Less air. Dammit we stoners are mad
damn, now I want some doritos. off to 7-1
Doritos' new ingredient is trans fluid
I miss jumpin jack flavor. Those were the best! The old school ones. Not the ones they tried to bring back that had no flavor.
I've read about people receiving a spherical chunk of seasoning in their bags and every account says it tasted gross.
Now tell us all about the cheesy and other chemicals that gets added and what they can do to your health
Now tell us all about how you're forced to buy and eat Doritos.
100 chips my a**. Opened a bag recently lol?
Nachos come with chips and cheese dips together. Those are just regular chips.
They deliberately made the spicy cool ranch bag smaller for the same price or a higher price. Since 2020 they cut the flavor down to almost nothing you might as well get plain corn chips.
0:55 Doritos has more than those flavors. In South Korea I had fried chicken Doritos. they were incredible
All the bag are half air but there still delicious
I see, the bag is in twosides and is glues together right when the chips drop.
Not what they used to be - they taste more milky with buttermilk and a lot less cheesy, almost like a cream sauce instead of cheese.
That's how they make Corn Flakes too.
Wicked 😮 18 million bags 4 billion annually?!!
18 million bags, that is for 1 factory only.
Green popcorn rice flour spankle salt little salt sour cream chip topping
