whoaaa .. I'm so glad I found this. I've been using the remix live by itself this entire time. My recent upload has a link to my sound cloud. everything on that is made using remix live no link. Damn tho.. this shit is so dope.
Exactly! All you need is a WiFi connection and 2 computers/Android or iOS devices with Remixlive or Cross DJ. All connected apps will then automatically play in sync across all devices! So you can sync your apps on several devices to play back to back with friends, or just use Remixlive to add extra loops over tracks playing in Cross DJ. To end with, dozens of apps have Ableton Link: combine them with Cross DJ & Remixlive to unleash your creativity.
this is such an excellent update. any chance we could get midi learn functionality for the IOS version soon ? would very much like to use 2 ipads in a setup with one midi controller using my iconnectaudio4+ but cannot do it yet. its pretty much the only thing stopping your app from being utterly amazing. Link pretty much means that a dual ipad setup is definitely possible....
I need help here. So I figured it out and got the latest version of Ableton and remix live synced but when I sync them remix stops playing. Any solutions?
Hi! It will depends on the software you're wanting to link. We're actually preparing a video that will surely help you with this. If you want a quick response, feel free to send us an email at support@mixvibes.com. Our team is here to help!
Could someone at Mixvibes please help? What am I doing wrong? I f I use the two apps on the same device, they sync, but the device Cannot handle the two apps together efficiently, plus remix like doesn't allow background play, so I would like to sync from two different devices. I am on the same WiFi network, and I made sure to get rid of my VPN's on my devices, but they will not sync? On the Ableton Live website, it states that you do not need Ableton Live to use to link enabled apps, that all you need is to enable link within the app itself. This is confirmed with the fact that I can get two or more apps, even non Mix Vibes apps that are also link enabled, to sync when used on a single device. So why can't I get them to sync when utilizing them from two separate devices on the same WiFi network (and no VPN's are involved so that's not the problem; initially I couldn't even get them to sync from the same device, however, deleting the VPN that came with my device eliminated that problem, yet only for one device at a time).
Hi Jonathan! We'll try to figure out what's wrong. Could you send us an e-mail at support@mixvibes.com? That will be easier to handle. Please copy-paste this message and add the version of the apps you use, the version of the OS on each device, and the name of the devices. Thank you :)
Can't get the Ableton Link to work on my 2 Android devices - both on the same Wifi network and both the same version of Remixlive (v3.3.2). Other than enabling Ableton Link in Settings is there anything else to do?
I have been wondering the same thing? On the Ableton site, it states that you do not need to have Ableton Live to sync two apps that are link enabled. So they should sync right up however, I can't get them to sync when the two apps are being used on two separate devices (e.g., my phone with Cross D.J. Pro, and my tablet with remix live). They only sync when I play both apps on the same device. This sucks because the processor gets all out of whack and they start freezing up and crashing, sounds stop occasionally and crack, and with the fact that the Android version of remix live you cannot play on background, it kind of sucks trying to use it that way. When that's factored in with the fact that the music stops when you switch packs on remix live, smh
Excellente idée. Mixvibes propose des applications de qualité et se montre ouverte à de nombreux projets
