Btw.: Over here, these brats are called "Krakauer" (like the city Krakau in the south of Poland) and come right off the grill with no extra preheating or any other preps or sides ... Btw.: What is your personal opinion: Should a bun be toasted or steamed? Or does this depend on the sausage ??? (The New York vendors do it steamed, right ??? )

I prefer toasted. Yes, you are correct, NY vendors steam their hot dogs as well as the buns.
