- Today our 2018 Audi S4 gets its first performance modification. We will be installing the 034 Motorsport P34 cold air intake kit and getting rid of the stock air box. The premise is cooler charge air, more noise and better performance. The stock airbox works hard to silence the turbo to the point that it's very hard to hear. With the 034 kit the sound is a huge upgrade. We're able to hear the turbo flutter and spool under idle revs. When driving the turbo spool and whine is excellent under load. It sounds amazing and everyone who rides in the car loves it. We will be doing more modifications to this S4 and performance testing it!

Glad you liked it. It sounds really good when driving, if you enjoy hearing the turbo spool up, flutter, etc.. it’s not obnoxious, but definitely audible. I think for the money on this platform you can’t go wrong with this one.
can you make a video on how to change out the brake pads/rotors on a B9? I can’t find any good vids for the S4

Weird how mine doesn’t do the flutter. It did with the ECS intake but not this one. Just the loud swoosh when you let off the gas.
I like the flutter too because it reminds me of the BMW N54 motor intake flutter. However, from the video he made 6 months ago, it looks like he replaced a faulty diverter valve. Maybe the flutter is not supposed to be there.
Hi I have the same induction as you. Have you changed the turbo elbow yet?
I have changed out the inlet, it's going to be in a future video with my stage 3 build. Should be out pretty soon :).
Do you rub the electrical connector piece below? On the side of the airbox I seem to be right on top of an electrical connector.
Its very close but not rubbing on mine.

do you feel the Peak Horsepower Gain: 19 HP @ 4,950 RPM Peak Torque Gain: 20 FT-LBS @ 4,950 RPM claimed by 034?
Thanks for watching and commenting! I mostly noticed a really great sound, but with all the combined mods the car is a lot faster. For the intake alone, without a tune, I really don’t think you will feel 20 lbs-ft of torque with a car already putting out 370 lbs-ft of torque stock. Its a 5% difference if it really adds the torque. Once you do full boltons and a stage 2 tune you WILL feel the combined difference.
Is replacing the air filters alot more expensive than stock?
Id check with 034 but likely yes. I haven’t replaced mine yet. Only have like 4-5000 miles on it tops.
@@DmitrysGarage Next time you change the engine air filter you should make a video on it and give a "long term review". It sounds really cool im debating getting it
That should be a 150$ kit basically just a hose a air filter and the stock airbox with a side cut out
