Hi Erik, sorry for the late reply, had some vision issues now my Laptop needs a new hard drive. I have searched for Information on these Lima BR80 Locos, they were produced from 1974 until 1986. The early 0-6-0 1700L models only had connecting rods on the wheels. The later models 20-1700 L and 20-1700-LG had all the connecting rods and valve linkages as in our BR80s. I cannot finfd exactly when they fitted lights, Yours and mine have working lights fitted and may be the 20-1700-LG model. I am always surprised how you manage to find these Locos in perfect condition and very cheap. This BR80 of yours looked like new and in a superb box. Great work, Cheers, Paul.
Hi Paul, thanks for searching the information on these BR80. Interesting how Lima tried to improve its models, probably trying to compete with other producers. Yes, finding these models on the cheap is sometimes difficult. I think local secondhand sites are more interesting than Ebay, where the bidding system is very popular and more people interested means bids getting higher. I like to buy at the Belgian site “2dehands”, most prices are high too, but sometimes you can find real bargains. Sellers don’t pay for advertising, so some of them just want to get rid fast of something. Also flee markets can hide treasures, but I usually could find bargains in only one in ten flee markets, so it took to much time to find something. Have a nice Sunday! Erik

On a little research on web, this locomotive might be from a set (a beautiful one) named ~nebenbahn personenzug~ with two coaches (Donnerbuchsen) and a luggage car, a set from Lima "Golden Series 109726G". As your loco has its individual box, it might have been released on the market as a single unit, as well... Have a nice Sunday! / Chris
Привет, Эрик! ПИКО сделали модель BR80 не только для СЖД с двумя осями. Также есть модель SNCF при этом они правильно обозначили французскую систему нумерации локомотивов. У них он обозначен правильно. Тут я дам обозначение, как оно в каталоге моей коллекции: PIKO Паровоз BR80 SNCF 020 TA 6 Эпоха III арт. 95684 По осевой формуле они дали точное французское обозначение. Но есть еще точно такой же француз от РОКО. и он уже трехосный, и с другим обозначением: ROCO Паровоз BR80 SNCF 030 T 168 Эпоха III арт.53201 Всего у РОКО 3 модели BR80, которые мне интересны, чистый француз арт. 63287 и в одном из артикулов в комплекте есть таблички к разным железным дорогам Roco 63289, естественно, там нет СЖД, ведь нет сведений, что эти паровозы попали в СССР
