I am trying to create a very small H0 layout: it was initially about 3x5 ft (95 x 148 cm). When I started it in 2020, it was also made to be removable since I was using it on my dining table. Later I moved it to the loft and it is now 3,5 x 6 ft (105 x 185 cm).
The theme of the initial layout was an early post soviet union village in the nineties, called Petrushino. In November 2022 I reconfigured the layout and it now contains two villages, a soviet village “Petrushino” and an early post-soviet village “Kuzhenkino”, still on the same surface of 105x185 cm.
Recently I have a new layout based on Noch Birkenfeld and measuring only 140 x 100 cm, truly a very small layout. And it can get smaller: my UK layout is only 85x95 cm.
PS: I am not Russian and not English, I understand both languages but some mistakes might occur in the English and Russian texts on this channel. I am sorry for that.

@@patricksmodels It's a piece of nostalgia, these train models were in my dad's collection 50 years ago. Everything was sold 20 years ago. But I purchased a few of the same kind of models on Ebay last year. I run them on DC now. Thanks for watching!

Hi! May be tanker BP will be better on the UK layout? You can buy a tank for cheap Jouef BP/ALGECO only the second plate will need to be removed

Yes, the Jouef tankers are more realistic models than these basic Limas.

Despite my lack of knowledge in British rolling stock, here is an advice that will not fail: the tanker will look much, much more British if you stop measuring it in millimeters and do it in inches! Hi Erik, you have done a good job reducing the height of the tanker, it has a similar level with the Shunter and brake van roofs. Adding some small deacls to the chassis and tanker would definately make it look more detailed. It looked very nice being pulled around your layout with the Diesel Shunter. Cheers, Paul. 👍👍🙏
With your tanker, you could cut a small rectangle of plasticard painted matt black and apply a hazardous chemicals decal to it. Apply the platicard at diagonally opposite sides of the tank. A uk tanker would display these, so have a look online for pictures. You may do well to google the Farish N gauge 100 ton tanker, so that you can see what these boards look like. You should be able to source the decals on e bay. I managed it in N gauge, so OO should be easy to find. Martin.
De wagens werden getrokken door een H class 0-4-4T stoomlok uit 1904. Wellicht is er een vergelijkbaar model in HO of OO.

The train looks fun-tastic, maybe a baggage or postal wagon would make it look ”perfect”, but it is beautiful anyway. All that is ”missing” is a fog machine, to reproduce the British fog - the scenery is already very British. Thanks for the video, Erik, have a super week-end!
