So today we are checking out the Nanoleaf Aurora LED panels. You've probably seen them in a bunch of gaming setups, so I thought I'd pick some up, and let you guys know what I think of them!

Great overview. The main reason I But the rhythm edition was for the fun music effects! I listen to music all the time and it just makes me feel happy having the lights on top of it.

How do you get the color of them to come through on your shots? I'm fighting color washout on mine even at 15%. I'm shooting in 30fps 1/60 - wondering if I should try shooting 24fps?

Awesome review and loved the tracing paper tip! Just one thing I was a little confused about and couldn’t see it answered in the comments - do I still need the rhythm module to get the gradually blending light mode (rhythms without the music playing).
In other words i’m not sure if I need to go for the module or not, because I only want the pulsating rhythm effect - i dont care about the music reaction thing haha. Thank you so much :)

Thank you so much for this review. I'v been looking on the NANOLEAF AURORA RHYTHM 15 panel kit, but the price of 350 dollar kind of got me holding back a bit. But after this video and the fact that they were on 20% discount this weekend. I just ordered them and i cant wait to put them up on my wall!

I have a total of 54 Nanoleaf panels (bought 3 15-packs on sale at $250 each and $160 on sale for a 9-pack)... I have a ton of other LEDs, including all sorts of addressable LEDs from China, and also plethora of Philips Hue/LIFX bulbs and various Hue/LIFX fixtures, but the Nanoleafs are the stars of the show... They provide a unique option for lighting... Kids especially love them!
They're expensive, but I'm glad to have a collection of them.

@@lightfalcon1 Unique product with very few competitors, people pay $50 for one lamp without the features. Seems like a fair price. We don't know the cost to make them so we can't fairly assess profit margins and if they are gouging. If the price was too high people wouldn't buy them, simple economics.

I was doing some research on Nanoleafs because I saw it in someone's gaming setup and I was interested. I came across your video as the top result and I really enjoyed your review. I also think they are overpriced and I'm still trying to decide if it's worth the money. But they look amazing and I think they will be a great addition to my setup. Do you think it's worth it?

Great video. Convinced me to buy a set. Do you have any tips for hiding the ends of the command strips? You know, the bit you have to leave sticking out so you can remove the strips later on?
Thanks man - Well, for the ones that are connected to another panel, the bits that stick out are hidden anyway, for the ones on the edge, I just ended up getting an xacto knife and cutting them off lol

Thanks for the review. How does the rhythm module work? Does it just sync over the WiFi with whatever music you're playing on your phone, or can you link it to your PC, or some other music source.

Is that big TV over you monitors 4k or 1080p?
I have a 46 inch 1080p TV collecting dust and was thinking of setting it up that way. Only thing is I don't know if the size and resolutions would be ok for that purpose, being that close.
I already have a 2k main screen btw.
1st Do these lights produce a lot of heat because I am having an issue with my room getting really hot and it interrupts me being able to play xbox because i dont want it to overheat. 2nd is it a good idea to leave these on for about 12 hours at a time
is there a certain panel that is the "starting" panel or can you plug the power supply into any panel? (Like one from an expansion pack)
Will these stick to walls with slightly bumpy texture work?

thinking about doing a video on how i could replicate these panels ! with a minimal cost
update in case you guys were wondering : ive bought the LED lights and Looked at some possible methods to reinvent this product and its coming along nicely if im correct the panels im making will resemble the Nanoleaf panels and only cost around $ 25.65. wish me luck and stay tuned for the video hehe
