      @@tommytexter4054 Yeah.. well they look cheep and light distribution is not good.. That together makes them look like I made them at home and not paid that big price tag.. Auroras on other hand do have more unified light and do look a bit nicer and more interesting.. They are overpriced too but I feel that they worth more.. Nanoleaf tile are better than these as well bc their light is also more uniform but they have they own missaligment problems which could and should be fixed via software especially at that price..

    These solve some of the biggest issues with aurora. The deadspace in the corners and chunky control panel are gone for instance. The problem is the price, at this price point you are almost guaranteed to have buyers remorse.

    I have 2 sets of nano-leaves in my room and I think that they are equals because the triangle effect really gives of some nice accents. The ripple feature is very nice though, I don't have enough wall space to get any canvass sadly...

      hey there, you said you had 2 sets of nano-leaves? i want to buy some too, and place some at 2 maybe 3 different spots in my room. all spots are a few meters away from each other, so i was wondering if i had to get a "starter kit" for every spot? and if so, if i could connect them together to controll all spots at once? so they'd all change colors at the same time for example. i know you wrote this comment 2 years ago, but maybe you can still help me out :D

      Or Velcro strips

    • @babybirdhome
      @babybirdhome 5 років тому +3

      You kinda have to know how to use CommandIt strips to make them work properly. Otherwise if you just yank them off the wall, they're still a pretty good adhesive so they probably will pull paint off the wall. What you're supposed to do is grab that little curved edge and pull it out gradually parallel to the wall. The way they work is the backing material stretches which breaks the bond of the adhesive so that it isn't strong enough to damage the wall as it peels off. It's not Velcro and it doesn't work like Velcro, and if you try to use it like something it's not, you're going to be disappointed.

    Well for $300, I can cover 2.5 square feet with 9 "pixels" that change colour (woo). Or I could buy 40" TV screen to put on that wall instead that has more than 2.1 million pixels and I can hook it up wirelessly to my PC (which is millions of times "smarter that the so called "smart" tile that run the Nanoleaf kit). Or if it is the "sleek" look you after, get a cheap $300 dlp led projector and project some colour changing squares onto some blank art canvases (you can literally buy them at a dollar store). then there are no power or signal wires on your wall and the canvases don't have to be near each other or even parallel for that matter. Nanoleaf looks cool, but it is a (way) overpriced joke.
