It's weird that they are facing retaliation since they're mandated reporters. I'm surprised their unions aren't doing more to protect them. Hopefully they sue and the discovery process will expose everything.
Students don't seem to have any manners, self respect or discipline. Our school can't keep bus drivers for example. The way the students behave I can't blame the drivers for quitting en mass. Throwing food at the driver, running around on the bus, using language that would make a sailor blush, fighting and giving hand jobs in the back of the bus. The school is scared to discipline the students because of law suits and parents pretend their child would never do such things. Not because the parents really believe their child didn't do such things but if the child's bus riding privilege is stopped the parents would have to figure out how to get their angel to and from school. Teachers have it worse. Not saying that there aren't any teachers that get out of line. Again the school is afraid of law suits because the teachers union will go in and file a suit for wrongful discipline. Until parents become part of the solution, teacher unions are brought to heel and the litigation cess pool gets cleaned up things will continue to disintegrate
I agree, MOST kids are out of hand. My son and daughter were raised with morals and values and every day they come home they complain about the other kids and how they are mean, rude, load and just don't give a f*ck. I wish I didn't hate sending them to school. My poor son has been bullied and ever since the 3rd grade his mental health has deteriorated. 😢 Now I have to send him to a therapist and I'm worried about my daughter .
This is ridiculous... You should have went to school in the 60s and 70s.. there was another thing in those days though you didn't have kids going around shooting each other.. because they realize they can be hurt back...
I think i would like to know the whole story on these incidents. Was the use of physical force unprovoked? I see more and more videos of students being violent in school these days. It is getting to the point where teachers don't feel safe anymore. It is odd that suddenly out of the blue, across the entire, all of teachers have suddenly "gone mad" and started abusing kids. I would like to see a deeper dive. One day, between school sh**tings , poor pay, teachers having to buy their own supplies, hours getting cut and students attacking them...that we will no longer have anyone but unqualified candidates available to teach.
@@MuricaTurkey The report was about physical assault if you go by the incident they cited. I will listen again but never heard any references to SA. I listened carefully the 1st time because the title just said abuse. Tbh in this 2024 era it's natural for one to jump to the conclusion of SA. This report didn't actually relay much information.
I'm seeing this same thing in Ellsworth Community School District in Ellsworth WI. The high school band teacher was arrested for having sex with a student and a deeper look there has been this abuse going on for nearly 20 years. The principal was notified that inappropriate behavior between the band teacher and student was going on and did nothing. It was the students guardian who called the police. But staff, students and parents knew this crap was going on. Many good staff left this school district and some faced retaliation from administrators for attempting to blow the whistle on such misconduct. However, to bring up such abuse is a fight in of itself. No one believes you. It might have to take another sexual assault to get changes to happen.
Over 15 years ago we did everything we could to get my daughter into one of the best highschools in the Sacramento area. Within weeks my daughter's intuition starting burning and sure enough, one of her teachers ended up getting arrested for molesting ten girls and taking inappropriate photos. Rayburn, Casa Robles, look him up This is not rare.

10 Teachers are on PAID leave in St. Helens for Sexual abuse. TEN in a SINGLE district!
Sick people!!!!! And sick policies!!!
My sister is a school social worker in Beaverton, the things that she reports and no one listens to is insane. You also get in trouble for speaking up
Contact Trump administration they will believe her!!!

@@That1_89 I am so sorry about your children. It is heart breaking to not be able to protect your own children.

I would submit that we are pretty much there.
This is about SA. Not physical abuse. Are you saying the kids perhaps DESERVED SA?! Are you batty? Or just evil?

Oregon teacher ruined my son’s chance to go to a school that may have saved him!!
Ask the kids if the schools have been keeping them safe? They sure have not!!!!!
Stop letting them go on to different areas to stay around schools.

Public schools. Public unions. Do the math.
