Appreciate you putting it up on the lift and letting us see the suspension and undercarriage. Too many reviewers neglect to do that and it is very helpful for those of us who change our own oil. I just bought a preowned 2020 Camry SE.
I never really paid any attention to these until last fall, we got off the plane in Florida and went to pick up our rental car and ended up with one of these....it was brand new with literally 5 miles on the odometer, they must have just got it from the dealer lot. You could smell all the plastics and exhaust getting hot for the first time. I was fairly impressed with it, was a really nice car. Kinda unusual to get a rental thats brand new and "untenderized"!
Just got past the 600 mile recommended break-in period on my 2020 Camry SE. I've always been a sports car/sports sedan kind of guy. Must say this Camry SE has exceeded my expectations in all respects. I got just under 41 mpg on a 250 mile trip yesterday. Actually the trip computer was showing 43 mpg in a lowered speed zone just after I got on the freeway after filling up and reseting the computer.
I think the paddle shifts are just fine. Kind of fun to have for an automatic. The downshift feature is crap but I like being able to let it rev up a little before I shift.
i just don't like the fake vents and the no light in visor. overall I love camry's. always have been great cars! my dream car is the XSE model with panoramic sunroof and red interior ❤❤❤❤ great review!!
Nice car ! The paddle shifters can be used for engine braking by pulling the left (minus) paddle. I just got a red with black interior and like it a lot so far.
Very interested in this car, and I am aware of the 2020 engine recall, but trust Toyota will get it that fixed. However, one concern that I have repeatedly seen lately is with the battery dying, leaving people stranded. There’s seemingly a battery drainage issue with the 20s.
Looks like only 250 cars will have this engine problem total, so you should be safe there. Haven't seen or heard anything about the battery issue. Thanks for watching.
Good review Brian. The only thing I don’t like about the new Camry is the fake vents on the sides of the rear bumper. I passed one on the highway and thought they looked like gaps between the body and bumper. Other than that for me it’s a real nice car.
Thank you! I think the power sliding seat should be standard in all trims! I was surprised it's not in this SE trim. Toyota always does those nonsense little things in their vehicles
PIPSBURGH VIEWS Very smooth ride, good peace of mind knowing it’s one of the most reliable Toyota Models made. And as I said, it feels good knowing it was totally made here in the USA. The owners Manuel also gives the option for 0w-20 oil, as the weather get warmer/Hot, which I will do. 👍🇺🇸

@@PIPSBURGHVIEWS lol it just caught me off guard cause I know the SE only has the roof as an option. I also have the blind spot package which includes blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and active trajectory lines while using the backup center.
My big dislike on this is that it's an se and doesn't come with a keyless entry, while a corolla se has one, which is stupid and ignorant for whoever are marketing these vehicles.
Pretty sure that’s an option on the lower trim Corollas like the SE. Same goes with the Camry. My SE has keyless entry and push start button because it came with the convenience package. If I didn’t get an SE with that package then I’d have to use the fob to unlock/lock the car and use an actual key to start the ignition.
Awesome review Brian. Super informative and I love how you see more of the car with your style of presentation. Although some may find it bland because it’s not all tech or bells and whistles the more you know leads to a better decision for your car purchase. Keep up the great content.
