In this story an old man becomes a hermit and grows hallucenigenic root vegetables, possibly datura, and tricks people into eating it. And then laughs as they trip the fuck out.

That was amazing, very well written and flowing. Hard to find stories like these, props to the author. I love these long stories, I listen to them while I try to sleep. They help a lot when I don't have to find a new one when its over so quickly which can wake me up when I'm finally about to nod off.
I like the long creepypastas because I like to just relax and listen to them before bed. Weirdly enough they make me sleep like a baby. No nightmares. I get a little creeped out, but it's never so bad that I even get a little stress.
It just hit me that the people who write these pastas (especially the long ones) could be great book writers if they wanted to!

Holy sh*t was that freaking awesome!! It reminds me so much of H.P. Lovecraft's stories, with the talk of elder beings and all, but with it's own style and concept. Plus, it can also be considered as a PSA for not screwing with trees. Not since the Evil Dead series have I seen something like that

Righto I'll have to listen to this as I go out to gather money to purchase this book right away. I say without a doubt that Aaron Shotwell is hands down one of the best short fiction writers of the age. And MrCreepyPasta you never dissapoint me cheers for everything that you do on youtube it really made life more interesting for me.

I love how the protagonist essentially not only comes to terms with his fate, but essentially has converted. Stories done like that are rare, and if done right can be some of the best. This one's doing it right.

This is an actual true story that happened to me when I was a kid when I was about 10 years old stayed at a friend of mine because my mother was out of town for a couple days my friend and his family lived in a small shack of the house with one bedroom in the living room kitchen and basement everything started out fine at first until nighttime everyone has fallen asleep except for me as everybody slept I was laying there on the couch and that's when I saw it this black mass formed right in front of me as I looked at it started to crawl up the wall and made its way to the ceiling as it made it on the ceiling started to crawl towards me as it drew closer I was thinking to myself this cannot be real this cannot be happening to me I started to close my eyes hoping it was all a dream as I open my eyes again and look up it was staring right at me I did not know what it won't or why it was looking at but I remember as it was yesterday this creature was distorted and disfigured fixated on me with his cold dead eyes the kind of eyes that was stared directly into your soul as it looked at me and began to smile showing sharp jagged teeth frozen and unable to move as this thing hovered over me to this day it still brings a shiver down my spine as I lay there unable to move I thought surely I was going to die and I close my eyes one last time and opened them again it but what look-alike it's fair to his lips telling me to hush and before it disappeared into the darkness and said these few words that has frightened me to this very day they were I shall be watching and then it was gone in the next day packed all my stuff I left that house and never went back but even know I had left that place I still have that feeling that it still watches me to this day like it has never left so my advice to all of you don't go looking for the unknown because the unknown will be looking for you
