- This song is dedicated to my grandma. My dad has been sitting by her bedside for days, and she still hasn't recognized him. This song talks about the pain and sorrow of having a loved one not know you are there, hoping against hope that she can come back and say your name, one more time.
Update: She passed away about a month after I created this video. There were some fleeting moments when she recognized my dad, and once she even called my name and smiled. She passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Here is my advise for those who are young and still have time to do this: ask your grandpas and grandmas about their lives, their childhood, their relatives, their grandparents. You're all here because of them, because of who they still are. Once they are gone, that part of your story will be lost. So, take your time, put your ipad or iphone away, and spend sometime with them while they are still here.
My grandpa, an ma are allready dead, but my clients on my work, i've to thing off this song... And at home i cry...

For those who don't know what it;s like to lose but not lose a loved one, to dementia etc it's hard. They don't remember you. All that's left is stolen memories and silent tears. It fucking hurts...call your grandma and grandad. CALL them to let them know you love them :( before it;s taken from you and not by choice :(

I have nearly two years watching this song and I still see it because it is the best
My grandma's starting to forget things. She lives far away, so we can't just visit her whenever we want. Sometimes, when she calls, she'll repeat something she's already said multiple times in the same call. She's called my dad multiple times asking about his injured foot and when he's coming to see her. Problem is, his foot's been better for months now, and he visited her a little bit before he injured it. Grandpa being in the hospital hasn't helped matters at all. Dad'll be heading down south this March Break to help her and grandpa move out of their house into a nursing home since they can't really take care of themselves anymore. This isn't like with grandmama who died of cancer before I really got to know her; I love these two so much and it hurts knowing there's nothing I can do for them.
My grand grandmother died today. I am completely heart broken. I miss her dearly. She couldn't recall who I was but I was on her side all the time. Hugging her, kissing her and telling her how much I loved her. You will be missed my dear.

I always think of my grandmother when i hear this song. The last time i saw her was the night before she died. She had lost all memory of me and she looked so strange she wasnt my grandmother anymore. I never cried when she died i was happy she was free from her hell. But i miss her so and this song makes me cry when i hear it and think of her.

I messed up. After grandma died, my family moved down south to be closer to grandpa. My parents were going to visit him, and invited me to come along. I was busy getting settled into my new place, so I turned them down. The next I heard, he had died.

Did she originally sing this song about her mother or some one close to her? what is the official meaning behind the song? I did think it was about someone passing.
It's about her gradmother who suffered from demencia/altzheimer. There is another song about this called Lost from the unforgiving album.
