I am from Delhi. For the past 4 years, I have been working in Chennai. These 4 years I have learned a lot about life and people. Tamil people are collectively sweet and kind to even strangers. Initially I had the ego driving me acting like as a North Indian, I'm superior to the Tamil people and did not care about anything. But the karma played it's drama in my life. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and our family decided to treat her in Chennai. It was one of the popular cancer institute in the country. In the 20+ months of journey, so many Tamil people helped my family and supported us a lot. That too, mostly strangers. My relatives and friends in Delhi, they did not even care about my mom's life. I am so grateful to this Tamil people as without them, my family would be in so much turmoil and we would have lost my mom.

I bow down to people like Guru Nanak Singh, Prithviraj Chauhan and Shivaji Maharaj and others whom the Islamic leader Maulana Azad, the first Education minister ( also the leader of the Khilafat movement which resulted in the genocide of Hindus in Malabar in 1921, combined with the Kohat genocide 1924 compelled the formation of RSS in 1925) disguised as a Commie made sure that our Kshathriya Kings valour wasn't mentioned in our History books or else we might develope a sense of subconscious pride towards our culture..

North Indians have a lot to learn from South Indians. Many north Indians use left hand while eating and serving food which is considered uncivilized in South India. In South India food is served and consumed only using right hand
Many north Indians wear slippers inside home and wearing slippers inside home is totally void in South India.

😅 I am from Delhi, my parents are from jharkhand . Even my parent's taught me left hand is bad . Maybe you are talking about people from otherreligion, but here Hindus are taught to use right hand and discourage use of left hand in any way . And we have separate pair of slippers used specifically for home only and not used outside on roads . Also slippers are used mainly inside home in winter seasons to protect from cold and sometimes when cleaning is being done in house . We aren't allowed to wear slippers taken outside for walk back and used inside home 😅.

I guess the only exposure to South Indian food that North Indians get in restaurants up North is Idlis and Dosas. Its like saying North Indian food is only Aloo, Puri and Rotis and Dal since that's all you will see in the South if you ask for North Indian food in general. But there is such a rich variety of food - vegetables, various dals, various rice dishes, chutneys (massive numbers), pickles. Then when you throw in non-veg food, its a huge selection including Seafood which you really don't even get in the North of India.
