- This is the original story of The Little Mermaid, written by Hans Christian Andersen, author of The Snow Queen (Frozen).
We used Prince Eric as our perspective. In our revision, Prince Eric became a captain leading voyages for search of mermaids. Watch the video to know why.
This is a video made for our finals project in MMA class. In collaboration with Claudine Quintela, Alex Calaquian and Kirby Pedron.

I love it! Such a beautiful story and the art is amazing! :D
as what she done for the prince is true love an act of true love of the story although a sad ending but that's how it's the true meaning of love that Andersen wrote so it's still a good story of a fairy tale.

I had the same idea of having the story being told by the human princess's perspective.

Out of the years of me obsessed with the original little mermaid, I've never seen this until now. Although some details were off from the original story , I can see details that are similar to the original story, Disney's version, and the little mermaid short film from 1975(in youtube). I always pondered on how the real ending would be like, that is what goes on after the book and the death or other characters. What really happened to the prince that is now king.... what about the mermaid's sisters and family? Why do you do this to us Hans Christian Andersen ;-;;;;;;
well it's because it's seems Hans christian Andersen never got married because i don't remember but a woman he love married to another man she loved it's probably he created the little mermaid based on his life but the moral of the fairy tale is that like Olaf the snowman once said "Love is like putting someone's needs before yours."
and like as love is to give not receive the fairy tale isn't exactly happy ending of a happily ever after of getting the girl or getting the guy but to give the girl or guy it's sad that the little mermaid didn't got the human prince but at least she did the right thing by sacrificing herself to save him instead of saving herself to kill him to still live to become a mermaid again it's a bittersweet ending but on the bright side still she's alright in a spirit way after she died with the daughters of the air unlike Disney's version it's Andersen's original version of the story of good morals but those stories between Disney's and Andersen's original story that can still relate one another despite different endings maybe so i still like both disney's little mermaid and Andersen's little mermaid.

@@Skylight5544 it's just the point that life in the world isn't perfect unfortunately but it's how it is, we're all only mortal humans need to be healthy happy with disney by doctor's orders but must remain to accept Anderson's work also.
