With so many accessories and gadgets to turn the Sony RX0 II into a bonafide mini video creator, there is no reason to overlook this little marvel that can do so much in such a small form factor.

this is probably the best example of what the Sony RXO ii is capable of in the correct hands.looks amazing, all other video’s I’ve seen treat this camera as an action camera.
Couldn't agree more!
True except for this price you can get an actual camera
@@ta-da3054 - The actual camera that cost this much will not have the kind of combined options this camera provide such as external uncompressed HDMI plug and an actual Microphone plug, a one inch sensor, the water proof protection, and in the form factor of this camera.
Always a pleasure to see a tool being used in skilled hands. So many negative reviews of this tiny unique camera here, but hard not to be amazed by the size of this camera with a 1" sensor. Your low light images here are great!
The camera bends to the artist. Well done.
Love it, but for locked off shots just use a big boy yes?
I bought the RX for my hiking stories. also takes great pictures and videos
@matthiasgehtwandern - Thank you for watching and subscribing.
I recently picked up the RXO 2 and I now have the DJI Action 4 as well. Action 4 is great for vlogging hikes and to get gimbal like pan shots etc. however I use the RXO for almost all the tripod shots as image quality is noticeably better. It's also a great little camera for stills as well.
@TheWalkingKev - There is a mini gimbal made specially for RXO II that will let you shoot all the movement shot you want with this camera and it's cheap. I use it all the time. Here it is: amzn.to/3GreHH4
@@join_the_ride_nyc I'll have to see if it's available in the UK and how much my RXO weighs with a cage and ND filter to see if it can take it. Thanks for sending me the link, I haven't seen that before.
@@TheWalkingKev This gimbal should be able to take all that weight. I mount my Sony RX100 VII on this gimbal with no problem. If you use this magnetic quick release adapter, you can easily attach and dismount and replace your action cameras on this gimbal. Here is the magnetic quick release that I use: www.saveshopshipdepot.com/shop/p/dji234action2pinmagneticmountbase-combokit
I switch between the RX0 II , my insta360, my Sony RX100 VII and my GoPro on this gimbal with just a snap using the quick release.
I use my sony RX O II with moondog anamorphic lens and beastgrip lenses .
awesome! did not use mine for a while ao I decided to send it to back bone and get a m4/3 and c-mount on it. smallest cinema rig ever, combined with nice small super 16mm lenses
Very cool!

@@join_the_ride_nyc thanks, I tried this one with fellow sensor, forgot the name (for phones but works)

@@join_the_ride_nyc oh that's cool
the big problem is you can get only stabilize balanced on Inkee Falcon Plus because there's only Sony and some third party cameras handheld that's support Controller function on Sony rx0 ii (on/off, records/stop, zoom in/out etc.)
@parisiandelaos - Thanks for watching and subscribing. That's not a problem. Just pre-plan your professional shot and anticipate the length of the shot. This is not the camera to use for your primary footage. It is for a B roll and multiple agle shots.
Great video! I was thinking about getting the Sony RX0 ii or the DJI Action 4, for travel videos. I don't necessarily need an action camera just something more rugged to use with my Pixel 6 Pro.
In your opinion would the Sony + gimbal be good for walking videos and occasional unsteady shots like from a boat?
I recommend buying the DJI pocket 3. You will be dissapointed with Sony RX0 II if you take it for travel because the battery capacity is very short.
Pick up the DJI Pocket 3 when it is still available and not sold out again like when it just came out: amzn.to/3uPGy1c
Great, thanks for the reply! @@join_the_ride_nyc
Either wait for the DJI Action 5, it will be released end of August. Or, hope Sony will release an RX0 m3 someday during this lifetime.
@@i-am-ali1672 Unfortunately, the Action 5 will not have much difference in low light advancement than the Action 4 because the sensor for both will still be the same size. Sony will no longer putting out any new RXO line up. RIght now, DJI pocket 3 is the low light beast that everyone is trying to beat.
@@join_the_ride_nyc The pocket 3 is pretty good. It's just not as reliable and sturdy as the Action 4 or 5. Not waterproof either. You really have to weigh down the pros and cons of each model, and then choose whichever suits your needs the most.
I also have the RX0 II, and for shots on tripods/gimbals/handheld with minimal movement it provides much more cinematic footage than any of the large sensor action cameras. I also have the Insta360 One R 1”, and the Sony produces footage I think you could much more easily drop into a larger professional project.
It doesn’t work so well as an action camera though, the built in stabilization is rather poor and using the Sony desktop software where it uses the gyroscope data to stabilize things, it crops into the already not super wide angle lens. I think it works more as a b/c camera for larger projects and with Slog, could easily match the larger Sony cine cameras. You need a gimbal really for smooth motion however and that kind of defeats the purpose. Good video though, and highlighting a camera that people might not know about.
@wacapp85 - Thanks, and yes, this is more like a mini cinema cam than a regular action cam. This mini camera can easily be rigged to shoot hi def stuff in tight or impossible to reach places by regular sized camera. If you tether it with the Ninja V externally, you get a 4k raw s-log 3 footage out of this little thing. That alone is amazing.
@@join_the_ride_nyc It is wild what you can get out of it, I really like the image. It is hilarious rigging it out to be the world’s smallest cinema camera though.

@wacapp85 - if you use a gimbal like I do, it become a hi res cinema that you can take anywhere. This is the gimbal that work for RX0 II: amzn.to/3RopqIE
You record in slog-2?
@danielherreramartinez5570- Thanks for liking and subscribing. Yes, I record in S-Log 2.
the battery life is too short, did you use dummy battery or something ?
@adamkent7707 - Thanks for watching and subscribing. Are you aware that you can buy a battery dongle that can power this unit using a massive Sony MPF-550 battery which let you record on this camera for hours on end? Do a search on aliexpress. You're welcome.
I already have action 5 pro. Would you recommend to purchase a second hand Rx0ii around US$300 in 2024?
@kurtleeart - Thanks for watching and subscribing. It all depend on what you are doing with your file. If you are just blogging and doing and walk and talk video, then you do not need the RX0II at all. Especially since the RXOII do not have a built-in video stabilizer.
But if you are shooting B roll footage that require S-Log color codex, then it is a good idea to have this very capable tiny professional camera handy as part of your arsenal. I use this camera as my B-Roll device in my bag. When you use an exterior storage for the footage like the Ninja V, you will get a raw footage unmatched by ANY action camera in the market.
